This spring, I bought a tree from them. It was wilting and their advice was to water and fertilize more. WRONG! After I sent the pictures to the store, it turns out that they sold me a tree with Verticillium fungus. This is a soil borne fungus and is an incurable disease. We had to dig up the tree and all surrounding soil, and disinfect all our tools. I only hope the fungus doesn’t spread to our newly landscaped yard. This is the last plant I will ever buy from them.

went to the lake oswego 7 dees saturday to check out spring flowers have to say this place was rocking and i see why. it was like going to Buthart gardens. my wife and i walked around getting ideas to implement at our house. i guess its no secret how cool this place is cause it was crowded and there was a fast moving line of people getting there items boxed and loaded into there cars were going back during the week when its not as busy so we can ask the staff about what plants we liked work best our locations. it was such a nice day i have a feeling a couple employees may have called in «sick» as they looked short handed. Manager was doing his best to direct traffic and make sure everyone got help though was our third nursery visit that day and the one we will be going back to

I like the cozy location and the fun products they have here on top of the usual gardening supplies. They have home décor and fun little indoor plants. Prices are reasonable. Downtown Lake Oswego is pretty close and there is a Starbucks just across the street if you fancy a place to sit and sip.

They had a holiday baazar about one month ago that I attended. They gave complimentary hot drinks and samples of wine /hard cider from vendors. I enjoyed it, but I think they needed more parking and more marketing for it since the vendors weren’t getting much business. Their sale items are always a good find and it is a nursery worth exploring. Been there a few times. My favorite community event was their tomato sampling event in the summer. I got to try dozens of tomatoes even sweet ones I had never tried before. Fun nursery to visit if you are in West Linn or Lake Oswego. Sign up for specials and get event happenings with their monthly email.

Came in for transplaning and potting supplies on a Sunday afternoon — which they had. I mentioned that the moles were back and more annoying than ever making the back yard dangerous for my aged dad to walk on(tripping issues) and they suggested I try this granular mole«deterrent» that does not kill them but makes the soil and grubs in the soil unappetizing to the moles. Its been a week and the mole activity has stopped. Knowledgable friendly people. Thank you. I’ll be back.

I just got off the phone, trying to get an estimate for a small landscaping job. I’m not talking planting tulips in a bed small, but leveling a yard & installation of a retaining wall and some raised beds. Nothing huge but still a job. I was told if I’m getting other bids, it won’t be worth his time to come out and give me an estimate. Though I understand the logic behind this, it’s horrible customer service. It sounds like a lot of people have had excellent experience with them and that’s great! But for anyone who has a small to medium sized job and just doesn’t have the time or know-how to do it themselves, don’t waste your time because they’ll tell you you’re wasting theirs. Rude.

The customer service is good, and the staff here is friendly and helpful. The plants are beautiful and they have a large selection. However, it is way pricey, and 4⁄5 pf my plants died! Literally. I spent nearly $ 100 on plants for my balcony, and took notice to care for them. In fact, I had to make multiple trips back to show them sprigs of leaves i had cut off, and the consensus was that sometimes the plants are inherently defective. As a result I did get one of the hanging plants replaced free of charge, but unfortunately 1 of the hanging ones, and 3 of the potted ones died. Ironically, all the plants I got from the grocery stores are alive and well, so it begs the question of why the plants at 7Dees are so delicate…

What ever happened to the cashier saying«Hi» and«Thank you» when making a purchase? How about you just grunt when I walk up and spit on me when I walk away after doing me the favor of ringing up my purchase? Granted, most of the people here are helpful and courteous but an otherwise good experience is ruined by one(and the final) interaction.

Portland may have cornered the market on fine dining, but my part of the metro area has a nursery on practically every corner. Even though Dennis’ 7 Dees is on the expensive side, I’ve been impressed on every visit by the staff and the selection. They also offer a one-year guarantee on all their plants. I am relandscaping part of my yard and after exhaustive discussions at multiple nurseries, I have been happiest here. The plants just seem healthier and they are always very well staffed. That means we have always found someone willing to talk through different options, ring us up quickly and escort us to the car and load our purchases. On one visit, I was putting together a few items and the employee said, «Oh, that just makes my heart happy!» As my husband observed, anything with a Monrovia tag is going to be $$, but they usually have multiple size options for every plant, so you can save money by going a little smaller and patiently waiting for your plants to grow. They also have a 20% off coupon in the Chinook Book. Good quality + a coupon makes my heart happy.

The nursery has come back sooo far in the last several years. It has a beautiful and complete stock of wonderful perennials and a knowledgeable and friendly staff to help with all your questions. Warning: It is the type of place that when you stop buy you get immediate urges to start planting! Everything is nicely arranged and fun to browse through. It is just the right size and has such a great selection, especially of affordable smaller specimens. Seriously, there has obviously been a lot of hard work going into making this a great place to shop!

This is one of my favorite garden centers. They have a huge selection of plants for your garden or flower bead. They use organic products on the roses they grow. They have a variety of roses available and they also see bamboo. When you go inside the store they have a large selection of chemical and organic product for your garden. They also have very friendly staff who can answer all of your questions. When I visited Aaron helped me out and he really knows his gardening stuff. Remember to say hello to the cat that lives at the nursery — when I visited he was sleeping on the counter in his bed.
