Curry In A Hurry

I don’t even know how to rank this place. I got phenomenal delivery from here a couple of times but the one time I sat in the dining room a roach ran across the table. I can’t get past it and most likely won’t go back. I was with a group and everyone was enjoying their meal, I didn’t have the heart to even mention what I just saw but I gasped and then stopped eating. Wishing I could erase this from memory because prior to that experience, based on my love of good Thai cuisine I was confident that this place and I were going to be BFFs in my new hometown.

We went here after reading reviews on Unilocal.We were NOT disappointed. My husband had pad Thai medium spice. He enjoyed it a lot. I had the scrumptious pumpkin curry. I can’t do spicy, and this just had a tiny bit of a kick. It was delicious! The daughter, who will eat fried rice for any meal, chose the golden fried rice here. She took her first bite and her eyes lit up! Needless to say it was a great meal. Though about 40 minutes from home, we will definitely be going again!

Amazing food, I have been going here about 3 times a week for the last 10 years and I have only been disappointed once. Everywhere else in Lake Oswego is overpriced and you cannot get this good of Thai food anywhere in town. I have never found another thai place as good as this one and I have been to about 100.

Service is great, the food is even better. Their Pad Thai and Golden Fried Rice in particular are phenomenal.

Looooove curry in a hurry. I moved away and crave their Pad Thai. Really good value for lunch too — they give you a side of soup for free!

The Chicken Pad Thai and curry dishes are great here. This is one of our family favorite restaurants. Easy low-​key dining environment and always great for take-​out.

Great curry, one of my favorite places to get red curry around. Good sized portions just as spicy as you ask for, and always hot. The décor inside is nice, and everything is clean. I have only eaten at the restaurant once, but I did enjoy the visit. I have not tried all of their dishes, but have had the red curry and chicken pad Thai, and both were excellent.

A solid 3/​stars! foods decent not to bad on price for the area. And very nice staff!

Great food, great service, and very affordable! Where else can you get a full meal of chicken curry for under 9 bucks? And they really live up to their name. The food was ready in a hurry.

Really enjoyed our food here, and though service was slow, it was good. What I wanted to complain about though is another patron that was in the restaurant. I hope he sees this.
You were sitting at the table near the door with who I would guess is your mother or grandmother. You were talking at such a loud volume the entire time and talking poorly about the restaurant, you sent the food back because there might have been peanuts in it, you complained about the water, and you left your grandmother to eat alone. I was seriously embarrassed for you. As we pulled away I saw you walking out of a close business and I gave you the finger. Treat people better you turd!

I called in an order for take out and I felt rushed on the phone as I kept getting cut off before finishing my order. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt; that perhaps they were just busy. I got there a little before 5:00pm and there was no one in the restaurant.
They were quick, however. They told me my order would be ready in 10 – 15 minutes, but I arrived 5 minutes after my phone call and it was already done. $ 10.50 for Pad See Ew and a side of white rice. Good value. The portion size was average.
The taste left much more to be desired! This was the worst pad see ew I have ever had, and I eat Thai food quite frequently (check my other reviews). The noodles were thin and the flavor was seriously lacking. It’s a bad sign when I have to use soy sauce to add to the taste. There was not enough broccoli. The dish was so disappointing, and I will not be returning here.
I should have just waited an extra half hour for Singha Thai to open up and get the pad see ew from them — much more delicious, and generous portion of broccoli.

My Last Order:
Duck Curry — (Last time I ordered it, it was SOOO spicy. Normally it’s not. Maybe make sure to say something if you ask for it.)
Chicken Pad Thai — Normally good, but last time I ordered it, there were just noodles and limes — no peanuts, no green onion, no bean sprouts, nothing. Super boring.
Spring and Summer Rolls are great.
I like the Veggie Massaman curry with chicken added.
If you order without changing anything — it’s awesome. Translations aren’t always clear there, but great food and really nice owners. It’s a local neighborhood spot, and I go there for takeout at least once a month!

A hidden gem. We had two appetizers, two meals and leftovers for $ 27. The food was amazing.

One of my favorite thai places in Oregon. My mother is thai so I’m always hesitant to take her to thai restaurants since her cooking is stellar. I have been for lunch and dinner– both excellent. Took mom for lunch and she ordered the rad nah noodles with chicken, I ordered pad se ew noodles with chicken and spicy papaya salad. Mom says to order the papaya salad «Lao Style» if you want authentic spice, which is really spicy for most people. Everything was great, she spoke to our server in Thai, everyone there was pleasant. She was happy with the food so that made me happy. I would also recommend the curries. Lunch is a great deal and good portion size. Sad to be moving away, but would return if we came back to Portland. Kop kun kah (thank you)!!

Seems like it is mainly a take out restaurant, but the dining room is comfy.

The food here is great. I asked for «very spicy» food and it was not only very spicy, but it was fully integrated into very food flavors.
It was a fantastic experience.

Definitely 5 stars. The décor is cute when you walk in, they immediately see you and show you where to sit. Drinks and appetizers came quickly! They app we tried was the chicken satay with peanut sauce, the sauce definitely tasted fresh. Then our meals came quickly after that. The presentation was nice. It was fresh and made perfectly. I’m picky about my pad se ew and this was great. The portions are gigantic! They kept a close eye on my soda and kept them coming I think I actually had 3! Which is alot but I just kept drinking everytime they filled it up. The waitresses were all very nice and didn’t bother us every 5 minutes. I definitely will go back to try other things. They were very busy too! Alot of people get carry out and the seats were pretty full also so it must be good.

I give it one star for the iced Thai tea. I just moved here recently and decided to pick up some Thai food. I’ve eaten a great deal of Thai food in several states, so when I go to a new restaurant I pick something I’ve had that I know is good. I go in and order the pad kee mao. I find it a bit weird she doesn’t ask me how spicy I want it, but pad kee mao is pretty spicy on its own without having to ask for it. That’s the whole shtick of pad kee mao, or «drunken noodles», they’re crazy spicy. My dish came to me more brown than I’d ever seen it prepared before, but hey, maybe its just the way they prep it.
It had no flavor. At all. Even my boyfriend, who is kind of a lightweight when it comes to spicy food, said it had absolutely zero of the spicy flavor he’s used to tasting when I have him try my pad kee mao elsewhere. It didn’t even taste good. His duck curry was over cooked, the duck was rubbery. The tempura was kind of sad, it didn’t seem to be coated properly and it was tempura like I’d never seen it. When we finally got the check I saw the waitress had taken the liberty of ringing my pad kee mao in as «mild.»
I really wanted to like this place because everyone else seems to and the name is adorable, but I can’t even justify giving them a second shot after ruining one of my favorite dishes.

Good curry served well. This place has an extensive menu, several daily specials and the food seems to be very authentic, if perhaps a little milder than usual (presumably to suit the average taste bud in Oregon?)
I like the décor, it is a small place with a lot of attention to detail. I tried the house special (red) chicken curry and enjoyed the wide selection of fresh veggies that are incorporated into the food. They didn’t ask how hot I wanted it and I think it could have been a little hotter for my taste. Having said that, the veggies were crisp, the sauce was tasty and the chicken was tender and flavorful — so definately worth another try requesting a little more fire the next time.
I brought my wife a mild pad sey ew with chicken and my son one of their new options, a spicy Panang Nua home after enjoying my meal there. Both were suitably impressed.
It’s a nice Thai place and one I’ll try again.

I don’t really care much for the curry and I’m a relax type so I’ve never really taken a good look at this restaurant until yesterday (although, I’ve been passing by uncountable times).
Well, not a lot of curries on the menu and they weren’t in a hurry either. They were actually slow! I ordered Rad Nah Chicken (large flat noodles), it was a little too salty for me but quite tasty! Service was pretty good, plenty of parking & large portion.
I will go back…
