Blast Burger

Great milkshakes and burgers. Prime lakefront location and nice patio. Blast burger is my favorite. Service can be a little slow here based on our several encounters at different times of day indifferent seasons, I’m thinking it’s probably just their pace. Not the place we’d choose to go if we were in a hurry but if we want to spend some time outside and enjoy a drink or two before we eat, this is a good place.
Price a little high for a family burger joint but then again location location location!

This place is in a great location with a wonderful seating area outside where you can do some people watching. I was excited to try it because I was craving a good burger and fries.
The fries were good, and my burger was lukewarm. I need my hot food to be hot. This was not. On top of this the service was very slow and there were only two seated tables inside. I cannot abide slow service. My husband ordered his burger with onion rings, and those were good.
I might go back again, because I hear the happy hour is decent. However, there are other places nearby that I prefer, and Portland is so close that to eat here with their mediocre food and service just doesn’t make sense.

Food is mediocre and service is equally mediocre. Ordering «to go» is not a pleasant experience and the people who work there treat you like you are a nuisance. When I placed an order off the menu that is currently ON the website, I was told I must have an old menu as the food item is no longer available?!? All the employees or owner (s) who work there seem miserable and rushed. It’s not something I will experience again as I will not be going back!

Worst service. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for many years and I’m appalled. We sat for a long time before we were even acknowledged, it took even longer for them to come back for our drink orders. My friend is visiting from out of town and they just flat out forgot his food. We had to wave someone down to tell them. We also didn’t get the waters we ordered. It was not busy, I really didn’t understand why we waited so long for everything. I will not be back.

Came here with some friends for a quick bite. My first time and Portland and we shot for burgers haha!
Overall, the place has a prime location in my opinion and also a great outdoor patio! I went for the basics and got me an IPA and the Blast Burger; a quarter pound burger with jalapenos, anaheim peppers, serrano peppers, chipotle aioli and pepper jack cheese. This burger definitely had some pop to the palate. Spicy indeed, but thankfully my beer was there to save my butt. Overall, I thought the burger itself was over-​cooked even though I ordered it medium. The spice was great, but boy I like to feel and taste my food in the end. The fries were hand-​cut truffle fries and who doesn’t love that! Overall, probably my favorite part of my meal. Service was okay and I would say the location is what really draws me to this place. — Enjoy!

We have gone here a few times in the past few years, the first time we had wonderful Banana Splits. we came back today for them and they no longer serve them. BOOOOOOO
Its a bit pricey for a one scoop sundae and half the bowl is whipped cream. $ 5 each… ouch. however, our server Jonathan was amazing, prompt, friendly, engaging and courteous.

When this shop first opened a few years a go, I was so excited to try it! Unfortunately, I have been there about ten times over the years and I have never received adequate service. My most recent experience is «Yelp Review» worthy…
I ordered the Liga Mexico Bowl to go and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up 20 minutes later, and my bowl was not done. The young man rung me up for $ 12…though the online menu has it listed for $ 10. I told him that was not the price I saw online, and he showed me that their in-​store menu has it listed for $ 12 dollars. I showed him the online menu on my phone and he called over his supervisor. The conversation went nowhere though I was doing my best to be polite. The man just looked at me and said, «This happens all the time at restaurants. You should know to check the in-​store menu because the online menu is not always accurate.» Um no. It is NOT my responsibility as a customer to make sure that you weren’t lying to me on your online menu. Absurd. Also, what is the point of having an online menu and a to-​go system if you have to come into the store to see the price? I told them I wouldn’t pay the $ 12 dollars, and he was visibly frustrated with me. He acted like he was doing me a favor and said, «Just this once, we will charge you ten dollars.» I paid the ten dollars, paid $ 2 for tip (though I didn’t think they deserved it) and walked out of there!
I left to find that they had forgotten to make it without tomatoes… and the rice was undercooked (like, hard to chew because it was so crunchy).
If you want to be treated with respect, don’t eat here. If you want them to get your order correct, don’t eat here.
But the food usually tastes decent. And their fries are awesome.

Worst customer service ever. First time we weren’t even offered water until about 10 minutes after we sat down and there were plenty of servers wandering around clearly noticing us but not taking it upon themselves to do their job. At the end of the meal we were given the wrong check, then after they gave us the right check and we gave them the card they returned us someone else’s check and card. In their defense, our first visit was about 2 months into their existence so I figured maybe they were still trying to get everything running smoothly. I ended up giving them another shot a few weeks later when I went to lunch with my dad and the customer service had not changed. They get 1 star for not mixing up the checks the second time but please invest in some proper training. I expected much hire quality service especially for a restaurant in the Lake Oswego area.

While this place is located in the nicest area in Lake Oswego near the water, the food is simply sub-​par. The food is extremely over-​priced for the quality being served. I ordered a cheeseburger and the bun was soggy and the fries were not very crunchy, not to mention it cost 11.50. For a cheeseburger! Thankfully our waitress was very kind, but overall the food is not something I would recommend. Best use for this place is to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and order a beer during happy hour for 3 bucks.

Something’s not right…
The Mac n cheese no longer tastes homemade. The noodles were the same but the sauce tasted and looked like it came out of a box, even had a brownish tint to it (used to be buttery white). The fact that my kids didn’t lick the bowl as they normally would speaks wonders. And why was there a rogue piece of corn in it? Speaking of rogue, there was a naked cold noodle in their fruit too. Wtf, quality control much?
The chicken strips used to taste like chicken. Now they are half hard, crunchy batter, half salty chicken. Or maybe it’s salty batter? I couldn’t tell. Oh and my fries were horribly soggy.
The one improvement is the crunchy poppers now present in the signature blast burger.
It’s been a while since we’ve come here, and it’s gonna be a while before we come back… c’mon guys. Get it together!

It’s unfortunate I can’t say 0 stars. This is the second time I have tried this place and can’t believe how understaffed they are. Our waters didn’t come for 20 minutes, our drinks followed after about a half an hour and the kids meals were sent back because they were wrong. I went to ask the waitress if we could get waters and she said she had 5 tables to worry about… Not what a waitress should say, how about «they will be right out»… How about having a friendly waitress who actually wants to be friendly. I’m not sure I will give this place another chance though the locate deserves a staff that should be managed a bit better.
I hope they work on a management that caters to customers who would like to enjoy their dinners.

Honestly over priced for average burgers. The fries were not to die for, the onion rings were boring, and the sweet potato fries weren’t crispy.

The food was awesome. location was nice too. the chicken strips were great and the fries weren’t greasy at all.

Great food, found by accident. Was looking for the french bistro next door but, when we got there they had no more sandwiches or would make more.: (so next door it was. .Chicken strip delish, french fries awesome. Ketchup was delicious too… Pies are the bomb! You’ll love it!

The entrees were satisfying. Not over the top, panties-​on-​the-​floor delicious, but good. The staff were friendly when they were around. It took them a while to get our food to us. The bathrooms are in a funky spot, so don’t hold it until things start to get real.
But the fries. THE FRIES.
I would marry the sweet potato fries if it were legal and socially acceptable.

Good burgers and fries. I especially enjoyed the ‘hot Swiss chick’ chicken burger. The chicken is flavorful and moist. The regular fries and sweet potato fries are delicious! Leave enough room to share one of their yummy cupcakes for dessert.

Food was ok. Service needed works. When the order came out, wasn’t sure it was our order. Ordered cheese burger no onions, got onions, ordered hold the buns no cottage cheese, came with cottage cheese, ordered the fries extra crispy… Not. Order side salad, brought full size and charges full size. After pointed outs the error they hold the way the mistakes and over to re cook the fries which showed up after the burger was done. Other than that no complains. Just to know the restaurant was less than half full.

The corn dogs are the best corn dogs in the world. The burgers are flavored perfectly and leave me stuffed every time. And the happy hour at 8 is awesome! Best burger place in lake oswego.

If you are craving a burger there is no better place to get your fix than Blast Burger. They hand press and sear there burgers locking in all the juiciness and freshness of the beef. They also gave great vegetarian, gluten free and seafood options as well. They always have an excellent selection of rotating local draft beers. We were there last Tuesday and found out they do dollar pints of all their microbrews every tuesday until the kegs blow. Great family friendly atmosphere. Keep it up!

Their happy hour is great, beer for $ 3 and some good food as well. I got the special which was a club sandwich. It was great.
In the summer they have lots of outdoor seating. I need to come back for their milkshakes as they look delicious!
