Best bagels around!!! They also have fantastic food for breakfast and lunch. Prices are reasonable as well.

We love Mannies bagels.
The kids have no real bagel memories… Not like I did growing up. Mannies reminds me of the old Detroit bagel factory that we’d frequent on Sunday mornings. You can smell the fresh bagels baking and feel their warmth through the glass case. Nothing tasted better than a warm fresh baked bagel… Egg flavor or salt. Yumm. Melt in your mouth.
Anyway Mannies is as close as you get to an old fashioned bagel shop.
They’ll toast it and add a shmear if you want. They’ll even make a fancy sandwich with all the traditional fillings: lox and the like.
You can grab a cold drink or a cuppa Joe as well.
This is not a boutique bagel stop this is the real deal!

Always happy with their food and friendly service. I usually get the lox and bagel which is amazing with plenty of fish… But today I decided to try their dinty moore sandwich. It was very good. They cannot grill the bread but only toast it; thought that would be a problem for me but really it was still a great sandwich. This place even though it’s about 7miles from work is one of the places I enjoy going to for lunch and is consistently good.

Awesome bagels and better cream cheese! Coffee not bad either! This place is a little gem.

I am so excited that I found this little gem! The bagels are perfection. I have only been there 3 times but have been happy every trip. I’m not sure how they do it but every bagel is hard and crunchy on the outside but still soft and squishy on the inside. Delicious!
It can get a little busy on a weekend morning. The employees run around as fast as they can to keep the line moving. The bagels are worth waiting in line for. The only thing I wish they had was a fountain soda machine. I am addicted to fountain soda. My fault not theirs. Everything is great!

The bagel was fresh and very flavorful, tomatoes where fresh and the lox was delicious. An awesome sandwich.
They have a variety of deli sandwiches which I’m gonna try many of them so start toned for more reviews.

Always good. I go in there when I am on that side of town. Wish the bagel shop on the other side of town was this good, instead I usually just go without bagels.

Great service and selection. Stop buying panera bagels for your office and buy here instead. Staff will love you for it.

A coworker told me that we had to try this shop in Lake Orion. I popped in here one morning and was pleasantly surprised with the variety of bagels (and other products)! I am not much of a breakfast person but decided on a slightly hung over day to check them out.
The selection of bagels was really impressive. Standard bagels are only 95 cents and the specialty bagels are $ 1.35 (maybe?). I absolutely love the Michigan cherry bagel. It is slightly pink with chunks of cherry swirled throughout the soft inside! I have had this bagel twice and loved it both times.
Earlier this week, I swung by to pick up a couple dozen bagels for work. I asked for a variety and picked out three cream cheeses. During the meeting, a couple coworkers asked where I picked up such delicious bagels! While I did not try the regular or the cinnamon cream cheese, the garden vegetable was absolutely to die for! I imagine it would be incredible on sandwiches!
Do yourself a favor and try this place! I love it!

Mannie’s makes the best bagels! The staff is quick to put your order together and very nice while doing it. Many coffee choices, many sandwhich choices. Everything is delicious here, come and try it!

This place has the best bagels in Lake Orion. If you feel otherwise, it’s because you are an idiot. Seriously, try them.

I’m affiliated with a large association and volunteer organization. I would list this establishment as the worst possible place for customer service. Those listing these are the best bagels this side of New York City? These folks have obviously never traveled outside the state of Michigan! Horrible. not true. The toasting is inadequate and rushed. They are more like a bun. This place is horrible. Don’t waste your time or your money

Great morning bagels! Open super early, family owned. A hint for those with lactose issues the scrambled eggs have a milk product of some type in them. Good coffee, wide menu. Busy on the weekend.

Great real bagels. Come here every so often with My kids on the way to school in the morning and sit at the high top table. If you want to indulge try the jalapeño cheese bagel. Quaint little shop but sufficient.

Best bagels in Michigan! It is simply impossible to make them better. Unique cream cheeses are the best too!

Hands down. The best bagels this side of New York. The staff are friendly and the owner is usually hanging out back doing paperwork. No one makes an everything bagel like they do. The open early and close early.

First of all, this review is for items on the menu that are NOT bagels. I have been to Mannie’s before for bagels and they are excellent.
However, this establishment advertises itself as a New York style deli with an extensive sandwich menu. This could only be the case if the deli were located under the bridge to Queens. My husband and I just returned from Mannie’s after ordering two Reubens — the first item on their sandwich menu and what *should* be the flagship sandwich of any NY style deli. Let me tell you first that the bread is toasted, not grilled, but this is stated on the menu and was expected. However, I became concerned when the corned beef and swiss went into the microwave to be heated (rather than melting the cheese in the toaster oven while toasting the bread). Then the sauerkraut went on top of the bottom slice of bread. I tried to stay positive. Really, I did. But I knew that bread was going to soak up some juice. When I picked up the sandwich to eat it, the bread on the bottom was soaked and fell apart. Then, when I bit into a corner of it, a large, frilly toothpick came out from inside the sandwich. Probably, it was meant to be on top of the sandwich, but it was not. The corned beef was VERY dry — as if it had been stored improperly and started to dry out around the outside edges. There were also slices that were all fat with beef on the ends — which to me means it was sliced incorrectly. The bread was thin and airy — not deli bread.
In essence, Mannie’s is a great BAGEL place. But they should really remove sandwiches from their menu if they don’t intend to do it right. Inferior ingredients, inferior preparation… We literally threw the sandwiches in the trash and then went to the store to buy ingredients and made our own Reubens at home. That is sad. Sandwiches are not science. If you don’t care about what you do at your business, don’t do it. Stick to the one thing that works and forget the rest of it.

Great bagels, huge selection. Huge selection of cream cheeses too. Owner woman is nice and welcoming.

This place is truly a hidden gem! You won’t be disappointed. THE BEST BAGELS AROUND. Perfect place for any of you early birds out there.

Everything I’ve tried is amazing. Especially LOVE the bagel sandwiches. You won’t be sorry about any of the choices you make at Mannies.
