Have been coming here for years, but never reviewed. How do you review a card store, right? Well, you start with the selection. We are partial to Hallmark products — they just seem a notch higher than anyone else, with the prices to reflect that. Some time back, they went overboard with their premium, but have since come back down, even if I shudder as I think of what might be less than 10% cost of goods! Maybe that’s why it’s not a «Yeah-​go ahead and gouge me more» 5-​star rating. Then you go to the staff — almost always polite and helpful. Store is always neat and smells good. Don’t quite understand why you still have to sign a credit card purchase when it’s not more than $ 10 or $ 20…

When I was younger, every payday I would head off to Marie’s Hallmark in 5 points, Huntsville, AL. Oh my.
She always had a cigarette lit, and spoke with classic smokers frog voice.. .I used to be really great at spreading sunshine, and wondered why I ever quit.
So off to Greg’s Hallmark I went.
Glancing at the cards, and stationary took me back in time. It did. The popularity of the Internet changed so much, and even for me, sending an ecard or email to wish someone cheer is all too familiar.
But I miss stationary. I miss reading cards until my gut hurt because I laughed so hard out loud. I miss the smell and feel of paper. Gold seals on envelopes.. .
Really great to be here. Service is friendly and helpful as at any Hallmark, and it’s a great place to think about nurturing yourself and the other people important in your life.
And to make sending that card just a little easier, books of stamps are sold here.
