Flippers Pizzeria

Do not order the breadsticks because they look and taste are horrible, and they are also very doughy. Also, the pizza is below average. Finally, the customer service is lacking because the servers are young and lazy. I am surprised that this restaurant is still in business and located in downtown Lake Mary.

Totally great area to begin with. Lots of really cute buildings to just walk around.

Food came out promptly after ordering.
Bread sticks were DELISH. Totally soaked in butter and garlic and they were worth every calorie. I’m typically not a big fan of breadsticks but these were great. We got the buffalo chicken pizza and a margarita pizza. The buffalo was very good, very sweet, but spicy and the chicken was delish along with the blue cheese. The margherita had really good tomato sauce.
Only complaint was that the bathroom could’ve been cleaner, though it wasn’t that dirty.
Also it was a tad expensive, but definitely worth it I would say.
Would recommend if you are looking for nice, almost classy pizza.

I wish I could give it zero stars this place is terrible. Took over 15 minutes to get waters the server had no idea what he was doing. He tried to make our pizzas to go while we were eating our appetizer at the table. To top it off there was a hair in our pizza and when we told him about it he said he would get a manager which never showed up and we still had to pay full price for the pizza. Avoid this place at all costs.

The service when I went in was terrible but aside from that the pizza is So-​So as far as taste and very overpriced. With all of the local pizza joints that are less than a mile from this Flippers I would suggest choosing a different spot.

We decided that we wanted to try someplace new on Friday night, so we finally gave Flippers a try. I will admit there were some favorable aspects to our experience: the friendly waiter who provided quick refills and checked on us frequently, a clean restaurant, and delicious breadsticks.
However, the bad very quickly outweighed the good. #1 — Very disappointed with the lack of childrens options, which really led into our next issue.
#2 — My daughter is very picky on pizza’s that she truly likes. Due to lack of kids variety though, she settled on a kid’s cheese pizza, since she doesn’t like Mac&Cheese. Watching her eat it, I could tell that she wasn’t enjoying the taste very much, but she was trying to eat it without raising a fuss. It became more than apparent though, when she suddenly gagged and threw up in the middle of chewing a bite. I then had to give her a bathroom sink bath to clean her up, and she then spent the rest of the night miserable.
#3 — The price is incredibly high, when you look at what you are getting. Our pizza was decent. Nothing to write home about, but, it was okay. It was listed as a Large, but the size looked more like a medium to me. You can definitely get better (and bigger) pizzas for much less from at least 2 other local places in Lake Mary.

$ 16.99 for a «large» which would be a medium, at best, anywhere else. And not that good. Very strange… Go elsewhere.

By far the best garlic bread I’ve ever had. Everything tasted so fresh. Our waitress even said pizza would take about 15 – 20 minutes because they make it right there in a fire brick oven. So many choices to put on your pizza. The only downside was that the ac was broken, but they had the doors opened which had a good breeze. Definitely will go back

We’ve gone twice, both times the service was horrible and extremely slow. The $ 3 bottled water with their label is suspect and I just didn’t like their food. We won’t be going back.

I ordered a pizza and salad for delivery. I had the Neopolitan crust large pizza half Chicken Alfredo and half Mexicana. It was delicious. When they delivered the pizza to my home, it was still hot and cheesy.
I would not get the Chicken Tossed Salad again. The chicken was very bland and not tasty.

I passed by the Lake Mary gazebo plaza many times before finally stopping in to try one of the restaurants, and this place is amazing. The sauce is incredible, the toppings amazing, and the prices fair. Unless the ownership changes hands or somebody at corporate gets kicked in the head by a mule and starts changing everything for no reason, it’s a safe bet that you will really love this place. I forgot to mention that the servers are pretty down-​to-​earth and effective here.

I’ve had a horrible experience with ordering online. I placed my order online and an hour later called to get an ETA since the food had not arrived. They had no record of my online purchase although I checked my bank account and the transaction had already been debited. The manager got on the phone and explained they had nothing to do with the website/​online ordering process and would not be able to assist me. Since this happened I have not ordered from here. I literally paid for something I never got.

Really good pizza. This is my default pizza place when I’m heading home and just too tired to cook.
Love anything here with the whole milk mozzarella!

My family has been buying pizzas here since they opened and they are our FAVORITE. We would buy at least once a week and they would have some coupons too.
Now we will not be returning as they have upped their prices ALOT and make the pizzas smaller. We are very disappointed ;(

Fresh ingredients make for a delicious and satisfying pizza experience. I much preferred this to the more rampant pizza/​pizza delivery chains

So this great Samoan guy was a love doll with great customer service apparently he’s not even samoan lol thank u for helping me have a great experience my first time there especially being African American sometimes we don’t get the best service but you changed that & I felt at home:) thank u…;) @Lee great pizza

Their hours on the door say «11 am -» and they were closed at 9 pm. Was really looking forward to trying their food.

After a great first experience at Flippers in Tampa, I had a chance to talk my Mom into checking them out. (Why yes, I DO proselytize for good restaurants. Don’t YOU?) We did the lunch special for Specialty pies which pretty much boils down to a free drink with a MyPie sized pizza. Not a bad deal. We ordered a California Classic but unlike my visit in Tampa, we went with item as described on the menu, with pesto sauce. That was a not great call as the pesto ensured that there was oil and sauce all over the plate and sogging up the crust for the leftovers we took home. The toppings were still amazing — fresh and delicious — but I will not be doing this one as described on the menu again. We also ordered the Arugula and Prosciutto pizza — though we did ask if it came with any sauce. Usually no — but we asked for red sauce. Good call on our part. This one was outstanding! The bite of the arugula, the tang of the lemon juice and the blend of crunch, salty and savory was perfection. Gorgonzola can be hit or miss (if you pile too much on, I’d prefer to miss the dish entirely) but there was just enough here to add that pungent punch without overwhelming everything else. We had about ½ of each pie leftover and ended up having a salad and pizza dinner the very same night — it was that good! Good service and a nice dining area made this a really lovely lunch with one of my very favorite ladies. Thanks, Flippers!

This place has gotten progressively worse. The only reason to come here is because you have been forced to. The food is bland and the staff although friendly, has no training (unless you count three days of following an «experienced» staffer as admitted by our waitress). I came here soon after they first opened and recall they used to charge for salad dressing for your salad! In this latest incident, an ordered item was forgotten and delivered late and another item was incomplete. When I asked to speak to the Manager (aka cook), he was «too busy to speak» with me.
You can tell this place is nothing more than an investor run business governed by a business plan waiting to execute the exit strategy.

Awesome lunch special! $ 6.99 for a two typing personal pizza (which could be shared by two people) and a soda.
The crust is crispy and the pizza is delicious.
Plus, the staff is awesome. I left my debit card here and didn’t notice for a couple of days, but they kept my card safe and no weird charges came up.
Definitely recommend this place for lunch.
