We went here to celebrate my 24th birthday. They had karaōke that night and I was super excited. The bartender was friendly. I ended up in a bad mood when I left. There was a really drunk local woman, and she showed her tail. She cursed at me because one of the workers there said something about her and she tried to accuse me of saying it. She then started play fighting with the worker and crashed into the karaōke monitor and knocked it down. Instead of kicking her out, the upset MC decided to end karaōke night. When everyone was cashing out, she started talking trash to my boyfriend. It took everything in me to ignore this sloppy drunk woman. This is a tourist area, and people are coming from all over to enjoy themselves, in situations like this, this woman should have been thrown out the bar.

This is actually in response to the person who thought the No colors sign was racist. The sign refers to gangs. No colors means, no gangs.

HORRIBLE! We only chose to eat here for one reason: we were traveling from Florida and had a dog in the car with us and this was the only restaurant in the nearby vicinity that would allow dogs. — FYI I’ve learned, thanks to fellow Unilocalers, that the«No Colors» signs refer to «no motorcycle gangs», NOT a sign of racism. My bad! How should I know? :) — Pro: The food was cheap! For 2 adults and a child for lunch, our bill was $ 19! — Con: You want cheap food, you get CHEAP food! Everything was just what it was, and nothing more. Nothing was fresh made. Everything was obviously previously frozen and then heated up or fried. They didn’t even add salt to the basic frozen French fries they served. Everything on the menu, I could have made at home and made better. — As someone else commented, the place is a dump, plain and simple. It’s a 2-story structure with outdoor bars, but don’t let that appeal trick you. — You’re better off going somewhere else nearby in Chimney Rock or Lake Lure, just continue down Memorial Hwy in either direction for a minute or two longer. LONGSTORYSHORT: Food was cheap, but as plain and untasty as can be! We’ll NEVER go back!!!

We went here for lunch after hiking at Chimney Rock. Don’t waste your time trying to find parking on the crowded stretch right by Chimney Rock, just come here for lunch. It’s a great little spot with fantastic outdoor seating and easy parking. We actually didn’t even make it inside the restaurant since it was so nice out. They have an outdoor deck upstairs and a covered bar/outdoor area downstairs as well. i ordered a half slab of ribs that came with two sides. The ribs were excellent. Their BBQ sauce was tasty. For my sides, i ordered potato salad and sweet potato fries(didn’t realize til now i ordered two potato sides), both decent enough. i wasn’t a huge fan of the honey dip for the fries, but ketchup worked. Everyone was extremely happy with their meals.
