Smooth Sailing with Nautical Watersports! This is the first time we’ve ever had to rent a boat. I grew up boating with my family and we have always owned our own boats. I would consider us experienced boaters. Being that this was our first time renting, I did a TON of research on all the local rental companies. I literally spent approx. 6 hours researching, calling companies, speaking to the staff and reading Unilocal reviews. I was extremely nervous to rent after all the horror stories and nasty Unilocal reviews. I finally decided upon renting our boat from Nautical Watersports for a few reasons; the two times I called to ask various questions, everyone I spoke to was friendly and knowledgeable. I also liked the fact that our group(ten of us in total…5 adults and 5 children) would not be on a companies scheduled itinerary for the day. What I mean by that is, all the companies I spoke to launch the boat at a reserved time with your group at the launch ramps and then you have to arrive back at a specific and prearranged time to the busy launch ramps and load the boat and follow the company to the gas station to fill the boat up. I liked the fact that the boats and wave runners are already launched and docked for easy on and easy off access. It made things really easy and enjoyable. We parked our cars close to the docks, loaded up our coolers, chairs, easy ups and kiddos and we’re off… easy peasy! We had the boat 8:30−6 for two days and at the end of the day, we’d roll up when we were ready, again not at a predetermined time, and were greeted by the dock staff, asked how our day was, unload our belongings and were off to our next adventure for the night. I originally spoke with Deda at the front desk… very friendly and helpful. While filling out paperwork for the boat I had the pleasure of working with Barbara… she was great and so professional. She remembered my last name every time I walked into the store. We had a few gentlemen assist us on the dock and I’m sorry I don’t remember everyone’s name, but Colton ROCKS! As expected he walked us around the boat and noted any ding, paint mark, dent in the prop, etc. and was so helpful. He gave us nice life vests for the kids because he felt the orange safety vests that the boats come equipped with would be uncomfortable for them all day long. He also loaned us a USB chord for our cell phones, so we could play Pandora music easily. We had a terrific trip and I have nothing but positive things to say for every staff member that our group encountered… everyone was friendly, professional, helpful and sincerely wanted us to enjoy our experience… and that we most certainly did! I will never rent from another boat rental company. My family now owns a vacation home in Havasu City, so until we purchase another family boat to enjoy, Nautical Watersports for rentals it is!!!

3rd year in a row renting a pontoon. Rented for 2 days since we had a spot in the lagoon at the nautical. We actually added a 3rd day by calling the office while on the boat! Reserving was easy and info about how to use the equipment was thorough. Thought they were upfront about pricing. The rental desk had maps and advice about where to go on the lake. Negative reviews made me nervous, but I have only had easy and friendly experiences renting here. Will definitely recommended to friends and family.

Rental paddle boards here, $ 20 for the first hour and $ 15 for each additional hour. Paddle boards were in excellent condition and staff were friendly. Wish they would have had lockers so we could lock up our stuff, but the staff was nice enough to hold our bag behind the register for us. Paddle boarded down to the bridge and back… first time and it was really fun! Afterwards we Had drinks at the turtle bar which is right next to the rental place.

These guys are the WORST! Do not rent from them unless you want to get ripped off. The manager does not know how to deal with people and is a real jerk when it comes down to it. We took a pontoon boat out on a pretty windy day, but when we got out on the water it was much more windy than on shore. We were driving about 10mph against the wind and one side of one of the canopies snapped back and broke on that side. We went back to the dock and said the wind was the cause. The manager immediately called us liars and said we had sat on it. This was after one of the lower level dock boys said the canopies break all the time. We were charged almost $ 1,000 to replace the canopy even after insisting that the break was caused by the wind. The manager kept saying how he knew we were lying and didn’t care to hear our story, claiming the that the lake witnessed ‘monsoons’ so those kind of winds wouldn’t cause that damage. Worst experience ever.

Unless you want to get ripped off DONOTRENTANYTHING from this place! We own a boat and have a house in Havasu so we are very familiar with boats and how to use them. Our boat is getting some upgrades so it’s in the shop, and we decided to rent a boat so we could enjoy the water with friends who came to visit. The jerks that work the dock said we ruined the prop, which we didn’t. If you read a few of these reviews you will see the pattern because others have experienced the same. They paint the prop and if any paint is missing they charge you for a new prop, which is a total scam! There was zero prop damage. If you rent from these scammers, make sure you bring some black spray paint with you so you can save yourself the expense of buying a new prop. We knew right away the game they were playing. After going back and forth with them over how ridiculous this was, they kept negotiating the price. They started at $ 280, went to $ 220, and then settled in at $ 110.00. We asked them to give us the prop since we just bought it for $ 110 and they refused to give it to us. Why? Because it wasn’t ruined and they have nothing to fix. This place is the biggest POS scam out there, which is a shame because they have all the right tools to leave people with a good experience so they rent again. I will make sure anyone I know who wants to rent a boat does not rent from this place.

We stayed at the nautical inn so this place was very convenient. They were very thorough and the boat we rented had no issues. I would recommend and use again for sure.

Just got back from Havasu June 28– July 2nd family trip almost ruined. We launched my buddies pontoon Friday, to my dismay he did not have the engine serviced therefore the pump impeller failed as soon as we turned it on. Our family trip was almost ruined, since we spent the day trying to find a repair shop. I had to save the trip so we decided to rent a pontoon the next day from Nautical Sports Center. The experience was very convenient, fill out paper work, go over rules, charge credit card, show up with supplies to dock and go. The rental techs were very helpful in showing us how to operate the pontoon and even offered to help load our supplies. Went out on the lake enjoyed the bigger pontoon was very roomy and had a decent stereo system with an iPod jack. I enjoyed listening to my favorite tunes throughout the day. One of the drawbacks to renting the pontoon was the rental time 9am — 6pm. Not very convenient if you party all night and show up a t 12pm the next day. Or if your out on the lake and want to drive in during sunset cant do that at 8pm. Overall I enjoyed the convenience of showing up boats ready no launching, towing, boat payment or cleaning. I even rented it for 2 more days since my buddies pontoon could only carry 10 people and our invitees invited other people. One other issue I had or I would have given 5 stars is the 2nd day we rented our boat they tried to charge me for a 30 $ rubber fender. We never used the fenders; they did however, remove the charge since I mentioned I would be renting it the next day as well. The following day I asked the technician to check all supplies thoroughly since they tried to charge the fender, He said they found it that morning in a different compartment and apologized. Im also leary about the propeller they were very adamant that I feel the propeller for smoothness and wear. No other issues though. Rental Rates 295 per day discount for multiple days 270 Plus fuel Reasonable

Had a great time renting boats and jet skis from these guys. Hastle-free. Very convenient location. Equipment was in the water fueled up waiting for my family and I. Will rent again from them. Would have been 5 stars but one of the boats had a broken lock on the the cuddy cabin/storage bay, so it flapped obnoxiously in the wind on our deck boat, which was really only a problem when leaving the doc and heading towards our destination closer down the lake near the Parker Dam and on the way back. I took great care of their gear, and will do so again when I rent next time. No extra or hidden fees, but then again I don’t trash the equipment. I’m a very conservative boater who doesn’t go on Lake Havasu during the crazy 4th of July weekend. Bring sunscreen: It was 114 degrees when we went in late July, but the water was 80+. Was great!

one of the worst experiences ever. we rented a house boat from these people, and there were a handful of hidden fees that were never mentioned when we rented the boat.(gas, propane, prop fees) Moreover, we were also charged for«damages» on the vehicle, that appeared out of nowhere, i.e. broken propellors(even though we didnt run it into anything, and also a broken toilet. We took care of the boat, but somehow these damages just appeared, and since we didnt know much about boats, we had to accept the charges. Im sure they telll everyone that they damaged the vehicle and charge them extra. Also, its been more than a month and i still have not recieved my $ 1500 deposit back from these crooks. They said it was in the mail, and I am still waiting. I would not recommend renting anything from these people.

Careful of the Nautical Sports Center and there staff, they will charge your visa card without authorization! We rented a deck boat here for 3 days on our last trip to Desert Storm Poker Run, we have rented boats in the past from other companies with out issues. This time we wanted to rent from someone closer to where we were staying but this boat was a real POS on pick up we had to spend 2 hours marking every spot on there pre inspection damage sheet after they told us the last guy had to pay for a Bimini top becouse it was returned with a broken zipper, so we were cautious and didn’t want to get blamed for anything. The thing would not shift properly into gear without dying the radio didn’t work and the bilge pump was also not operable. We were afraid to call them to come out and fix the problems becouse they said they would charge us 50.00 if they had to come out during the rental, if it was deemed possibly our fault, so we didn’t want to chance it. We returned the boat on the last day after cleaning it spotless becouse I was worried after signing there 5 page contract that my layer wasn’t present for, that they would have some bogus charge and I wanted to part on good terms, all was fine. Then when we got our visa statement the next month there was an additional charge for 125.00 from them on it when I called them they stated we had returned the boat late? and they would not take it off. This was a false statement and we had to contest it with our visa company, Update– After a few calls back and forth they did end up making the right decision and giving us a full credit on the over charge. Changed to 3 stars for making it right in the end.

We rented a deck boat from these guys last year(Spring Break 2010). We had a great day on the lake and I have no complaint about the boat itself. However, these guys will rip you off for a «damaged» prop. They repaint the props and if there is ANY paint missing they will charge you. Of the three blades on the prop our boat there was about ¼ inch of paint scraped off with absolutely no prop DAMAGE. I cannot even say for sure that it wasn’t this way when we rented since I would not even have noticed it. This was a $ 150 charge. Plus they will charge you several bucks to blow up any inflatables that you bring with you so be prepared. I would give them zero stars if I could. Total Jerks.

Rented a pontoon for half the day while in Lake Havasu this weekend. My friends and I didn’t make much effort to search for the cheapest boat rental, but this was the cheapest of our find. For 175, we rented a pontoon that was 1 – 6 pm. There was a 500 deposit that we got back for not damaging the boat and 3.48/gallon used. The guy that gave us the key for the boat was very thorough with his explanation and guidelines before we got on. As for the boat itself, it was reallllly spacious for 9 people. =) Easy to drive. It looked pretty new and not so beat up so we were happy. What we all liked the most about this boat was the MP3 player. We brought along our ipods and blasted music so we can drink and dance on the lake. There was nothing wrong with the boat itself and we all enjoyed our time on the lake on this affordable pontoon.
