Toys R Us

i tried to return something with a receipt and they make you give them your driver’s license to scan into their system. and my phone number, too. i m fearful of identity theft with them having a copy of my license. and i had a valid receipt a week after my purchase. ridiculous!

i went to Lake Grove store on 11÷16÷13 to buy an easel for my godson because it says on their website, and confirmed through the phone that this location has it.:
1) When I got there, every worker I spoke to told me the easel is either here or there, if I don’t see it, they don’t have it. None of them even thought to check their stockroom for it. — failed
2) I finally went to the customer service desk, which the line was crazy long, they looked into the computer and said they have it, just not on the floor, so they called the stockroom person to bring it out for me. We waited probably half hour for it. When they finally bring it out, it’s not the one we wanted — failed again
3) The assistant manager then ordered it online for us, and we received it in couple days. We didn’t get to open it until today because my godson’s family went on vacation. And when we finally opened it on 1÷10÷14, it’s clearly USED with marker stain, and oil on it with missing parts — failed, failed, failed
We go to toys r us to buy toys because that’s what they should be «good» at, but apparently NOT!!!
Now I need to go back to the store and hopefully be able to exchange… ugh…

Ihave mixed feelings on my first ever visit here. I let my sister talk me in shopping here on Thanksgiving night. We waited a bit not wanting to deal with the pushing and shoving associated wihen they first open. We showed up at ten, two hours after they opened. It was still a zoo, most of the doorbusters were gone upon our arrival. We did manage to ind a few things though. On the plus side is that they were well organized. There was someone outside the store still though no one had to wait to enter. they had the check out line running the perimeter of the store and bringing people to the register as needed. In spite of starting out in the North 40, the process did not take as long as it looked.
