I guess the reviews below are pretty accurate. Went to return 2 pairs of boots. 1 purchased online, 1 ordered in store by an associate. The woman«assisting» was extremely rude and told me I could not return with the proof of purchase I had as neither stated how they were purchased. I called online customer service after leaving and the lady was very helpful. She asked me to return to the store and out the associate on the phone and she could provide all the detail needed to do both returned. The associate refused to take my phone and speak to the customer service rep because they are«a store, not online» Low and behold the associate was able to do one of the returns and provide me the info that was needed for the second return. Magical. With a little bit of effort you can actually do what the customer asked. I can guarantee this single associate had made the Lake Grove store lose any of my figure business.

Their customer service is bad. I always feel like I’m being stared at or talked about at this place. I went in their today and the place was 90 degrees and I was sweating, mind you its 10 degrees outside. I said to my mom«jeez its hot in here», the lady at the counter said«pshh shes complaining about how hot it is in here meanwhile she’s wearing a scarf». The woman was referring to my mom, who never commented on how hot it was, I did. But really? Why would you make a snarky comment like that? You work in retail and deal with customers everyday, cut yourself a piece of humble pie and relax, there was no need for your comment. I was simply stating how hot it was in there to my mother, no one else. I just can’t stand it when I can hear employees talking about customers.

I went to the Aldo in the Sunrise Mall and ordered a pair of shoes to be shipped to me since they didn’t have my size in the store. I was told that they will ship to a PO Box. Come to find out, they do not ship to PO Boxes. When I finally received the shoes, I only wore them around the house for a few hours and found they were uncomfortable and I started to get blisters on my pinky toes. I tried to return them to Aldo in the Smith Haven Mall. They would not accept them as a return and claimed I wore them outside. I told them I did not wear them outside but rather I wore them in the house for a few hours. Then they asked why I waited so long to return them. I said it’s been about 3 ½ weeks and well within the timeframe to return them. I explained about the PO Box issue and I go to my PO Box about once a week. Since Aldo doesn’t deliver to PO Boxes, it went back to the UPS warehouse. I then called the UPS warehouse to ask them to send it to a physical address. Since I have an issue with the mail getting delivered to my house,(the reason I have a PO Box in the first place) I had to make arrangements for it to go to a friend’s house. I wouldn’t get to her house until that weekend. So the salesgirl was very snotty and said well we can check. I said please do. But keep in mind that the shoes did not get shipped back to Aldo, it was sitting at the UPS warehouse and I called them directly to change the address so I don’t know if Aldo has any record of that or not. After all of that, she still would not take them back. She said we can exchange them or give you store credit. I ended up exchanging it for something else only because I don’t ever intend on shopping at this place ever again nor will I shop online with them and I didn’t want to be stuck with shoes that did not fit properly. In the end, I ended paying even more for the difference of the shoes I exchanged them for. I am extremely unhappy with this place and hope everyone thinks twice before buying from this store. Not to mention, they are very overpriced. Coincidentally, while I was in the middle of exchanging my shoes for something else, another girl came in wanting to return her shoes. They wouldn’t accept her shoes back either for the same reason as mine. She said she didn’t wear hers outside either. I said to the girl, this place must be running a scam. They did the same thing to me and I will never buy anything from them again as they do not accept anything as a return. Meanwhile, they can accept it as an exchange and will probably resell it as is anyway. FYI, I had my receipt and the box the shoes came in. BEWARE: BUYFROMTHEMATYOUROWNRISK!

They have a way of getting their customers to feel horrible shopping at this place… They follow you around not to help you but watch your every movement and wait for you to leave. I bought a pair of shoes but i almost want to go back tomorrow and return it for their terrible customer service.
