This place is great! I understand people have reservations about taking their car to auto shops that they’re not aware of but let me assure you that this is a place you can trust. The guy that runs the place is really polite tells you exactly what needs to be done and fixes it in a pretty reasonable amount of time. I even bought some parts I needed I didn’t have time to install them and I took them over there and he did it right away for 20 bucks. That’s the kind of stuff that makes this community a great place to live. We need more businesses like this in our community. May many successes come your way. Great job guys!

This place is very good despite some of unhappy folks. Scott is very honest and a very nice guy. I have been in Government Service for 36 years and this shop provides (1) Great customer service (2) Honesty and integrity and most of all quality parts and top rated service.
The coupons he offers are great deals as well! I went in with my Toyota Tacoma Pre-​runner for a brake job and tranny service. Scott stated that my rotors measured below what he could turn and showed me the measurements and old rotors. He also recommended ceramic pads and good quality replacement rotors. All of that for $ 239 a terrific deal and a warranty to boot. He also dropped my trans pan, installed a new filter kit and gasket and replaced my fluid with Toyota recommended replacement fluid for $ 149. This is my new Automotive shop. And he also does motorcycles for your riders… I ride a Harley and he rides a beautiful Triumph all decked out. Scott, thanks for your honesty and quality work! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good mechanic and quality work at reasonable prices!

I started going to Scott’s a few months ago on a recommendation from my brother-​in-​law. I’ve been pleased since. I’ve compared prices, customer service, etc. Scott is, by far, the best around. I’ve had my spark plugs changed (16 of them) and an exhaust manifold changed on my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 (5.7 Hemi) over the past few months. Both experiences went smoothly. My truck runs great. He’s also worked on my wife’s car with the same awesome experience. Thanks, Scott!

Scott’s is Fantastic! I thought I needed new rear brakes as they were making a lot of noise when applied. My car has 60,000 miles and the rear’s have never been changed. He looked at the brakes, stated I had at least 50% left. Scott said they only need an adjustment and cleaning. Scott’s is very honest and extremely reasonable. I’ll be back for years to come.

I took my car to another shop to get a loose belt tightened and 5 minutes after getting it back, my break light came on and my power steering froze up. I immediately googled the nearest shop, which was Scott’s Auto shop. Frantic, I called them up and explained what was happening and they told me to bring it on in. They were super friendly and nice and immediately took a look at my car, even though it was an hour before closing. It turns out the previous place had overtightened my alternator belt, which had caused it to snap. Scott’s replaced the belt in under an hour for about $ 90, which I thought was fair especially considering how last minute it was. I was very pleased with my experience and know where I’ll take my car in the future.

Best automotive shop! I went in for an oil change and got a great deal. Fast service and friendly workers. Scott the owner helped me out and I highly
recommend this business.

The WORST ATTITUDES ever! Horrible experience way to much money! Go somewhere else. The reviews are made up by their employees

They appear to not honor coupons they publish in Pennysaver. I went for an oil change for $ 12.95 as stated in the Pennysaver coupon. The owner took one look at the coupon and said that it doesn’t apply to my car and that the price would be $ 25.00. Only because they could take it right then with no wait — I paid it and got out of there within 35 minutes. The chairs in the waiting area were dirty. During my wait, a young woman came in with the same coupon for her chevy and she was told the same thing. I suspect that they don’t honor any of the coupons — they just use them to get you in there. Ironically, they advertise as being «honest» with «integrity.» Will only go back after going to 3 other places for quotes for repair or if I can’t find a place to do an oil change for less than $ 25.00. I don’t drive my car much at all, but they told me I need another oil change in 3 months. Doubt it.

I love this place! The employees are always friendly and they are completely honest with the services that are needed. They take care of their customers. Not like dealerships who try to sell you unnecessary items. It’s been a while since iv been here. I went to nissan for a service and they told me they couldn’t help me because I was 900 miles over my warranty and since I hadn’t gotten my oil changed there they couldn’t help me. So log story short it’s been a while since iv been to Scott’s, but this last trip absolutely reminded me why me, my mom, dad and two sisters always trust our cars here.

Was pleased with my first time experience here a few weeks ago. I only came to get a oil change for my 2001 Cadillac Catera. It turns out my fuel filter and serpentine belt were never changed since I purchased the car back in Fall 2001 and are in dire need of a replacement. Now my car model is not easy since some of the parts can be a pain to replace, that I learned over time. So I was worried about cost since I pretty much get charged $ 200 – 400 for most replacement work, mostly due to labor costs.
But the owner gave me a great deal and the entire work only cost me $ 180. $ 180 vs like $ 200+ that usually charge me at most auto shops due to my complex Cadillac model… that’s a no brainier right there.
So instead of waiting for a half hour work, I stayed waiting for around 2 hours for extra work (mostly due to my car being stubborn replacing that belt), but that’s about average for any work on my model type. But as they finished and were pulling the vehicle out, oil was starting to leak. It turns out the new fuel filter was defective and was allowing oil to leak out. So they had to call up and get delivered a new replacement part. But they didn’t just ordered it and tell me come back to pick up my car (like most places). They ordered the part as a rush delivery — ASAP, and the delivery arrived within 10 minutes. They added the replacement part and most importantly, never charged me for that extra labor.
Now since it was now going to 3 hours, the owner was kind enough to give me his card and offer me a free oil change on my next visit, due to me waiting patiently for so long. He didn’t have to do that since I understand a defective part is beyond anyone’s control — sh*t happens! But it was nice to actually meet a mechanic/​owner going above and beyond to make sure I walk out with a smile when the service was taking longer as needed.
And another thing, they always kept me updated on the progress and let me know where they’re at and provide an estimate time. The owner actually showed me my old parts and it was a good educational walk-​through, something previous mechanics I went to never do, nor provide me with that extra detail checklist for parts that should be replace every # amount of miles.
I’ll definitely be back!

This is an update to my review on 2÷22÷14 — car is still purring like a kitten… thank you Horatio!!!

Went here about 8 months ago to get my brakes done. Car started shaking really bad almost immediately after as soon as I touched the brakes. Took my car to the shop next door to them and it turns out they put the hardware on BACKWARDS! I should make them pay for this. I paid pretty good money to have them fix my car and it sucks being a girl and not knowing what to look for. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends. If you want good service. You should walk 20 feet to the next shop over.

I went to Scotts solely based on the overwhelmingly positive Unilocal reviews. The service was fine, I’m very satisfied with what they provided, but I’m mainly writing this review to share my disappointment at discovering the hard way that their hours listed on their website are incorrect. The website says they’re open til 4pm on Saturday, but I arrived at 3:30 and discovered they were closed (the door now says «3pm»). Just a friendly heads up so hopefully none of you will be caught off guard like me.

Been coming here for about 6 years now. Would highly recommend. Recommended them to my parents who have now also been loyal customers for years. Scott and Horacio are very honest. Sometimes when I bring my car in for routine oil changes, I’ll suggest to them to check on something like brakes or filters (but I’m a nurse, what do I know about mechanics?) and I will drop my car off, anticipating when I get back a huge bill for hundreds of dollars will be waiting for me. Most times they have said «Nope, all you needed was your oil changed». Love that they are honest, not trying to make a quick buck. I purchased my car new back in 2007 and have only been to Scott’s for maintenance. 110,000 miles later, have never had a single problem, expect needing a new battery. Scott’s prices are very reasonable and he discounts. I even would drive from Garden Grove for oil changes and checks even though there were probably a million more places closer to go to. Don’t think twice about seeing Scott!

Had break work done there, THEY PUT THE WRONG BRAKE PADS ON MY CAR and ruined the rotors. Scott’s right hand man was EXTREMELY RUDE to me on the phone denying it!
I came down, spoke to Scott, had to convince him to call Toyota and verify that HE DID PUT THE WRONG BRAKES ON MY CAR. He was a bit pissy with me still as he conceded & had to replace my brakes & rotors.
I do leave positive reviews for businesses that deserve it & don’t like writing negative reviews, but I feel it’s everyone’s duty to look out for & warn others of bad mechanics!

We’ve been going to Scott for more than 8 years now. Honest and great work. Anytime we’ve had any issue after a repair they’ve addressed it immediately. I once had all the belts and hoses replaced at once on my Civic. 6 months later one of the belts failed and Scott replaced under his 12 month warranty at no cost. He keeps records on everything done so he will tell you if something is under warranty.
I trust Scott and Horatio with all our vehicles and send all my friends to them.

Not sure what happened here. Other reviews are glowing but I can tell you i will never take my car back here. I brought them a coupon for a brake job. After I showed up, the guy told me the price was different since my car is an SUV. It was almost a hundred dollars more, but i needed the brake job and against my better judgement, i left the car there. When I picked up the car, i had some bad problems braking. I took it to another mechanic who told me that my rotors were not resurfaced (i paid for this at Scott’s). He charged me to resurface them and the problem immediately went away. I would not recommend this shop to anybody. I don’t get ripped off too often since i’m a wary consumer, but they got me once. Never again.

Very honest guys! Amazing work! Amazing price! I highly recommend going here. Every other place I have been to has tried to up-​sell and say its something different then what was really wrong (each place gave me a completely different answer, Scott’s said they were up-​selling). I love these guys!

I have been back numerous times and had terrific results. Horacio diagnosed a difficult noise after 3 other shops failed. Horacio also told me I needed a new battery when others were trying to sell me alternators. Love these guys.

These guys are honest and quick. I had a brake light on in my toyota camry for a long time. While other mechanics suggested that I would first need to change brake pads. here they suggested me that there is something fixed in the brake cylinder and it needs to be taken out a brake flush job needs to be done. Cost 40 $. Cost to replace brake pads is much more than that.
I would reccomend them for Car servicing.
