Mountain Mike’s Pizza

For CHRIST’s SAKE, order no mustard on your baked sub!!! Ugh! There was so much mustard on the salami and ham, whatever sub that I could NOT get past one bite. Sorry MM.

When we walked in, we were relieved to see the place was almost empty — meaning, we were happy that it wasn’t over crowded or noisy in there. After about 30 minutes of not receiving our food and noticing a person who came in way after us got their pizza already, we decided to say something. Their excuse to us was that when we walked in, they were extremely busy and in the middle of a rush. But they were no longer in a rush when people who came in after us, got their food before us… RIGHT
This place is run by teenagers with no adult management overseeing their operations. I have no patience for people who can’t own up to their mistakes. I will not be back.

We have been talking about stopping at a mountain mikes pizza for years and finally did. The pizza was really fresh and tasted good. It was not to greasy and cooked perfect. The girl that took out order was very nice and very helpful. Thanks mountain mikes !!!

THE BEST GLUTEN FREE PIZZA EVER!!! Being gluten free for 3 years now, you have to try out lots of things to find something close to what you used to enjoy and Mountain Mikes gluten free pepperoni pizza is as close as it gets. I crave this place and am so grateful they offer and make such a great pizza. It’s not soggy, doesn’t taste like cardboard, and has just the right amount of cheese. I would highly recommend this place. Don’t be fooled by the casual, no fancy looks inside. Even their regular pizza is excellent I’m told by my daughter who considers herself a pizza expert!

I’ve been coming for lunch a little more often now. The pizza here is decent however, they are very slow to bring out pizza. My favorite is the pepperoni pizza here, but for some reason they never have enough. They make all kinds of different pizza. I’ve even come here and not seen a pepperoni pizza the entire time.

Please be careful when eating here. I went to eat with a group of friends and we ordered 3 pizzas for 5 people. A few hours later I could not stand my stomach pain! I was in and out of the bathroom. I did not say anything to my friends out of embarrassment. Finally two of my friends who are a couple told me that they were having the same symptoms! I asked my other friend and he ended up having diarrhea! 4 out of 5 people had diarrhea! I hope the health department comes down on this place. I have no idea what they’re are doing back there but something is not right. First and last time I ever come to a mountain mikes. Rubinos on Marguerite and Santa Margarita is where I’m staying when I want some fresh pizza.

Seriously the pepperoni is the best on planet earth!!! For a combo the McKinley is great also

I love the day time all you can eat pizza here. Been visiting for a couple years now and it never disappoints. Comes out to about 8 or 9 dollars for all you can eat pizza and salad.

this place has the best Pizza in Orange county… PERIOD. My wife and I always eat here when we’re in town.

After being long time customers of this restaurant my family won’t be back. We usually visit during the lunch special hours. A member of my family tends eat a couple pieces of pizza and then has a couple pieces of pepperoni and scrapes off the toppings and eats the toppings alone due to him being diabetic the tons of carbs arent good for him. The owner yelled at him and told next time you have to purchase whole pizza ONLY $ 15 for cheese! Needless to say we won’t be back. Apparently loyalty counts for nothing!

Amazing pizza. This guys are awesome. They can make half and half pizza of any kind. No matter if it has different sauces or it’s a large pizza or a small. I bet you will exactly get what you want. Amazing experience. Thumbs up for mountain mikes (lake forest)

Trying to call and order pizza is the hardest thing. They don’t explain anything and make it way more complicated then it needs to be. I asked if there was any specials today. And their reply was yes we have three dollar mountain man two dollar mountain men and one dollar mountain man. As if I was supposed understood what any of that meant. And then after five minutes of talking to her I got her to say yes it’s a three dollars off a large two dollars off a small and one dollar off a medium. And then I tried to order a large pizza half and half. But of course that’s not possible. She keeps asking me if I want any of these specific toppings. Lady it’s simple… Half cheese pizza, half pepperoni. Why are you asking me if I want ranch chicken on anything. I asked for a HALF CHEESE PIZZA! Half pepperoni. THATS IT!!!

I came in to partake of the ayce pizza and salad bar and was left very disappointed.
There was a lot of old and less than fresh items at the salad bar. The pizza didn’t blow me away. Very mediocre. I ended up getting the worst stomach ache on the way home.
The girl behind the register was very friendly and helpful. It got really awkward when we were walking away from the counter because the owner came out and started berating the girl in front of everyone. It was loud enough to hear that he was accusing her of doing something wrong. It was pretty sad. It was such an uncomfortable situation and definitely not something customers should be exposed to. I don’t see myself ever coming back.

I’ve done their lunch buffet a few times and that was great. First time doing the dinner but it’s just as awesome! Bob who I believe is the one who runs this franchise is such an awesome person! He loves kids and my little one loves to say hi to him when we go. He knows how to run the place unlike the one in Laguna Hills. Great pizza and yummy salad.

I like to come here for lunch sometimes with my coworker. Their all you can eat lunch includes pizza, salad bar, and a drink for only $ 7.99. They constantly bring out fresh pizza to serve the lunch crowd, and not just the generic pepperoni and sausage pizzas. They will bring out their specialty pizzas like buffalo chicken, bbq chicken, and much more. Slices are not that big so you get the chance to try all the different selections if you like. I especially like the cheesy bread that they have. It’s very buttery.

Ordered a BBQ chicken pizza online and picked up in store. Delicious! I can’t believe we never knew about this place. Parking is limited and there are two doors to access the place. Order the dessert pizza! You won’t regret it.

This is one of my favorite pizza chains. They make delicious pizza. But the cost is ridiculous and the size of the pizza is small.
I don’t know how large their pizza is versus others, but I ordered a large and a medium and it looks like a small and a medium. And I paid $ 39. Seriously. Maybe ill check out their buffet instead.

As members of our party only come here for the all-​you-​can-​eat during 11 to 2, the numerical rating is based solely on that, and I might adjust the numerical rating based on the other services we try at this location. But it is slightly opinionated since I really like pizza buffets.
For $ 6.99, which is the same price (or lower, depending on the mailing list’s coupons) as at Souplantation with a coupon, one can get all-​you-​can-​eat pizza and salad. Though the salad isn’t as fresh or has as big a selection as Souplantation, it still has the basics of what one needs to make a decently healthy salad. They usually have about 8 savory pizzas (not necessarily with the entire pizza having the same flavor) at the same time on the heat table, with breadsticks and the sweet pizza as well. During not-​busy hours there wasn’t a lot of pizza there, but I just ate salad until they refilled it. :9
In the back of the store, there are a few games that one can play. They have Time Crisis 3, but the light guns aren’t those Namco ones with the simulated recoil. (Oddly enough, player 1 is on the right.) The games are token-​operated as opposed to quarter-​operated, and each token is $ 0.25.
What I don’t like about the buffet (although it can be said for all pizza buffets) is that the flavors I prefer will only come around after all the existing pizza has been devoured and there aren’t a lot of customers here to cycle the pizza more during lunchtime. At least it makes parking easy here unlike other places that I have to downrate due to parking situations.

I don’t eat pizza much, but when I give in, I want it to be great pizza. This was the 2^nd time we ordered the Mt. Vegimore and when I opened the box, I nearly cried… from HAPPINESS! It was perfection. It arrived nearly 10 minutes earlier than the quoted time so I had concerns about it being fully cooked (a problem repeatedly experienced with another chain, who shall remain nameless — it starts with a D, ends in an S and has a OMINO in the middle) but we were delighted to find this pizza baked perfectly.
I’m really sorry to not have a better picture… when the box was opened I felt threatened by my family and an instant assessment of the situation made me decide that I had better get a couple of slices immediately if I wanted any.
Mountain Mikes Mt. Vegimore did not disappoint.
A brief message for Mountain Mikes: I would order more of your pizza if you offered Daiya cheese and Tofurky sausage; I follow a vegan diet about 99.9% of the time, so this is a rare treat for me.
