My husband Brian and I retained Brad this past year to update our existing trust and develop a special needs trust for our youngest son Steven. We had some angst in the beginning of the process, especially discussing everything that pertained to the special needs trust. Steven is disabled and we learned early on that we needed to be his advocates to help him through his journey. My spouse and I retained Brad for two very important tasks — creating our family trust and handling the probate after the untimely death of my sister who died without a will. I met Mr. Erdosi over five years ago at a school business convention where he was speaking on living trusts and wills and gave such an informative and interesting session that I was truly impressed. Erdosi with great trepidation of the probate process and lots of questions. After an hour I had an outline of the probate process and what was expected of me as Administrator. Brad understood the law and the courts and handled that part of the process. I never had to deal directly with the court or appear in court.
I found that my son had assets, lots of debt, unpaid taxes, real property, leased property, vehicles, insurance, utilities, bank accounts, credit cards, and everything else a person would normally have. However there were no records of any contracts, bills or payments. Brad told me where to start looking to get a picture of my son’s finances and then how to proceed.
During the process, all my questions were answered promptly and in a way that I could understand and use. I always felt that he was working in my best interest. Brad also used the probate process to get fair and favorable settlement of my son’s debts.
Probate is a difficult process. There is a lot to do and it must be done properly. Brad gave me the advice to do what was needed and made sure I did it properly and on time.
