Allen and I had the empanadas which though they tasted good were way too small(I had been to The Empanada Man in Lake Forest the Friday before and the portion size was substantially bigger for less money). The seafood paella I didn’t like and normally Paella is amazing. The service was ok but overall I wouldn’t come back.

I’m not familiar with this area, after work meeting I was looking for food here around and I noticed this peruvian restaurant. On Unilocal it has a good rating so I decided to give it a try ordering lunch special«Arroz con pollo». This is a cilantro stewed chicken that just melt in your mouth! It comes with cilantro rice with fava beans and peas. Lime marinated onion, all served in a very cute 2 handles pan on a ceramic traditional peruvian plate. And this was a $ 8.95 special! That includes complimentary bread, this is a very good deal. To find a parking spot is hard. Applause!

As a frequent of the Rockfield plaza joint for some Asian food here, I stumbled upon this peruvian restaurant. Curiosity leads me here and decided to give it a try. I really have a gut feeling that their roasted chicken is good. Prior to it, I researched about the peruvian cuisine. The origins and their specialty. They have this dish called Pollo a la Brasa and realized that this it is what they are featuring on their menu. I ordered it as take out dinner on my way to work. The inka roasted chicken combo together with some salad and rice. Very delicious and flavorful. The spiciness and infusion of the flavors compliment the bird. For the price of $ 14(half chicken +rice + salad) and a complimentary bread, this is a very good deal. Also, dont forget the spicy sauce. Yum

I really love this place! I come here often and have been fairly adventurous with eating different things on their menu. I have never had a bad dish or a mediocre one. And the green sauce, ugghhh I am in love with it. I usually slather it on everything! The service is great as well very friendly and welcoming. My recommendation is their rotisserie chicken, I know what you’re thinking chicken? How boring. but I kid you not it is some of the best chicken I have ever had!

Food and portions were okay. The beef was a little tough and chewy and service was really slow during lunch hour. Parking in this area is horrible, so I suggest getting there early or after the lunch rush.

My co-worker frequents this place. Thus week we are taking 30 minute lunches so I decided to get a takeout order of the lamb stew, since my co-worker was also getting takeout from there. The good news is the lamb stew is excellent. Unique flavor with the onion and cilantro sauce. My only problem is the portion. I received 3 pieces of lamb, but 2 of the pieces were 90% bone(a joint and a leg bone). To their credit they offered an extra piece of meat on my next visit, but that doesn’t really help me now and it’s not worth a dedicated trip. I guess my problem is consistency. The lady on the phone said they compensate for bony pieces by giving more. If that is the case then the regular portion is absurdly small for the $ 15 price tag. If, on the other hand, this was merely oversight, then we should be paying more attention to portions, especially on a takeout order when it’s not easy to correct a mistake. Maybe I’ll try them again but I’d REALLY have to be craving it.

This was my first time having Peruvian food. And I am in love. The aji sauce was super good, have never tasted anything like it. My friends and I walked away loving everything we ordered.

If my life had one purpose, I would be okay with seeking out America’s best Peruvian restaurants. I’ve been to almost every«worthy» or «popular» Peruvian restaurant in LA County. Call it a hobby. This place was different. This place felt more indigenous. Like I was in a my grandma house in Arequipa, Peru. It was homey and warm. The staff was family and the food was fresh. I really enjoyed my visit here. I went with my dad and he ordered us a couple dishes from northern Peru. I had never had them before but they were incredible. This is authentic Peruvian food. Not Japanese/Peruvian or Chinese/Peruvian or any of that fusion crap. This is real Peru.

Parking in this plaza is THEWORST since construction started… hopefully it will improve after they are finished… I came here for lunch yesterday and was impressed. It was my first time trying peruvian food. This place was very busy during lunch. They give you a free bread basket and I recommend the bread with the green aji sauce on the table. It is creamy and spicy! It was so delicoius I could have eaten the whole basket by myself… but I was dining with a friend so I had to control myself. Chicken Saltado — Very good! The chicken was a little dry but it was very flavorful. I usually am not a big fan of red onions, but I could not stop eating everything on my plate! I would try to subsitute the rice for veggies next time though… since there fries in the chicken saltado. There is an option to substitute green beans or broccoli for the fries… but I love fries. I can do without rice. My friend had the Chicken Milanesa, it was also very good! It comes with deep fried banana. It was a good combination. This place is a little pricy though, but I would definitely come again to try different dishes.

I’ve been frequenting this location for 10+ years. I only buy one dish, Lomo Saltado beef. I love it. I crave it. The green sauce served at the table with bread is a flavor I can’t find anywhere else. These two things keep me coming back, typically 1x each month. The issues I’ve found have been inconsistent portions, and inconsistent flavors. The green sauce is on point, every time, no matter what. But the heat level can fluctuate. The Lomo Saltado can be generously heaped, or stingily spread over the same white plate. White rice is always there, and seems about the same every time. I’ve also tried other dishes, such as ceviche, and roasted chicken, but wasn’t impressed enough to finish either meal. Prices are slightly high for what you get, especially on the days they skimp on the portions. The service is usually smiley, and efficient. You won’t be wowed by Inka Grill, but you’ll find a few gems worth returning for.

Came here on a last minute back-and-forth debate of «what do you want to eat? I don’t know, what do you want to eat… Just pick something… Fine! How about Inka Grill. Oh that actually sounds really good!» LoL This place always has some delicious food. Moderately clean environment. With construction going on, parking is a little retarded. The servers are friendly. Overall it’s always a good option to try something else.

Wait a minute… over 200 reviews, but when I did a «date sort — newest first»… I only see 14 reviews since the beginning of the year? I expected more. But this place seems to have had a checkered past… what with some 1 and 2 star opinions. So either they’ve lost their«luster»… or all the construction has stunted their numbers.(?) And recent reviews did include some«downer comments.» This visit either we dodged the«food bullet»… or those other reviewers came on a bad day?! My wife and I were coming back from W.L.A. and a consulate visit to get our doc’s in order for an upcoming trip. Getting off the 5 South at Lake Forest, driving East to Rockfield, we almost missed the restaurant shortly after turning left. It was because they’re remodeling the entire center. There’s chain link«everywhere!» We originally were thinking Peppino’s Italian, but once we parked and saw Inka Grill, we moved down a couple doors to go Peruvian. We didn’t know Diho-Siam had a location there too?! I had the Seafood Saltado and my wife had the Veggie Saltado. Both were very good. We also ordered a side of fried Manioc… like potato, only different.(just kidding) My entrée was loaded with protein, and while not exceptional, it hit the spot and satisfied my urge for an Italian Seafood Pasta. I’ve had incredible Italian Seafood Pastas, so to get a 5-star from me, a restaurant would have to be equally great. Inka Grill was«good to very good.» Both entrée late lunches came to about $ 30 with tax. Our servers, two young ladies, both attended to our table. And yes, there’s the French roll bread with the Peruvian green salsa… their version of your basic«salsa and chips.» There was a «Help Wanted» sign in the window, so I’ll guess that any service issues, which we didn’t have, might relate to lack of trained staff. Just guessing… We were served around 2pm, it was about 20% occupied, and we barely waited ten minutes from ordering to being served. All in all, I’ve added it to our«safe list» of… «We haven’t been to XXXXXXXX in awhile, what do you say we drive THERE!»

This is the spot. Been all around OC and this is the best Peruvian spot I have found. The Pollo Saltado is by far the best flavored dish around. They recently changed the dish from full chunks of Tomatoes To diced tomatoes which is awesome and much better then before. The Chicken is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Paired with the white rice and fries it’s a filling dish. If you enjoy a little bit of spice I highly recommend the Gringo Sauce with bread. I will typically get 2 orders of bread it’s just that good. They have 2 smooth tasting beers that pair nicely with this type of food. I prefer the Cusqueña when they have it in otherwise the Cristal is also quite nice. I Wish I could tell you more items but the Saltado is the main reason we stop in here. It’s a must when I am in the South OC.

We met my brother and his girlfriend here for dinner last night. They said they have been trying many different Peruvian places and so far this is their favorite. The restaurant is pretty small and the booths are tiny. We opted to sit at a table, also pretty cramped. The tables were really sticky, which I think had to do more with the old lacquer on them than the level of cleanliness. Time for some new tables! As soon as we were seated we were given bread and butter. The bread tasted really fresh, and I skipped the butter and opted to dip it in Aji sauce. Soooo good. The Aji was spicy, but super flavorful. I really liked that sauce! My brother and I both ordered a Peruvian Margarita, which was MASSIVE! One drink is good for your whole meal. It was made with Peruvian tequila, Pisco, which the waitress said is made from grapes instead of agave. It was very tasty, sweet and sour, and very frothy. For dinner I had the Spaghetti Saltado with beef. BF got the Lomo Saltado with beef. I liked my spaghetti, but thought his Lomo had more flavor. I ended up putting Aji all over my food. It was good, but I would probably get the Lomo over the Spaghetti if I came back. My brother’s girlfriend had their Picantes with chicken, which was like a chicken stew, served with rice. I really enjoyed her dish. She said it is her favorite and it’s all she ever orders there. My brother had some sort of chicken and carrot dish, which I didn’t try, but he liked, as did his girlfriend. Service was good, our main waitress was really sweet and friendly, the other waitress there seemed sort of rude, but luckily we didn’t deal with her much. I ended up taking about half of my food home. Late last night I got hungry so I ate the remainder of my Spaghetti Saltado cold, and I actually thought it was better cold than it was when it was served hot to me hours before. Maybe the flavors develop the longer they sit. So, I liked this place, and I would definitely meet my brother here again if he ever wants to go out to dinner near his house again.
