I rehabilitate canines when vets have given up.. Without victor and nachos help it would be even more changing. They also have a full service, mexican market and deli, their tacos are yum., stop in. You’ll be surprised. Toni

This place is killer. This place is authentic with fresh produce, meats and salsa’s. They carry a big bag of chips they sell for $ 1.99 that are the best I’ve ever tasted. I had the Salvadorian Chorizo from the meat case as was blown away. You can order hot food to go. Their full sized top notch tacos are only $ 1.29 each all day everyday. On Wednesday, they have $.99 chicken or cheese enchiladas that are muy bueno.

You’ve gotta check this market… Fresh salsas and guacamole, great selection of meats and produce. Authentic Mexican style platters ready to take home. Sales and low low prices– Recent change of ownership have REALLY turned this place around on cleanliness, customer service, and most of all, quality of the food. A total makeover! A+

I needed some tomatillos and other Mexican groceries so came in here to see if I could find some. The produce was pretty old, so I passed. I found a packet of epazote(SCORE!) so I grabbed it. It’s been hard to find this even at Mexican grocery stores. Around the meat section it certainly didn’t smell good, however, the selection of meat was very very fresh compared to the store across the street where all the meat looked old. They have Mexican baked goods too but why would you buy it from a grocery store when there’s a Mexican bakery across the street where they make it fresh? Still, reasonable prices if you can’t get to a ‘real’ Mexican grocery store.

The only Mexican market in the area, Hierro offers a pretty good selection of delicious ethnic foods. We bought some Mexican Coca-Cola [$ 1.49](which my boyfriend took a drink of and said, «It tastes like Coke in Mexico”– uh, duh…), a Guayaba Jarrito [$ 0.99], some Chile & Lime Chips [$ 1.99], 2 avocados [$ 0.99/each](which felt ripe, but weren’t), some Cotija Cheese [$ 4.19], and four different pandulces [4/$ 1.00]. Some downsides: The refrigerated section with the cheeses and drinks were covered in dead flies. The cabinet with pandulce also had some flies buzzing around, and frankly the whole store had flies buzzing around. The whole place smelled like an old mop(a mix of wet dirt and mildew). Also, no air conditioning, so the meat market/carniceria area of the market just has fans blowing all over it. Didn’t check if anything was on a lot of ice, or what– wasn’t gonna buy meat here! My boyfriend assured me that this is what all markets are like in Mexico(except with dirt outside instead of pavement), and if that’s the case, all I can say is «God Bless America.» I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you’re really craving ethnic food and have NOMONEY for gas or NOTIME to drive to Santa Ana or anywhere else. Seriously, it smells rank. But mm… pandulce.
