Was very excited to see the giant «SMOG $ 19.95» sign above the store. After waiting a half-​hour for the service I was charged $ 70. The sign says «off» in small letters under the giant promotion. I will NEVER go here again!

Pains me to give this place one star. Poor customer service. Goal is to take advantage of you, especially if you are a female. Willing to play dumb for a $ 19.95 coupon. Stated would honor coupon displayed on banner in front of shop, prior to service. After service was performed, refused. Would not recommend.

My family and I have been going to Golden Wrench for YEARS!!! We love Ron and think he is the most honest, trustworthy mechanic we’ve ever met! I was so sad to leave him (and have to find another mechanic, who I trusted half as much) when I moved to AZ! Go see them, you won’t regret it!

I’ve been reading some of the negative reviews and find them hard to believe! I’ve been a customer of Ron’s for many years and I’ve NEVER had a bad experience. In fact, Ron and his associates have, always, been honest and respectful and do meticulous work in a timely manner. As a woman, I’ve been swindled and/​or manipulated by other mechanics. When I was referred to The Golden Wrench, I was surprised to find someone in whom I could trust… Ron’s shop is top-​notch!

I had my car smogged at this location after a terrible experience at two other automotive shops the previous year. They did a great job at a reasonable price. I came back two weeks later and had my wife’s car done as well. I am normally skeptical of auto repair shops but while I was waiting with my kids and listening to how the owner was dealing with a customer that was having a fairly major repair done, this will be where I take my cars for as long as I live in this area.

These mechanics totally try and take advantage of you! I went in for a smog check, it didn’t pass, so I picked up some fuel injection cleaner and put it in my tank… They said they would take $ 10 off my a smog retest! Total rip off since most other mechanics do retests for FREE! Plus, he was really rude to me and practically yelled and bullied me over the phone, when I told him I put «Guaranteed to pass» fuel injection cleaner in my car, he said that «it wouldn’t work». Needless to say I took my car to another mechanic and IT DID PASS!
