The food is great and it has a unique atmosphere. It can feel a little cramped at times though during busy hours. On the bright side, I’ve never had to wait really long for seats and parking has never been a problem. In terms of food I usually stick to ordering their ultimate skillet and sub in avocado instead of ham and it comes with an english muffin and jelly. Sooo good. I personally think that wildberry has better breakfast but some of my friends prefer egg harbor over wildberry. Either way, egg harbor is high up there on my list of top breakfast spots in the area. Try both spots and let me know which one y’all prefer!

The strawberry orange juice is phenomenal! Omelettes, skillets, French toast I’m pretty sure whatever you get here will be delicious. Very busy, 10 minute wait was quick and you can have free coffee while you wait. A hole in the wall worth checking out

I visited this place when I flew into Chicago for my son’s graduation from boot camp in Great Lakes. I found it on Unilocal which helped tremendously. EXCELLENT breakfast! The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I ordered the Georgia cheese grits & eggs and substituted toast for the biscuits. I was hesitant, being from Louisiana originally, most places outside the south don’t usually get grits right. They did! And their homemade jam was to DIE for! And then I find out that the place is actually a chain! I was totally shocked as the quaint, homey feel was almost like a Mom & Pop place. Wish they had them in SoCal.

Quinoa Breakfast Bowl. I have nothing else to say other than take the yogurt and honey, dump them both in the bow and fully mix. This is a healthy power breakfast just perfect prior to a workout.

Just had breakfast at the restaurant. For a chain they do it well. Our food was fast, reasonable, and average.
I would return but it is good not great. If you are hungry and in a hurry here is the place.
Service was fine with a few tiny errors. One example, bringing English muffins but no butter. They did remember the jam.
The waitress who took our order never showed up again. We had three separate people managing the table which seemed to not create a sense of ownership that ensured everything went right.
So I say acceptable and average.

3 stars, just because I am in a good mood. I should put just 2 stars.
I had the Barrington Benedicts, and what a disappointment !!!
Served with very few potatoes on the side !!
And then, all the ingredient for that meal are come from Jewel Osco.
Thick fake Canadian bacon, not tasty.
Cheap English muffin, too dry.
Even the Benedict sauce come from a big jar.
At least the coffee from Intelligencia was good.
Better to go another place if you have a better choice. But I don’t think so.

I love this Egg Harbor! If u are equidistant between the Lincolnshire and Lake Forest — choose Lake Forest every time. It is easier to get in and the food and atmosphere are the same. In the fall — pumpkin soup is fantastic. It is not sweet and not exactly what u would think when someone says pumpkin soup. But it is worth getting as often as possible when in the fall. Last Fall, they had a cranberry turkey sandwich which was fantabulous. I love the skillets and the omelettes. But when I eat them — I don’t eat another meal for the rest of the day as they are so filling. I can get takeout in 10 – 15 minutes every time.

We order carry out frequently. Egg Harbor has a big menu with several lunch and breakfast options. The front of the house is friendly and inviting. Their food is inconsistent. Half the time it is delicious. Half the time the bacon is so under cooked that it is inedible until we finish cooking it in the microwave. When a side of bacon costs $ 4.99 I feel like the kitchen should be able to cook it perfectly every single time.

Great food and atmosphere. Very military friendly as well. When in uniform, it seems the tab is always paid for by someone when you go up to the register.

We stopped here on our way back home, and this place was just charming! The décor is very homey with a more rustic look to it. The coffee comes in cute little mugs and the menu is extensive. The food is fresh, and they accommodate substitutions without any hassle. My friend can’t have gluten and they had a LARGE gluten free menu too! She was never able to have a cinnamon roll till now, and said it was fantastic. They do GF banana bread as well. The most surprising thing was that my breakfast and hers was the same amount! They don’t charge an arm and leg for gluten free options which is amazing.
All in all, the food is great and so is the service. I didn’t know that this was a chain, and I usually try avoiding those when I travel. However, this is a chain breakfast place that I will definitely keep coming back to.

Came for lunch based on my friends reviews. Friendly greeting and nice service. The water tasted absolutely awful so I ordered coffee and the coffee was horrible too probably because they use that same water. Kinda obvious if you’re using intelligista coffee you should think about what water you put in it ;)
I got a small cup of chili, loved it. It was spicy without adding anything so if you don’t like spicy don’t get it… I like spicy so it was perfect.
Then had the power veggie omelet it was also very good. So I would say everything here all in all the food was good service was decent price were semi nuts. Probably would stick to the wild berry place in the future.

I have been coming to Egg Harbor for the last 15 years and grown up eating there. I can thus attest it is good for kids, teenagers, and adults! We always go as a family and this place holds a special place in my heart.
In an nutshell, Egg Harbor has:
1. delicious food
2. a variety of great savory/sweet/healthy choices
3. value for your money
4. massive portions :)
5. great service
6. free mints at the end!
there is a reason why there is always a wait for this place on weekend mornings. It is simply the best.

Simply l can’t argue with the combination of good food, great service, and really good prices!
I had like three waiters taking care of me and they did a perfect job! The girl who is training looks like she could’ve been here for years, her name is Carla!
I think they have some of the best servers and the North Shore!
Every time I come here and gets better!

Cute little breakfast place to bring the family. I ordered an egg white omelet
and had to pay a up charge cause of the egg shortage. The coffee was good and loved the mugs they give you to drink out of. Will be back since this place seems to offer health breakfast.
