Dope. Always come here and they have promos to give free hours. Also 5 for 5 if you come before 1(:

One of my favorite gaming café’s of all time. The staff is what you expect from a bunch of dedicated and hard-working video game afficionados. While this is by far my favorite gaming café there are some things to know. First: do not in any way feel bad about asking/shouting for help if something goes wrong with your comp. With a bunch of competitive gamers there is nothing to be shy about. Also, the previous reviews regarding cleanliness are false. Either that or they have been cleaned up quite abit in the past year or two.

I was in the competitive gaming scene in High School for DoD(not Source) and WoW Arena tournaments through Test Server. I’ve gone to multiple Gaming Café’s/Centers for competitions or hosted tournaments. By far this place is one of the biggest and well maintained, I’ve ever seen. Been going here lately with some friends around the Lake Forest area for League of Legends and random gaming. I’m not a fan of the players/kids that go to Howie’s or other smaller gaming centers in Orange County. The smaller ones tend to try and keep as much customers as possible even if they look gangster or are under the influence, this place has no tolerance for that, which is nice. Their prices are by far the best offering 5 $ for 5 hours and 15hours for 20 $‘s, you don’t see those kind of offers anywhere else, regular hour is still only 2.50. I’ve seen much more worse customer service from Howie’s and other game centers all around Orange and LA county, obviously some people don’t have much of a base, to give such poor reviews. The place is very clean for a game center/café, guess some of the other reviewrs haven’t came in lately or sat at a computer the attendant didn’t get to cleaning. Their main nights can get hectic, most regulars take a wipe or paper towels provided and give the mouses/keyboards a quick wipe. They do however clean the keyboards/mouses and headsets every morning and night. It’s honestly not the workers fault if some other people have such low hygiene. They have a fairly wide selection of snacks and have a 99cent store right next door as well as other eateries in walking distance. As far as the comment about getting free hours for doing reviews, marketing is marketing and it’s not even that bad of marketing if people honestly feel good about the place. Your telling me if someone offered you a dollar to simply touch your elbow, you wouldn’t do it?

I come here often, and I guess the only issues I have with it is when computers are down and when there’s too many people and not enough computers. Other than that, prices are fair. I especially love Wednesdays because girls get free hours.

Pros: — A lot of computers. — Fair prices. Cons: — Dirty keyboard & mouse. It’s obvious that they don’t clean it regularly. — Disgusting restroom… my eyes are forever scarred. — Slow computers. — Lack of customer service to the point where I had to go to the back office for help. Sorry, but I’m definitely not coming back.

Went once, and that’ll be it. Decided to check this place out because my beloved Yogi’s cyber hub appears to have closed down. The prices seemed to be pretty decent, especially for their 5hrs for $ 5 thing they had before 2pm or something like that. That was the only reason i even gave them 2 stars, even though it probably doesn’t deserve that. The BIG problem here is the cleanliness. Ew ew ew. You can easily tell that they rarely(if ever) wipe down their equipment with any cleaners and you can feel it when you touch the mouse and keyboard. Gross. The computers themselves are nothing special at all. Got laggy playing battlefield 2 above medium settings(really??). They said they would be getting battlefield 3, but i have no clue how they are going to run that on the systems they have here. If you are still completely convinced that you want to go there after this review, watch out driving there. Driving on el toro sucks to begin with because of the amount of clueless drivers and once you get in this parking lot watch out for people. I dont know what it is about this parking lot, but people cross with no regard and dart out every which way. In short: Fair prices. Grossly unclean Low quality computers Ok selection of games Driving around there sucks Just don’t go. Try Howie’s Game shack in the Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo, just beware of the type of crowd there.(Almost exclusively people under the age of 17. Generally screaming and making a lot of noise.)

Pros: –Spacious with a lot of computers –Employees are good about time refunds if comps aren’t working –Snacks and drinks if you get hungry/thirsty –Projector screen with comedy central shows playing all day –Cheap hourly rates, girls play free on Wed Cons: –Computers are slow loading games and sometimes freeze –League of Legends is never updated, i always have to waste 20min doing it myself –A lot of computers have errors and wont run LoL –If a game isn’t running, they don’t fix it: you have to MOVETOANOTHERCOMPUTER. way to break up fun playing with friends ______________________________________________________ The first time I came here I really liked the place, and luckily the games I had chosen to play worked for the most part(with some freezing, low framerates, etc). However, every time i’ve gone back since then we’ve had problems not being able to play games, not being able to update games, or having to split up because the comps haven’t been fixed. At this point, I’d rather pay the extra $ 2/hr and go to Yogis because atleast everything works there… or even stay home since my computer is way faster than anything here. CGC really has gone from a 5 star to a 2 star because i really can’t find any legitimate reasons to rank it any higher. Sure, you get what you pay for, but if you’re running a gaming center, UPDATE your games and make sure they are running. FAIL.

My friends and I have been going to CGC since high school and the new location is great. Spacious and with a ton of computers; this is always a good choice if you and your friends want to lan up and have a great time. The place is clean and has a wide spectrum of games(if you’re into that) and also has a great internet connection if you want to just come to browse. They offer great deals on rates, so just ask the front and they’re normally very helpful. Many great memories from have Battlefield 2 lan TK parties here. I still have no idea how to fly a friggin helicopter(yes you were just killed by me flying it into you upside down. lol) Another upside is the crowd. Normally a clean bunch of kids and no nerd raging. Good times all around
