Horrible service and got cold food! Was in a group of 16 and waited two hours for food! Gm of the place was very unprofessional and rude! Also took about 20 minutes to get a drink while seated! Very unhappy with the service!

Loved this place. We were a group of six adults looking to have a good time on a Monday night. We walked in at 11pm just as it looked like they were going to close. Jake(from state farm) the bartender assured us that we could stick around… And we did. We had a blast! Jake was awesome and took great care of us. Thank you for not closing and having a great time with us.

Yummy bar food with a bit of a twist and a little bit of everything on the menu. Very family friendly. Yummy fried pickles, cheese curds. I had the California chicken sandwich with bar chips. Probably the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.

Great location right next to the Wilderness. Been here a few years ago on vacation and had to come back. Great service, good vibes, comfty booths. Now down to business… the food: Appetizer: Crab Dip special for the day– Not enough crab, very cheesy, like a Artichoke Spinich Dip minus some good flavors. Delicious light tortilla chips and crunch fresh celery came with. Would NOT order this again. Main Meals: Mushroom & Swiss Burger– Huge portions, good fries, mom liked it and had ½ left. Jalapeño Burger– again huge portion, good crunchy chips. Hot jalapeños so good. Dad ate it all Santa Fae Wrap– spicy, very tasty. Would actually order this(was my brother order) and he ate it all. Shrip Tacos(3) — came with breaded shrip, I didn’t know this at the time :-/, cabbage which was really good, and some sauce on flour tortillas. It was good, not a fan of breaded shrip, lacked flavor. Huge portion, I couldn’t eat all 3. I put some of my Dads jalapeños on it and it tasted good. Wouldn’t order it again though. No room for dessert :-/will come back sometime this week to try one. All in all good time, good food, worth a shot of your hungry and not wanting anything too fancy.

Great place in the area for a burger, beer and sports. There is plenty of room in this restaurant to find a great seat for your favorite sporting event. The bar is stocked and you can find your local beers such as Spotted Cow(my fave) or order creative cocktails. As for food, the menu is a decent size and anyone can find something tasty to nibble on. My husband and I shared an order of the cheese curds(full size order, come on now, why tease yourself with only a half order). The cheese curd was pleasant and right amount of batter! For our entrees, I had the classic mushroom and Swiss burger and my husband had the Bucky Badger burger. Personally, I love the classics! If you’ve eaten at the Baraboo or Downtown location, you know the classics are the real deal. The cheese, mushrooms and meat melt my heart and I become a little nostalgic while eating this burger. As for my husbands burger, it was definitely different and tasty though the only thing strange about it was the corn. I’m not sure I enjoy corn on my burgers. The reason this wasn’t a 4-star experience was the service was so incredibly slow. It took a good 10 minutes to get our drink order and which we ordered our apps right away because we were starving. Our server brought the drinks back and plates but walked away… she didn’t take our order until after we were done eating our cheese curds. Though our server was super friendly, the speed was lacking even though it wasn’t too busy in the restaurant. Maybe this is the restaurants strategy for Sunday Football days… I’ll certainly be back to this place but hope for a better experience!

2nd trip here disappointment. Nachos were good. Huge portion. Wings were jumbo and tough as hell and weird. Pulled Pork and texas toast tasted only like the flat grill grease it was cooked on… bad. Burger buns are weak and not toasted. Chopped kale salad suprisingly decent. But wasnt chopped kale. Was baby kale. I hate baby kale. Server never checked in on us. Never refilled beverage. Your typical mediocre weak unsatisfying Dells dining experience. Go to Green Owl or Famous Dave’s on same strip for better everything.

Good food. Really good service.(Thank you Matt). But A little pricey. Cheese burger with upgrade of cheese curds for side was good, and a perfectly cooked med rare but for $ 16 I thought it was a little pricey(small burger, maybe 6oz?)

Apparently a Chicago Bulls game is more important than the World Series! Bartender refused to change the station. Just plain stupid. Food was garbage on top of it.

Monk’s has a good variety of beer, which earns it pretty good marks in my book. With just shy of a dozen on tap, and a good two or three dozen in a bottle, there’s a good pick for whatever your taste. It’s not as cheap as many places around, but given the tourist area, it’s not bad at all. Despite this, the food is severely lacking. The burger was pretty dry, and nondescript, at best. It wasn’t really bad, and hit the spot, but not something I would ever bother with again. The cheese curds and the fried pickles were both allegedly good, but once I ordered them, I’m not really sure who ever said that about them. The pickles were meh, and it’s pretty easy to find better cheese curds anywhere within a 200′ radius. Despite the subpar food, the bar is set up great, with a good dozen huge TVs all over, and everything visible from any vantage point and any seat. It’s right off the interstate and rarely crowded, which helps a lot. Not a bad place to stop by if a game is on, or if you need a pitstop while driving, but aside from that, there’s a lot better great places to swing by for a bite to eat and a beer.

I had the Oktoberfest burger, my wife had the garbage salad. The burger was cooked perfectly, and appropriately seasoned with brown mustard. The pretzel roll was good, and not too heavy to be a bun. The garbage salad throws everything at you except for the single most important part of a salad… No bacon? Service was awesome, décor is great. Very clean.

Well… The pretzel was good… And the manager was nice. Beyond that, we were pretty disappointed with this place. Our sever ignored us — even forgetting to take our order for 10 – 15 minutes. When our 9 month old spilled my water, it took 5 minutes to find someone to get us napkins or a towel… The worst, however, was that they tried to serve raw or massively undercooked chicken fingers to our toddler. If we hadn’t been looking closely, she might well have had a mouthful of raw chicken. That’s just not ok.

We were staying at the Great Wolf Lodge and wanted some good eats close by. My BF was craving burgers/sandwiches and the menu here had many unique dishes. The burgers did not disappoint! I got the Philly burger while he got the breakfast burger. The Philly burger was really good! Combined with the waffle fries… it was a winner. The breakfast burger on the other hand, was just ok. The waiter explained that the egg was going to be runny and unfortunately, wasn’t. The egg was cooked through and the sourdough bread in place of the buns was just too much bread. The next time I come to the Dells, I’ll be sure to stop by and try some of the other burgers!

A friend recommended Monks(at Wilderness) when in Wisconsin Dells, place was awesome and would recommended to anybody!!! Appetizers were awesome because you were able to order half portions, we ordered Fried Pickles(really good), Monk Fries(yum), Cheese Curds(Fresh and Good). Also, kids meals are served on a Monks frisbee(souvenir for kids) great idea!!! If you are in Dells area, stop in!!! Also, they have carry out…

We stayed at the Wilderness so we decided to try it since it was so close. We got the braided pretzel and when it arrived at the table I was stunned at how small it actually was. We had seen photos here on Unilocal of it — and it looked a lot bigger than it was. It was tasty, however. The reuben I had was very good and my kids were thrilled with their kids meal frisbees they got to keep. Pretty much standard bar fare. The waitress did disappear for quite a long time after we gave our credit card to pay the bill. I had just commented to my husband that if we had fraudulent charges on our card, I’d know who to blame when she came back to the table and said their internet needed to be rebooted and that was what was taking so long.(I’ll still keep an eye on my credit card account, however…)

Monk’s is another go-to place for my husband and I when we are in Wisconsin Dells. We have always had a good experience here. The restaurant and the bar area are very spacious at this location. There are plenty of TV’s throughout for watching the Packer game, or other sporting events. The staff is friendly and welcoming. My husband and I, along with a group of our friends, came here to watch the Packers/Cowboys playoff game recently. Our table was surrounded by a big projection screen and several televisions. It was perfect for watching the game. We started off with an appetizer of their delicious cheese curds. Those didn’t last too long at our table. For the meal, I had the«It’s All Gouda» burger. It comes with fresh mushroom slices, apple wood smoked bacon, smoked gouda cheese and chipotle mayo. It was wonderful. My husband had the Monster Burger, which is a half pound patty that comes with bacon, mushrooms, American and Swiss cheese and Monk’s special sauce. He enjoyed his burger as well. As far as drinks go, they have several beers on tap and a full bar. They also have their own specialty drinks. The one that is the most popular is the Purple Monkey. It contains a secret blend of liquors and is very tasty. I wouldn’t recommend having too many of those in one sitting, however :-)

Came with the fam to monk’s because we know it’s the spot for spotted cow on draft. Woo hoo! $ 7 pitchers or something insane that day. We found seats in the leather booths by the bar area and I suggest anyone to not do the hour wait and snag a seat here! Service was wonderful. Our server got us beers with the quickness, brought out food for the kids asap as we instructed, and our grub was just as requested. I had a shrimp po’ boy that was basically a sub with an insane amount of fried shrimp. The toppings were boring with just tomato and lettuce but the shrimp was seasoned really well. I also ordered cheese curds instead of fries and I died and went to heaven. Hubby had jalapeño burger with the same side and he pretty much wanted a polygamous relationship with this meal. We had a great time with great food. For Wisconsin dells, this place is definitely my go to!

After striking out at our first destination our group decided to high tail it over here. Our group ate lunch downstairs in the big booth that accommodated all 10 of us. Service was excellent! Our server was fun, efficient and fast at getting all of our stuff out. Food: Cheese Curds Fried Pickles– These were really good and we all liked that they fried them as spears and not as slices. Spinach Artichoke Dip Monster Burger– said to be one of the best burgers. BLT Burger Clubhouse Santa Fe Salad Cubano Monkey Fries Gouda Burger Fun place and walking distance from Glacier Canyon Lodge.

Great deals on the half off appetizers for sure. We had a huge group — over 30 people and they didn’t even seem bothered by it. We sat in a room all together and the servers were kick ass. Everything was good, no complaints about the food at all. For sure a place you should stop when in the area! And don’t forget to try the Purple Monkey!
