Terrific fish! Friday night during lent. Had the perch and jumbo shrimp. Absolutely would recommend. Staff was wonderful as well. The 2 ladies behind the counter were very helpful and friendly.

Chicken was absolutely disgusting. It felt under cooked. Asked the front girl that I was ordering from for well done. She wrote nothing if the sort on the ticket and I watched her say nothing to the cook. Place was dirty too. Waste of time and money.

I love this place. The food is always excellent and the prices are great. The amount of food that comes with each order is over the top, I always make 2 meals out of it. It’s a hometown favorite, looks like a hole-​in-​the-​wall joint but so worth stopping in. The service is always great, they are happy to see you come in the door.

I stumbled upon this place on a recent business trip to Lake City. I don’t exactly know what the seasoning is they use on the chicken and fries, but it is FANTASMATIC! It doesn’t hurt that the lunch special, with a ton of food, is less than $ 7. I like old school rap, but who knew I was such a fan of hip hop.

Some pretty darn good chicken…
Although Hip Hop’s building is a little rough on the edges, their location is somewhat inconvenient, and the fact that they serve an unnecessary slice of white bread with all of their menu items, they have some seriously good chicken! I can’t exactly put my finger on it, but there is some type of seasoning that they put on their fries and fried chicken pieces, that packs a lot of flavor. Even though the building looks sketchy, I would definitely recommend trying Hip Hop out.
