This location is actually in the the casino. I was starving and decided to randomly treat myself to a quick bar service dinner. Everything was superb as expected. I had the crab cakes with Mac and cheese for a side dish and water. Service for 1 at the bar. Quick and easy. In and out and back to the slots. Cha Ching!

This place was amazing. The service was incredible from start to finish. The filet was the best thing I’ve ever eaten and the Mac and cheese and caked potato was superb too. Even the bread and butter that started the meal was better than anywhere else. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and it wasn’t my cup of tea but it was ok. I would definitely recommend this place and will come back again!

Biggest disappointment ever. I sat at the bar and there weren’t many other people in the bar area. I wasn’t acknowledged until at least 5 mins later… I felt so awkward. The tuna tartare appetizer was disgusting. It tasted like I was eating at a low class restaurant, and my filet mignon was terrible. I ordered it medium and it came out well done and tasted old. The bartender never checked on me. I have no clue what the fuss is about here, but it’s overpriced and poor quality from my experience.

The Ribeye and Filet were cooked to perfection! The calamari was cooked perfectly as well. The wedge salad was great. The crime brûlée was a great ending to a perfect meal. The service was also perfect. We could not have asked for a better experience. Please keep up the great work.

This was my second time eating at this location, and it was just as superb. We had a six month old with us and they were nice enough to give us a back corner table. Our waiter was Chris Sanford, one of the best I’ve ever had. Request him if you go. We got the cheese board and the bacon appetizers. Cheese was good, but bacon was out of this world. Bisque is amazing and delicious. Wine selection is fantastic. Recommend au gratin potatoes for the side. And the bread pudding for dessert. I got king crab and my husband got a steak, both were amazing. Will definitely return. Worth every penny. Tip: make a reservation a day or more ahead of time. They fill up fast.

I had very high expectations for Vic and Anthony and was extremely dissapointed with the lack of service and attention from management. The beginning of our dinner went well the steak was perfect that is why I gave it a rating of two stars. The waiter seemed in a hurry and asked if we would want anything else such as coffee.etc. My boy friend and I kindly declined and told him we would like to finish our wind. He then poured the wine in my glass quickly until all the wine spilled on the table. My LV purse had a few splashes of wine and so did my clothes. I was pissed. He apologized and gave us the check. He also forgot to comp the dessert for my boyfriend’s dinner, which he corrected immediately . We spent another 10 – 15 minutes sipping on our glass of wine and no one(manager) noticed the soiled table! We sat at a table covered with red wine stains I will never visit this place again.

The bar here is abysmal. The kitchen quite good. At the bar service is mediocre, the drinks absolutely slap dash. The bar tenders are untrained and unskilled at making cocktails. Drinks are barely shaken, unmeasured and unremarkable or just bad. If you want a nice sloppy pour of something nice neat, then this is a boon. Otherwise you’ll get a watery mess. If you order a glass of wine it may come out in the wrong glass because who cares. Astonished at how bad the bar was. I got the snapper dinner special and it was quite good, well cooked and presented.

My husband and I celebrated his 50th birthday by dining here. It was fabulous. Not only is the food superb the service is equally fabulous. Justin could not been any better. He is impeccable. It is part of the Morton’s Family. We love Morton on Canal in NOLA. Happy to be able to enjoy the same great food and service closer to home.

Got here about 8:15 on a Wednesday night. Waited for 15 min to be seated at a table. Ordered dozen raw oysters($ 29), 16 oz prime ribeye($ 46), 12 oz filet mignon($ 48), au gratin potatoes($ 11). Oysters were delicious! Large and cleaned very well. Came with what looks to be crackers made in house. 5⁄5 Prime ribeye was marbled, well seasoned, and cooked to my liking(medium rare). 5⁄5 Filet mignon was so tender. 5⁄5 Au gratin potatoes were sinfully good; very cheesy and rich. 5⁄5 Saw the owner, Tilman Fertitta, dining there too. Definitely the best restaurant in the Golden Nugget.

We had dinner here last weekend for my boyfriend’s birthday. This was my first experience at any Vic and Anthony’s. The food was really great and the service was impeccable. My boyfriend’s steak was overcooked, however they corrected the mistake very quickly and everything was delicious! The free dessert for his birthday was icing on the cake! Highly recommend for any special occasion! Or if you win big in the casino!

There is no better experience than this. Period. If you want a fine dining steakhouse place — look no further and be prepared for your wallet to cry. BUT — it’s worth EVERY penny. I went for my bday dinner with my best friend. We had a BLAST. The filets were cooked to perfection, the asparagus was unbelievably delicious and the duck fat potatoes are EVERYTHING you need in LIFE! I had the cheesecake w/blueberry ginger compote for dessert and I think I want to marry it… seriously. If you can, PLEASE make sure you include this in your visit to the casino, you will be treating yourself right!

«Hey Gabe, we are going to celebrate» says a colleague«Come along» Free food and drinks are great. Free food and drinks at a place like this, are phenomenal! We started off with this monstrosity of an app. It was several types of cold seafood. Alaskan crab legs, oysters on the half shell, lobster tails, shrimp cocktail, and I think other stuff. Insane. I am sure this cost a fortune. I wasn’t privy to this info since I was a tag along. All of this with a perfectly made Sazerac and you have the start of a great meal. I then had a perfectly cut prime beef 14 oz. NY Strip cooked medium rare. This was an amazing cut of beef. When a steak is cooked right, it needs nothing else but it’s own juices. This was that steak. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe how good this thing was. I know we had some creamed spinach and potatoes au gratin for the table to split but I was too busy drinking my wine and eating that wonderful cut of beef to remember them. Vic and Anthony’s is located inside of The Golden Nugget Casino and while I don’t ordinarily care for casino’s, this place didn’t feel like that. The lighting is low so it could have a romantic feel if you’d like. The tables are far enough apart that you wouldn’t notice the rowdy group of guys telling lies in the corner. Bottom line is that this place is pricey as are all high end steakhouse and I hate ala carte side items. However, I wasn’t paying so my only complaint was mute.

The food and the ambiance was outstanding.(The steaks had a great flavor) Great wine list and desert menu. The service was not great but she did an OK job. It was her first time waiting on tables and has a lot to learn. But she tried.

Fantastic Service(rare in LC), Wine selection is basically heaven. Steaks are delicious, premium and perfection in cooking, the side dishes are large and easily shared. We have been 4 times since December and have had a wonderful experience each time. Irish Ale cocktail is surprisingly delightful. I do not give this great of a rating easily– especially here in Lake Charles. Bön Apetite!

My husband and dined here last evening for our 3rd wedding anniversary. I made reservations on OpenTable. This was our first experience at any Vic & Anthony’s. We kept saying this is where we were going to go for our Anniversary dinner. Overall, the service was impeccable! We tried both the Crab Cake and the Quail for appetizers. The crab cake was top notch and stuffed with tons of premium crab. It was a toss up for me between the quail or the Lobster Bisque. The quail was very delicious, a bit on the small side… Which it is a small bird anyway lol… However, I had wished I had tried the Lobster Bisque instead. I will definitely keep that in mind if we ever return for another special occasion. For our entrees, we chose the regular New York Strip and the Skirt Steak. The skirt steak had a really great flavor. The Strip on the other hand did lack a little, but the bacon butter I had added did compliment the steak very well. Our sides were the duck fat potatoes and the creamed spinach. The spinach was DIVINE! It’s worth going back for it alone! It was melt in your mouth goodness! DEF recommend it! It had a crusty, almost bread crumb– like topping followed by a taste of definitely not low-fat creaminess. :) it was the best thing out of everything we ate!!! Because it was our anniversary, the dessert was on the house. We chose the Croissant Bread Pudding! Amazing as well! In the end, we were so stuffed! Our waiter was absolutely on his game! He did an excellent job keeping the drinks refilled and checked on our table frequently! He deserved every bit of his tip! Overall wonderful experience!

Vic & Anthony’s is my favorite restaurant in Houston. I have been perhaps a dozen times and have never experienced anything less that superlative food and service. I usually order a bone-in filet; it is always prepared perfectly. I love to start with their carpaccio, which they give a tartare treatment with an egg. Their oysters are always fresh. All their sides are great, but my favorites are the Brussels sprouts, the Mac n cheese and the sea salt fries. I am not a big lobster fan, but the lobster I had there just blew me away. best I have ever had. The crab cakes here are to die for. The best I’ve ever had. There’s huge lumps of crab meat on top and the sauce is perfect. The steak was cooked to perfection. Juicy, medium rare steak. The wine selection is expansive, and it includes a sizeable«by the glass» selection. The service is exactly what I would expect from a top notch steak house. The servers are knowledgable and on-the-spot at all times. Your glass is never empty. Recommendations are never a disappointment. They have a good bar, but it can be a challenge, as it is usually packed elbow to belly button. Vic & Anthony’s is an excellent place to spoil a client or celebrate an occasion. It is pricey, but worth every penny.

My second time eating at this place. Excellent service, great ambient, and marvelous food. I had the Wagyu skirt steak and it was good, but compared to the ribeye, the ribeye beats the Wagyu in a heart beat.

Perhaps this place has lately improved(given past bad reviews), because I though the meal was outstanding. We had : –the roasted quail appetizer, which had a tasty sauce and well dressed salad –The wedge salad with their housemade ranch dressing, which was possibly the best ranch I’ve ever had –I had the 8oz filet, which was more than enough and a good piece of very basically seasoned meat. –My boyfriend had the Waygu steak(literally falls apart in your mouth, so tender) with duck fat potatoes that tasted very rich and almost bacony. –the bread pudding was great, but I was so full at this point that I didn’t eat much of it. Our waiter was great, and overall the service was very attentive. Only downside is that people don’t really dress up like they should for a restaurant like this, but that’s just lake Charles for you. Also the bathroom is outside of the restaurant in the casino, so it’s better to go beforehand!

I split the bone-in ribeye with my fifi. 6 of us at the table shared a lot of apps and sides. The calimari and steak tar tar served on a thick salt plate stood out. I asked for the steak to be cooked rare+ but medium rare is the best he could do. The ribeye was still super good though. Also had a wedge salad which was on point. Not the best place I’ve ever been to in my life, but still really, really good.

I hate leaving bad reviews, especially for a place open such a short time, but here we go. Simply, it was the worst steak dinner I have ever paid for. The service was marginal and the food was worse. Our salads were bland and my Tomato and Onion Salad consisted of 4 slices of tomatoes(which were fine) along with, maybe, 4 slivers of red onion and a very few blue cheese crumbles. The Caesar Salads were ever dressed with average dressing and the Wedge had un-fresh lettuce and terrible dressing. Then it got worse: Two of us ordered the Ribeye and they were awful. I ordered mine Black and Blue with the Béarnaise and received a steak that was ~½ inch thick(nothing like the 1 inch thick steaks on the case upon entry) with no char and cooked somewhere near medium in the middle. The sauce was pored over the top of the steak as opposed to on the side as to almost hide the poor cooking technique. I specifically asked the waitress if they could cook a steak black and blue(or Pittsburgh) and she assured me they could. Both of our Ribeyes were heavy as if they were wet when cooked. My wife’s filet was nice and thick slathered in butter so it sounded good right? Nope, she ordered it rare and it was medium to medium well. No one ever offered to pour our wine and they didn’t acknowledge my Mother’s birthday though that was discussed when they called to confirm the reservation earlier in the day. I have some inside intel and I know their was a crew from Houston(and maybe other places) training the kitchen and staff, but they all failed. Shame.
