I can’t think of a less professional, less courteous business out there. We have been members for over 15 years and I’m consistently shocked by the ever changing rules and practices by this credit union. We’ve since moved our money and business over to a different financial institution, but still maintain open accounts with CSE, why, I have no idea. There is no benefit. The rules are ever changing with the excuses/explanation that they’re member owned and not a traditional bank so they can do what they please. I am a contract employee and occasionally will deposit a check from(a reputable, established) business account into my share/savings at CSE. The money will then be held for(sometimes greater than) 2 weeks before it is made available to me, even though I have physical proof that it has cleared the other parties account in 1 – 2 days. Where is that money all of that time? My family sometimes write my minor children birthday or Christmas checks made out to them. They are between the ages of 4 – 15 in varying amounts between $ 10-$ 50. CSE refuses to deposit those checks into my checking or share because my 4 year old’s name is not on the account. GIVE. ME. A. BREAK. In the span of 6 months, THEIR atm network was compromised and rather than calling to alert us, they locked the account(both times) on a Friday afternoon and we were totally unable to access our own money until they opened Monday and we went into have a new card made. In one of those instances we were out of town and could not make it in to have a new card made. We asked that they allow us to use the account at our risk. They declined and kept it locked, or stated they could over night us a new card at our expense of $ 55.00. For THEIROWNLACKOFSECURITY. They are rude, unhelpful and honestly just unbelievable.
