Weak drinks and bland food. Had a double house margarita and could only barely taste tequila. Then has the fajitas for my meal. There were only 4 small strips of peppers and a heaping pile of onions. Their chips and salsa was really bland as well. We kept ordering items off heir menu that they no longer had: Manhattan, ceviche. This atmosphere had a lot of potential but food just didn’t do anything for me.

This was a childhood favorite. Most mexican restaurants are better. However, it is very kid friendly. The Salsa is sort of like ketchup(kids like it). The margaritas are good but I recommend getting an extra shot. The blanco cheese dip is pretty awesome

Talk about disgusting! We were getting take out on a nasty, rainy night. What we got was nasty disgusting food that was over priced and not really edible. Cold cheese dip, overcooked food, and some unidentifiable things in a to go box= a phone call for a solution. When we called back, to report missing food and a wrong order, we got an attitude and an extra charge on our credit card, plus a comment of give it three to five days for the credit to appear. You can bet we will watch the card statement… We eat out on a regular basis, and this will not be on our radar anymore.

Ate here tonight to try the $ 2. Tuesday menu– tacos, enchiladas, chalupas, rice & beans– and margaritas all $ 2. each. Everything was excellent. Food was great, service was great– thank you Shayna, who took quick care of us so we could catch a movie! Definitely will be back next Tuesday!

This place was absolutely disgusting and awful. Not to mention terrible service. It took so long to get a refill on my water that I got up to go refill it myself in their drink station. Upon entering the small area I saw open condiments and other drinks like sweet tea with dozens of flys flying in and around all of it. I was sickened to my stomach. God knows what their back of house looks like. Never again will I go there. Disgusting!!!

Love this place, the food is always good. Try the quesadillas they have bacon in them making them different from others. The drinks are strong and the service is always good. Queso al lapri is also a great dish that other do not serve. Try them both.

Great place for a good meal. The chips could be a bit warmer, but the chicken enchiladas especial with verde sauce were amazing!

If I could rate negative stars I would. Made a to go order; it was completely wrong and COLD. Their tortillas are made there, however, they are doughy and thick. Their salsa is a generic canned brand and it was the only good tasting item in my order

Wow. Beware anyone looking for Mexican food in Lake Charles. I should have known the food would be horrible just by the smell of the restaurant and the salsa that tastes like ketchup.

When was the last time you’ve eaten at a Mexican Restaurant that has been operating in the same location continuously for 38 Years? You can not accomplish this feat unless you are doing something right. This could be one of the best Mexican restaurants you’ll ever visit sure it’s not authentic Mexican fare so don’t confuse the two but I’ve eaten here from day one and it’s an iconic fixture in Lake Charles and earns a right to be recognized along side of other iconic restaurants in the area because fortunately there are a number of restaurants that reaches this level of greatness in this area and for a town this size it’s extremely rare. Give them a try for a no risk option for a great meal.

Service at Casa Mañana was superb. The waiter was funny and attenative. The menu could be better. Mostly just the basics with a couple unique items like the Queso Puff and the Pollo Y Camaron plate with mexican potatoes. Prices are great. 2 of us dined with margaritas and an appetizer for $ 50. Food was tasty. I had the shrimp tacos. The shrimp were very flavorful(must have been marinated) and the roasted corn and black bean salsa was a nice touch. The tortilla soup is nothing like any tortilla soup I’ve ever eaten. It was more of a beef stew than anything. Don’t get me wrong, it was very good, just not what I was expecting. I would recommend this place if you are in the area.
