For a sports store the employees don’t move very fast. Forget about the gun and ammo section. They know nothing about Their products. And the ammo is overpriced, if they have any. Running gear they have pretty much everything you would need. The largest selection of shoes I have ever seen in one place. Bathrooms are clean.

Too many employees standing around doing nothing. I had to ask where to pick up my basketball goal. Then had to shut off car in front & go in & tell them I’m ready! My trunks opened. Cashiers need a hit of caffeine!

Spent over $ 1300 on a gun safe and had to absolutely beg for a piece of cardboard to lay it on. I thought that was ridiculous since it was the display with no packaging. Then they had no forklift for a 700lb safe! These guys here are the epitome of unprepared. It took them over an hour to find the handles for it. This is after I paid of course. Will absolutely never go back to this particular store again.

I think everyone has had… or invented an excuse to shop here at least once, but in case you’ve never been, Academy is like the IKEA of sporting goods… They may not have the super top of the line whatchamacallit you’re looking for, but for the majority of people they have most of your needs covered when it comes to sports and outdoors. I’ve never had a problem at this location. Employees are always willing to help and fairly knowledgeable with the products most of the time. I do however have problems finding sports apparel in sizes small enough for my 5 year old. Products include hunting, camping, and fishing supplies, apparel, shoes and boots, fitness, team sports, golf, tennis, boating and marine, firearms and ammo, recreation, ect…
