We came to eat here 3 times on our trip since it was in our hotel and convenient for us when we were too tired to leave our hotel. Disrespectful hosts. We were told we had to wait 40 minutes the first time and 80 minutes the second time. Meanwhile the restaurant was EMPTY both times. We asked if we could have one of the empty tables since there were SO many, and they said they were reserved for those who made reservations. Well after we waited an absurd amount of time and we were being seated, all the empty seats they were reserving were still empty and never filled up the entire time we dined there! Also, in this completely empty restaurant the host sits us in the most undesirable location next to the noisy kitchen where the servers go in and out both nights. We explained our dissatisfaction of sitting us there when there are dozens of empty tables, and since we spoke up they sat us at a table next to the window. They should have sat us there first time. On our last day we decide to go get breakfast there and they said it’s a 50 minute wait. And again the restaurant had dozens of empty tables. We complained saying how the always give us a long wait when the restaurant is empty and they had no valid excuse. We were a party of 5 adults, we had no children or special needs that we needed further accommodations. We left to go eat else where and then as soon as we left and made other breakfast plans they texted us saying our table is ready. Awful customer service. Don’t eat here unless you don’t mind the service being disrespectful of you and your short time on this vacation.

Had the cob salad… Half the lettuce was old and mushy… The service was«ehhh» at best, it was almost dead and he came and took order and once with a drink refill other than that didn’t see him. Food was ran out by someone else… Which is fine… Just wondering what else he was doing. Atmosphere has done the typical recent downfall of Disney cleanliness, crayon on wall, ripped wallpaper in more than one place, finger prints all over the glass… And we went to lunch, I didn’t see one child in there it wasn’t busy but the four people standing around working one reservation computer were too busy to wipe anything down. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the Moscow Mule was AMAZING! Way to go bar tender!

The vegetarian penne pasta was the absolute best pasta ever. Olives, spinach, and red chill’s. Also the kids meals are so big grab those if you can, pizza or the kids pasta. Had a bit of everything. Also the Cob Salad sooooooo good. The cheesecake was also very good. The wait was a little long but so worth it.

Loved this restaurant. Came here last December during my trip to Disney and decided to give this a try. For an upscale hotel resort like the Floridian, its obviously this has to be portrayed through the restaurants it offers as well, and it does that perfectly. I believe I got the eggs Benedict and coffee. Both were amazing. Though its a bit pricey for breakfast, but you have to consider what you’re getting in return. The food and ingredients that goes into this dish were so fresh and tasteful, its an easy dish to assemble but its the quality of food and the way its prepared that makes the difference. You can easily go to a fast food chain or a food court and get the same thing that’s a lot cheaper, but i won’t be any where near how good this one tastes If you’re going to Disney, I’d definitely recommend going here for breakfast lunch or dinner, or all!

This place is beyond amazing. The service is beyond attentive and accommodating. Our server was very sweet and allowed me to keep my menu and she signed it for me. The atmosphere is amazing and so pretty. Cinderella’s carriage drove by and the server told me so I could run take photos. This is a must stop on your trip to Walt Disney world.

This place is an easy 7 star. Excellent food on par with fine dining spots at wdw. As an annual pass holder, I have tried all restaurants at the Grand Floridian hotel including V&A, and most fine dining restaurants at wdw. This place is solid. If you are a math person, the quality per dollar spent easily ranks the top 3 on my list.

A hidden gem in WDW? Could it be? I didn’t have any intention of going to GFC at all during our last visit. I’d planned to make a reservation for a restaurant in Epcot, but then I remembered that I wanted to see the gingerbread house in the Grand Floridian hotel, and if I dragged my mom all the way out there from the Yacht Club, she’d kill me. So I made dinner reservations so I’d have the excuse to go there. Our waiter was cordial, but not friendly — I can’t remember his name, but he was from Austria. Not the Disney service I’m accustomed to, unfortunately. My mom and I both had the French Onion soup(delicious), and my husband and my aunt had the Caesar salad(nothing special, they noted). For entrees, everyone ordered the Surf & Turf Burger except for myself, as I’m allergic to lobster. I decided on the Shrimp & Grits. Good, but overly salty, which was ironic because the burger was underseasoned, according to my husband. My mom enjoyed the burger though; it may have been because my husband didn’t want the grilled onions on the burger, so it lacked that extra flavor. We all split the dessert sampler, which was really good except for the fruit tart — the pie dough base was too sweet and too hard. It would’ve been so much better had they used puff pastry. A very typical hotel restaurant ambiance, but with surprisingly decent food and decent prices. Choose the GFC if you want a quieter dinner that isn’t all hustle and bustle trying to shuttle people in and out as quickly as they can. Bonus: if you’re sitting towards the back of the restaurant, you can catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks!

The first time I have ever wanted to lick the plate. The salmon is amazing. It has an Asian glaze and is served with a lemon infused rice and wasabi peas crushed over the top. We also had the cheese plate as a started. Very good and enough for two to share. The lobster burger is also good, but it’s a small amount of lobster. If you like salmon, go for the salmon. You will not be disappointed.

We ate at the Grand Floridian Café and the food was amazing. We have food allergies and everyone goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. We had the most fabulous server Okie who is very personable and caring. My daughter ordered the Salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I had the Apple, Pecan, goat cheese and cranberry salad. Which was delicious, and my husband ordered the New York Steak, which he said was very good. My husband wanted apple pie but they didn’t have on the menu. So Okie walked next door to Park Fair to get him the closet thing to apple Pie a apple crumble. We also ordered the Chocolate fondue for dessert and it was fabulous as usual. I would highly recommend eating at the Grand Floridian Café whether your staying at the Grand Floridian or at another resort. Such a hidden jem at the Disney World Resort.

Good food but service exceptionally poor. Overall — not as good as McDonalds. We were seated promptly. The server asked about the dining plan(Yes) and if any charges were to be split. Because we intended to order«extra» items not on the plan(cocktails, wine, and a salad) we explained the procedure– charges for extras to be split. The server asked if we were in the same room and somewhat irresponsibly I told the truth -«Yes, but the charges are to be split.» The server said«If you are in the same room that makes it easy.» I had premonitions, but I repeated that charges beyond the dining plan were to be split. The server repeated my words, but(spoiler alert) clearly did not assimilate their meaning. The server appeared confused by the cocktail orders, perhaps because we did not respond in the order asked, but they came out fine. We ordered dinner and hot rolls and butter followed promptly. One in the party asked that his steak be converted to a surf and turf by adding the lobster topping served with a different entrée. The server offered to «Ask the chef.» The entrees arrived. The steaks were close enough to mid rare that their recipients rated the 5 stars except the one that showed without the requested topping who still gave it 4 stars. The recipient of the chicken said 5 stars but ate less than 1/3, so I figure 3 stars. The shrimp and grits were excellent-5 stars. The pork chop was edible. Tough and under seasoned, served with under seasoned broccolini and mushroom goat cheese spoon bread that was tasty but so over salted it was not edible. 2 stars. Let’s talk wine. The Schweigert Spring Hill Cabernet sells on the Internet for about $ 56 and is only $ 71 on the menu. The other dines were also values but not like the Schweigert. BV Tapestry is about $ 30 and $ 69 in the restaurant. We asked for the wine to be served with the entrees but had to ask the server and in order to eat hot food the meal was half-over before the wine arrived. After a pleasant, reasonably paced meal(85 minutes from being seated) we order dessert. All straight from the menu, prepared well in advance, but 30 minutes coming to the table. The desserts are good. The bill arrives about 5 min later and as feared, it is not split. After explaining for the third time how to split the bill the server hints that it would be easier to leave it on one check. So, I repeat how to split the bill for a 4th time. The server sighs and leaves, coming back 15 minutes later(45 min since we ordered dessert) with a corrected bill and a story that a manager had to be summoned to correct the billing Right now, I’m thinking 4 star food and 0 star services averages to 2 stars But, the server can’t let it rest and tells me that if I had stated in advance how to split the bill it would have been faster. If I didn’t have a small child, on best behavior through a 2 hr 35 min meal after a full day in the Disney theme parks, I would have asked to speak to a manager. I’ve eaten in many poor restaurants and generally write positive reviews. The only past exceptions had been overpriced and ostentatious establishments. But being told by a less-than-competent server that it was really my fault inspired me to call this deficiency to the attention of my vast following(that’s a joke because I don’t think anyone reads my reviews). In the ride back to our lodging all the adults talked about how good was the food and how horrid was the service.

I actually think this is one of the hidden gems of WDW. Their prices are reasonable in my opinion and the food delicious. I’ve gone for both breakfast and lunch. I got a sandwich for lunch and it was excellent and for breakfast I got the French toast. It was definitely one of the best French toasts I’ve ever had. Granted, I’m no French toast connoisseur, but I did think it was very good! The service is also good. The servers I’ve received each time have been very nice and helpful with their food suggestions. I’ve never felt like they didn’t care about me and the rest of my party. The reason I gave it 4 stars is despite how good the food and service is, my food(both times) tends to take a while to come out. It took about 50 minutes last time. But the food was so yummy when it finally came out that I didn’t get so upset about it haha

I vaguely remember staying at the Grand Floridian 20 years ago and it being a magical place to have breakfast. Now, two decades later, I would have to agree with my five year old self. We made a breakfast reservation on a whim for four. The hostess seated us promptly and our server, Jared, was WONDERFUL. The coffee was on point and hot. My friend and I got the frozen cappuccinos which are essentially milkshakes and have no trace of coffee in them but are delicious, nonetheless. That morning, I got chocolate chip pancakes. These are nice and fluffy pancakes with the outside crisped perfectly. On our return trip that week, I got the Flagler(with sausage not ham) and it was equally great. Their home fries are out of this world as I believe they are done up in real bacon grease and onions. This is NOT A CHARACTERBREAKFAST. As someone who was not staying on the property, I will let you in on a little secret: you can park for free at the hotel if you have a dining reservation and leave your car there all day!

Very good overall. I can’t complain. Avocado/shrimp appetizer was excellent. I had the surf & turf burger with fries, blue moon to go with with it. It was not quite what I expected but still very good! My girlfriend had a pasta dish, not sure but she said it was good. I would have to say the atmosphere is what completes the dining experience here. Mizner’s lounge before dinner on 2nd floor & listening to the band after dinner. It was a great night overall.

What a treat it is to eat at the Grand Floridian Café. Make sure you take a tour of the hotel grounds if you are not staying here. It is only a short walk from the Polynesian resort also. Live piano and band music is a wonderful accompaniment to a very elegant hotel. Much more of an upscale environment than any other Disney resort. Gluten Free sufferers such as myself will find this restaurant to be very sensitive to those with allergies or sensitivities. I’m always glad to see GF bread and rolls, even if the substitution is not quite on par with the real deal. My French onion soup came with a GF bread topping under tons of cheese. I also enjoyed a burger with a GF roll. The service and food was on par with the upscale atmosphere. Since you are in Disney, the pricing is higher than in many places, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. We enjoyed the Café.

My boyfriend and I decided to come here for our last dinner at the Disney’s World Parks. We originally wanted to try the«Be Our Guest» restaurant in Magic Kingdom, but they were booked out for the evening. However, this place sure didn’t disappoint. Reservation was made an ease with the My Disney Experience app(love how useful the app was on our trip). As you might expect, the Grand Floridian Café is located in the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. From Magic Kingdom, you can either take the monorail or a small boat over. Once here, you might feel as if you stepped back in time. Staff here are fully costumed and display that charming southern hospitality. As for the food, I would have to say it’s a little on the more expensive side, but definitely worth it. My boyfriend and I ended up ordering the cheese plate for an appetizer, we shared the char-crusted New York strip, and a must, the Disney’s dessert sampler for dessert. The cheese plate was a bit disappointing because they only gave you four slices of cheese. These cheese are the same variety as the one they serve in the Garden View Tea Room. However, it did come with delicious fresh honeycomb and this amazing sweet block of goodness(jam I suppose???). The New York strip came split and was beautifully presented. We also added grilled shrimp to our order because we were feeling extra fancy. The steak was perfectly cooked and juicy. Side items were good as well. The dessert sampler was out-of-this-world CUTE. It came with a berry tart, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate mousse cake, a cup of cappuccino dessert of some sort, and of course, a solid milk chocolate Mickey!!!

This restaurant is a lesser known restaurant in the powerhouse group of restaurants at the Grand Floridian. I would say that their service and food is top notch. We were promptly seated and the server was able to explain our Disney Dining Plan entitlements without any hesitation or hiccup. It was very refreshing and everything tasted great. Probably will come back to eat.

A really nice menu with some unique offerings like the burger with lobster on top and the breakfast eggs Benedict with lobster hash. Portions are large and I suggest sharing an entrée or larger breakfast item. Our service at lunch was painfully slow but Sergio at breakfast restored our faith. A very nice setting and though choked with yelling kids, they seemed to seat the adults with out kids away from the more boistorus of the smaller clientel.

I had lunch here the day we arrived at Disney World, I was staying at the Grand Floridian Resort so it was an easy convenient place to dine while waiting for my room to be ready. The décor is lovely — light colors and plenty of windows that create a bright, welcoming atmosphere. This is a café that generally serves lighter fare so the décor matches the food beautifully. I had the French onion soup to start, a sandwich, and I finished off with a key lime tart. Everything looked and tasted great. I wouldn’t consider this a «must» restaurant while at Disney but it’s a great place to go if you’re in the area.

Had lunch here the night we stayed and decided to try this café! Had to wait about 10 minutes and then our buzzer went off! Told us they didn’t serve breakfast after 12 and then a table next to us got breakfast served! I was like what bunk… However for having one of the best GLUTEN-FREE sandwiches Ive ever had is 5 star worthy in my books. They had gluten-free bread and the chef came out Disney style and told me everything else was good on it. I had a German sandwich which had sauerkraut, thousand island dressing, and corned beef. Was super good, and a delicious iced coffee to drink it up with. Next time I’m in Orlando I’m def making a stop here again.
