The guys at Shady Days were courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. And they do great work. They installed tint on my 2 side windows (driver/​passenger) and UV protection film on my windshield in about an hour. My X5 looks even better now. They also thoroughly explained what I need to do to ensure the films cure properly and how to keep them clean. I’ll be coming back with my next car for sure!

Came to Mark and the team when I wanted the clear bra removed from my sports car.
My high end restoration shop said they used Shaded Days for all their work so I felt confident they would fix my car properly.
Mark advised me about potential paint damage upon removal of the clear bra but the car was perfect when I picked it up.
At the same time, I discussed window tinting for my BMW. They advised me which products were available and their personal recommendations having done work on many BMWs. I followed their suggestion to do the ceramic tint. It looks great, works as suggested, and they did an excellent installation job.
Shaded Days is a staff of perfectionists and «car people». Highly recommended.
They also happily provided needed transportation. Can’t ask for better service

I had my first car tinted at Shady Days four years ago and Mark did an amazing job so I came back to him two months ago when I bought a new car. I have been dealing with skin cancer problems for the last fifteen years and as a result I did my research at every level before I had that first car tinted at Shaded Days. I had never heard of the business but I asked a friend who worked at Knauz auto in Lake Bluff who they use. Apparently, they use more than one installer but the person said that Mark was the best.
I also did my research online and read reviews of all window tints and chose the Llumar Air 80 Blue not only because it blocks 99% plus of all uva/​uvb but because it seemed to keep vision clear. I was a novice to window tinting and at first was worried that it was a bit hazy after getting my car back but Mark told me to be patient as the tint needed to «cure» and all would be good and it was better than good. The peace of mind I get from having the window tinting is invaluable.
The new car I just brought to Mark was a 2015 Honda Accord and the window configuration looked a lot more challenging and time consuming to tint than my boxy Honda Element. The angles of the front and back windshield are steeper and in addition to front and back seat windows there is a third mini glass pane on each side. I handed off my car to Jake who would have made me nervous because he looked so young but I remembered him from four years ago when he just started apprenticing with Mark so I had confidence that he had probably made any mistakes in his early days and was experienced enough to handle the job.
I am writing this exactly one week from the tinting because I wanted to wait and confirm that it set right. I kept the interior of the windshield/​windows free from moisture and finally sprayed Sparkle with a soft cloth and completely cleaned the outside as well. I searched for any imperfection, any bubbling, any hazing, any microtears, lines, anything that was wrong. It was flawless. If anybody has ever seen an average tint job you can see imperfections and a bad tint job cannot be lived with, but this was serious craftsmanship. Mark did a great job teaching Jake, and Jake said that this is career so who knows it might even be better to have the kid work on your car, because he sure seems to have a lot of youthful enthusiasm.
You might think I was some kind of paid reviewer with all these details but I just appreciate the work they did and wanted to give a serious thank you. I tipped Jake $ 25 (not that they expect a tip) because I still can’t believe how perfect my car is.
Please understand that Mark charges a little more than others but that to me is a no brainer. Is there anything more important in your car than visibility/​safety? This is something that you will have for years and if it’s done badly you will never be happy. And besides Mark and his team deserve to make a decent living considering how skilled they are.
Every time I walk up to my car I think how great it looks and how happy I am to have had the work done at Shaded Days.

Had two VWs tinted here. A little pricier than some places but definitely worth it, especially after seeing the job some cheaper places do. Nice clean lines close to the edge and no bubbles here.

Had my car tinted and I am very satisfied. He is priced a LITTLE higher then the other place I went to, But well worth it.
