Comfort Inn Pocono Lakes Region

A nice hotel with incredibly friendly staff. However there are two bones I have to pick: there is only one wifi network for the entire (quite large) hotel which means that accessing the Internet is next to impossible. It took me nearly ten minutes to load a single webpage. Impossible to get anything done.
My second bone to pick is with the cleaning. We stayed two nights, but the room was never cleaned. Presumably we were still in the room when they first came around but then they never came back. Not a deal breaker since we’re not messy people but not what we were expecting.
The breakfast that was included was great, and I can’t emphasize enough that the staff is beyond amazingly friendly. However the shoddy wifi really killed it for me.

We didn’t book this place until after we got on the road. It was a getaway place to be away from NYE in NYC. Hubby took my suggestion to stay close to the mountain and forest, far from human habitation *:) We took our dog who deserved this vacation because she makes everybody very happy. I was very satisfied with all the reviews from this hotel. It beats some of the 4-​star hotels. We loved this place, the dog loved it too! The staff members were so helpful, lovely and so nice to our dog. Our dog loves running so she got plenty of room to run in front of the hotel and around the area. All grass in front of the hotel overlooking the mountain and surrounded by the trees. Perfect for Sandy! I tried the breakfast here but because I’m not a fan of scrambled-​eggs from a hot pot (need real eggs), I settled with hard boiled eggs, multi-​grain bread, butter and jelly plus fruits and yogurt. Caffeine-​manias can find fresh coffee 24 hrs in the dining area so they can stay awake in this quiet place or find time to read if they can’t fall asleep. The entire place is very clean. They manage to keep a nice scent for the entire hotel every single day. Our dog is clean too. Each time we took her outside to play, she knew to go to the bathroom first to the clean her paws before walking around the room. We’re so thankful to the management and staff who welcomed our stay with our dog. Every hotel should always keeps-​up with super warm and friendly environment like this one no matter where they are located on the map. The price was reasonable and you can make this your place until you buy a new home in Poconos *:) Forget NYC, you have enough oxygen to breathe in this town. Our thanks to Tanya, Diane and some other staff that we encountered during our stay. Two and more thumbs-​up to the Gold Award Choice Hotels 2015 winner! You did it!

Great mid-​range hotel. Clean rooms and a lot of small amenities that make the stay more pleasant, such as cookies at the front desk and a ²⁴⁄₇ food area with tea, hot water and fruits. In my part of the hotel, I found the wifi to be strong and reliable. The staff were very friendly and check-​in was efficient.
There is a diner right next door, as well.

A last minute trip from New Hampshire to Western PA for a funeral caused crazy travel times. Needing to stop we found the number here and called. At 10:30 at night, Carol was incredibly courteous and accommodating. We took their last room for the night which was impeccably clean and spacious. The bed was superb and the water pressure for the shower was spot on. When traveling through this area again we will be sure to stop. Thanks again Carol for everything.

A clean hotel with a great location and a very friendly staff.
The Comfort Inn is conveniently located right at the intersection of I-​84. The price is moderate at just over $ 100 a night for one person, but you expect to pay more anyway if you get closer to Lake Wallenpaupack.
The hotel is very clean and there are plenty of amenities. Each room has a fridge and a microwave, which is not always commonplace. The staff is available ²⁴⁄₇ and are very ready and willing to help with anything you may need.
I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels, but those lower prices usually result in a less than satisfactory stay. The Comfort Inn is well worth the price, especially if you are planning a stay for a few nights in the Poconos.
My only complaint is that the wifi just would not work on any device. It randomly connected after several tries, but it quickly dropped out after that.

We stayed at this hotel during the 4^th of July holiday. Very reasonable prices. Great breakfast is included. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It is close to the Lake and we did not have to stay at one of those expensive places right on the lake this place was clean, looks new and the price was just right.

Inexpensive, super clean, dog friendly And updated. Good home away from home with fridge and microwave in every room.
