Have driven by the past two week ends and have found it closed and there is nothing posted as to why or if they will reopen. That is not good.

We came here from the Clayton campground a few miles down the road. When we first got there it seemed almost like they were closed but it turned out that was just the dining room which is generally not open Sunday’s. Mary-Ellen greeted cheerfully and told us it was no problem to let us sit down there. After spending three days at a music festival this was exactly what we needed; wholesome, good tasting food that didn’t break the bank. We split wings for the table which were great warmed up in the microwave later on, other highlights were French onion soup and the burgers. After the meal we shared a cigarette in the bar area and chatted with the regulars for a few minutes. Checking out the menu boards for the rest of the week it looked like they had some really tasty dinner specials.

TACONIGHT!!! 50 cent Monday tacos. They aren’t high class tacos but something about them is soooo good. Meat, cheese, tomato, lettuce on a hardshell. Sour cream extra. There is always bottles of hot sauce floating around the bar. The wings are ginormous and perfectly crisped but the sauce is no good. The mild and hot are bland. Its a very ketchupy sauce. Smoking slowed and on a busy Friday night, it can be very Smokey in the bar. Separate restaurant area for family dinners. Great local bar, mostly older crowd. I love this kind of scene. Friendly staff

Local dive bar with mullet headed locals. Sleezy and smoke infested. This place draws in the North Pocono and Western Wayne type of crowd that never amounted to anything… drinking their blues away. And yes you will find all 3 generations here. I give it 2 stars bc I like their wings and once in a while they get a good act.

Their wings are really good. The hot wings will burn your mouth and the mild are sweet and smooth. You can’t beat the 2 for $ 1 Tacos on Mondays. Drinks are priced right. Karaōke is a fun time on Friday nights.

Bennoco’s is a step back into time. There are at least three generations of Western Wayne High School graduates that inhabit this establishment. It seems as if every one that is still in touch with their high school friends ends up at the bar located in the front of the building. The bar looks like what any typical rural bar would look like. I’m not certain, but they might have a few deer heads on the wall. If not… I wouldn’t be surprised. Ok, so the drinks are dirt cheep. That is one thing I do like about Bennoco’s. On the other hand, the food is below average. Of course there is all the typical frozen and fried food on the menu, but wouldn’t you be able to microwave your own for a lot cheaper? The actual restaurant side of Bennoco’s has a larger selection, but nothing that really stands out. I know a lot of the people that are regulars at this bar since I grew up near the town. So its always a little awkward ordering a drink and having drunken classmates trying to remember your name. Anyway… Bennoco’s is an average bar with cheap drinks and average food. Don’t expect any conversations about politics unless its about NASCAR rules and regulations. In that case, they would be able write a book about it.
