My mom and I rented unit 1256 at The Whaler, and were promised that the construction on the balcony would be finished before we arrived. What a shock it was to walk in and find the living room slider (and therefore the view of Black Rock), blocked out by painter’s wrap. The balcony was unusuable and blocked off by wooden slats. The bedroom had a view until the 6th day of our visit, as which time that entire view was blocked with painter’s wrap as well. My mother was given a laughable 20% refund. What a disappointment.
