Great sandwiches. They are big. We ordered three for the four of us and still have one we haven’t even unwrapped. The Bread is awesome.

I had a sandwich and my wife had a teriyaki plate. Both were very good. Minimal wait and very friendly staff. Be aware it is cash only.

Let’s be honest. On a honeymoon, you’ve got more important things to do than worry about where to eat. Well stop wasting your time reading a million reviews, and check out this place. It’s a great place to stop if you want something quick, yummy, and that won’t break the bank.

Teriyaki beef sandwich… yummmm! Total winner. The bread makes all the difference. It’s a small place but very nice people. Will definitely make this a Maui must next time we visit.

The bread was worth the trip alone, and the rest of lunch didn’t disappoint either. Friendly staff, fresh food, and did I mention delicious bread? I got the Wailea, which had turkey, bacon, avocado, and loads of fresh veggies. My son had a simple ham and cheese and along with a couple of sodas the whole thing was still under $ 20, which is a pleasant surprise on Maui where things are generally expensive. Cash-only(as indicated on Unilocal already) and quite cozy. Grab a table outside and take your time with the best sandwich in Lahaina.

I could give this place 5 stars just for the bread alone!!! Thankfully there are other great aspects to it: local, fresh, affordable and delicious! My favorite kind of place to eat when traveling(locals favorite spots). We had the chicken Teri sandwich and I admit I wasn’t excited to try because i was imagining subway, but this is NO subway, it’s amazing! Softest, most perfect sub loaf I’ve ever had. Teriyaki was very tasty and had that homemade taste you just can’t get at bigger delis. I will definitely be back to try more! Also read a great tip to order sandwiches for the plane.

We were referred to try No Ka Oi Deli by a local we met while on our honeymoon in Maui. It was the best recommendation we got, and we ended up going back multiple times during our stay. The sandwiches are HUGE and can easily be shared, and the bread they use is the most delicious bread I’ve ever tasted. Everything was super fresh, too. However, the real winner was the teriyaki chicken plate lunch. Hands down the best plate lunch we had during our 2 week stay in Hawaii(and trust me, we had a lot of plate lunch/dinners). The chicken melted in your mouth, and the macaroni salad was pretty awesome as well. I’m sad we’re back on the mainland and can’t return for the foreseeable future!

The Teri chicken was amazing!!! Giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because the menu is limited. Other than that, it’s worth the trip!

This place is great. The sandwiches are as good as you can get. The ingredients are all fresh and really good. The tuna is the best on Maui. White albacore and done perfectly. The chicken salad is great. The BLT is generous with bacon and the best I have ever had. Pretty much anything on their menu is good. The owners, are great. Whenever I have company in town, I order a selection of sandwiches and ask Laurie to cut them in fourths. It’s always a big hit. In fact, most times I am asked if the sandwiches are available to take back with them to eat on the plane. They are and they will wrap them special for the plane. My goal is to try everything on the menu. Something I might have already accomplished if I didn’t have certain favorites I continue to order. If you try No Ka Oi Deli, you’ll be happy you did. I only have one problem with this place. I wish they were open later. However, the limited hours keep it special.

You can find yourself spending a lot of money eating out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. To ease the wallet, No Ka Oi Deli serves some decently sized sandwiches, teriyaki platters, saimin and salads at affordable prices. Although the ingredients are all fairly basic, they also provide pictures of all their dishes to help those curious how they are prepared. I ordered the Kapalua Club($ 6.50) which includes Turkey Breast, Ham, Bacon and cheese(Provolone, Swiss, American, etc.) along with sides(lettuce, onions, mayo, and mustard) that are complimentary. The sandwich is pretty sizable at about 8″ long with a basic yet healthy portion of turkey breast, ham, and extra crispy bacon. I found the bread to be slightly mushy at some places(probably because of the mayo) but overall had fresh ingredients and was pretty good. A pencil-sized slice of a pickle is also included on the side. I also tried the Teriyaki Chicken Plate($ 6.50) which includes 2 scoops of rice, 1 scoop of potato crab salad or tossed green salad. The 2 pieces of chicken thighs were well-marinated with a delicious teriyaki sauce making the skin and meat quite tasty, although I found the meat to be overcooked and too chewy at some parts. The rice is prepared on the every so slightly mushy side(I prefer my rice to be on the slightly firm and drier side). The potato crab salad was served at room temperature which I found a bit odd since I believe it was mayo-based. It tasted more like a pasta with slices of black olives than crabmeat(I was advised to not eat the potato salad because it was warm and something seemed a bit off. Advice that I did not take, to which I later got sick from.) A few tidbits to add: Store hours are very short as they are only open 10AM to 2PM on weekdays. Cash only. Bring extra change for tax.
