I came to this restaurant for a need for great Indian food and that is exactly what I got and on top of that received amazing service. The food was flavorful and just a «yummy in my tummy» experience. This is a must go for Indian food.

Best Chicken Briyani I had in recent times. Not even any place in bay area has such good Briyani.

We only ordered one dish, Chicken Tikka Masala, but overall we were underwhelmed. * food took a long time to come out(with only one or two other tables occupied) * so-so décor and overall feel * sweeter flavor than expected for the Tikka Masala My husband and I love Indian food. While he thought it was the flavor was good, I wasn’t impressed– especially with how long it took to come out. Probably won’t be back.

Excellent place to get over your Indian food cravings while in Maui. The paneer masala was excellent. The garlic naan is to die for. There owner Zakir is very hospitable and humble. Glad to have found this place!

I’ve had a lot of Indian food in my life so I know the spices and flavours. But trying this place out left me in flavour heaven. From the first bite to the last it kept me wanting for more. Even though the tummy was full, I wanted to eat more. That’s how good it was. And that is a very rare experience I have with food. We ordered Lamb biryani and Fish kabobs. Both were amazing but the fish kabobs were out of this world. Slightly more spicy than an average north American likes so I would suggest keeping the spices to mild. I went with medium and it was borderline for me. You wouldn’t expect Indian as a recommendation while in Maui, but trust me. You won’t find this flavour anywhere else. It’s heavenly. Highly recommended!

This food was excellent. I love Indian food and this place is amazing. Palak paneer plate and some naan bread. This place is a hidden in Maui. You must seek out if you’re hungry and in the mood for something different. My wife enjoyed a fresh coconut cut open.

Good Indian food right in Front St! We had chicken tikka masala, lamb masala, rice and naan. All dishes were great and had very tasty sauce. Prices were reasonable. Only downside is that they don’t serve any alcohol at all. One odd thing is that the waitress hovered over me while I was filling out the tip amount on the credit card receipt. Not exactly the most polite behavior. I’d come back though, maybe after visiting the bar next door first.

Not a good place at all. We were surprised about the decent reviews. I heard the management or the kitchen staff has changed recently and the food is not good at all. I’m of Indian origin living in California so I know authentic Indian cuisine. This was far from it. The atmosphere is not welcoming at all. Staff was ok. Would not recommend it. If you are craving Indian, go to the one in Kihei.

If you want great Indian food in Hawaii, look no further and come here! I did not expect to find an authentic/close to authentic Indian place in Maui, but I was wrong!!! I am Indian, so I know my Indian flavors, and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered paneer masala(with hot level of spiciness), extra naan and vegetable pakora(totaling to about $ 22-$ 23). Everything was made fresh and from scratch, including paneer. The quantity of the food was great, definitely good for two people. The owner was super friendly and hospitable and even gave us free tea(very kind of him). The service was on-point. This restaurant is also vegetarian-friendly. I would highly recommend coming here and giving it a shot!

As a Indian person after a few days on Maui my wife and I were craving and needed some tasty Indian food. We searched Unilocal and found this restaurant. We were very happy with the food and service. This restaurant is located on the lower floor of the wharf mall in Lahaina. There is indoor and outdoor seating next to a little pond. Very good atmosphere and ambience. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Fish Masala, garlic naan and roti. The entrees come with a small bowl of rice. The roti was a bit under cooked, told the chef and he sent out hot naan for us. The garlic naan and the plain naan was super good. They were thin crispy and perfect chewy. Highly Recommend getting naan. The chicken and fish were very good. the fish is whatever the fresh fish the chef gets from the harbor that day. The fish was so soft and fell apart and was super moist. The curry was very good flavor for both dishes. Took the leftovers back to the room and has it was lunch the next day and they tasted even better! We will go back.

Four stars on Unilocal?!? I had the worst tea of my life and pakoras were not good either. However, lassi was fine. Worst of all, the lady serving us was indifferent and very disinterested to take our order. I was really pissed off and i ended up paying no tip. FYI, you do get good Indian food in Hawaii but looks like these guys need some competition to get better.

I was on a 6 days trip to Maui and went to this amazing place 5 days back to back. I found the food amazing and the ambiance outside was pretty nice as well. I tried bunch of paneer curies, Chana masala, biryany, tea, garlic naan, onion kulcha and other items and found all of them very delicious. This is a totally authentic Indian place and taste of food reminds me of home. I was glad to find this place during my stay in Maui.

I am sorry to have to say this because I love Indian food and wanted this place to succeed because we go to Maui yearly and keep a veg diet. This simply was the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The food came out burnt and unnecessarily greasy. Some of it was actually burnt and cold. The place was very dirty and smelled of rancid oil. Waitstaff was burned out and not thinking about their work and it was hard to get their attention. The vibe was very weird and uncomfortable. It it very unfortunate because I think this is the only Indian restaurant on our side of the island. I think a family that owns this place owns another Indian restaurant way further south and that place is pretty good actually, but we rarely get to that side of the island. Sorry for the bad review, maybe it was an off night, but it was so bad I’m reluctant to go there again.

Expect a similar experience to Indian food at a mall. Location: 3⁄5 downstairs in a food court. It was nice sitting outside. The inside of the restaurant was ok’ish. Service: 3⁄5 not bad. Speed: 3⁄5 about 20 minutes is Price: 1⁄5 very over priced for what it is. Close to $ 17 free dish or mall quality food is not good value. Food: Aloo tikki: 1⁄5 wish I had read the reviews first. Mushed fried potatoes. Veggie sambosa: 1⁄5 same above but with peas. Naan: 2⁄5 $ 3.25 for a small plain naan; yikes! It’s not tandoori naan either. Butter chicken: 3⁄5 a little bland bit not bad overall. Rice: 1⁄5 Overall: not recommended unless you are very unfamiliar with Indian food.
