Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt

No worth it.

Went here today after a nice Thai lunch. I typically have dessert after I eat anything whether I am full or not. My friend suggested that she enjoyed this the last time she came so we decided to stop by and see if it struck our fancy. I decided to try it. I got a mini cup which was very cute. Haha. I went with the mint and got chocolate snow caps as a topping which was good but felt it was too much for the mini. I liked how they put the frozen yogurt then your topping then more on top.
I guess I am not into frozen yogurt as much as I used to be. But the service was not too bad and the place was nice. I may stop by again sometime.

Loved this place when it was the only option in the yogurt world. But then there was Yogurtland, and a myriad of other locations, and made me realize that the taste here is bland.
The options are limited, and over priced for toppings.
I personally like the idea and when I’m in the mood for yogurt, it works, but its not the best at all.

This review is referable to the yogurt flavor options. they never change! And they’re the crappiest flavors too. 2 kinds of cherry! Come on! They really need to switch their flavors out more often and get better flavors in order to keep up with the competition. I come here every Sunday and the past 2 weeks the flavors are the exact same. I left and went to yogurt land instead!

I’ve been coming to this location before it was ever a Golden Spoon, and to this day I still love it. I go to Yogurtland a lot because it is self serve, and I am a toppings freak, and Golden Spoon charges you by the topping. But I still head over here now and again because they do have delicious yogurt, and always a good balance of flavors.

Hadn’t been to this place in a while and went in last night around 9p because we were craving it. The heavy set lady behind the counter was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. She had no customer service skills. We felt rushed and unwelcome. I doubt we will be coming back. It’s a shame because we live so close.

If I’m not at yogurt land I’m at golden spoon. Still love their yogurt. Staff at this location is very friendly. Yogurt is always good and tasty. Never had an issue and I visit frequently.

They usually have decent flavors here. They never really go over & beyond though. I feel they just do the minimum (or below) to get by. My husband went in to get me yogurt last night & the girl working told him a bunch of the flavors were «too soft» so he got me old fashion vanilla. Fine. But that was wicked soft! If it’s gonna be soft gimme the flavor I want! They are so stingy with topping portions too. Staff is usually pretty nice here but that’s so annoying. We’ve been going to this location for many years cause it’s so close. Otherwise I’d probably try somewhere else.

There was a time when I was here every day! My favorite place for yogurt! I’ve not been in a while however, and decided to go this evening. I was kind of suprised that they don’t have the usual Golden Spoon cups (like they use in Ocean Ranch) and now use a small generic cup. So smaller portion, but the prices increased a dollar. That’s just about 25%. Nice staff, same great product, but the price increase coupled with the smaller portion, not so good. Will drive to Ocean Ranch instead.

So, we used to go to the Golden Spoon several times a week when we lived in San Diego. When we moved to North OC, there was not one close by, so when we landed here in Laguna Niguel, we were very excited to see there was one here… within walking distance of our home!
We have made several visits and each time, the restaurant has been exceptionally clean… and smelled clean. The topping buffet appeared to be meticulously cared for and was clean as well. Great flavor selections (would like to see more options in low-​fat). So far, I have only tried the vanilla, cake batter, and chocolate — all of which were very good. The staff has always been very friendly. A little more seating outside (an extra chair or two) would be nice.

Horrible service! We received a coupon for a free mini from a local community event and went in to use it. We were buying three other ice creams. The cashier took it and we paid for our additional ice cream. After we already paid, another woman walked over and said it was the wrong location. She made the cashier ring me up for an additional $ 2.50…she probably paid more for the use of my credit card! She was very rude about it. She lost my business over $ 2.50!

This place kind of feels like an old-​fashioned ice cream parlor, in that the staff is very friendly, happy to give you samples and make suggestions. One worker there even said «Let me make you my masterpiece! I’ve been working on it for days!» How could I pass that up?
It was three different flavors and he meshed them in such a creative and pretty way. Who knew fro-​go could be so fun?
Good place for the family to get some chill on.

Very courteous staff and always my favorite neighborhood spot to grab some frozen yoghurt while on the go. They’ll let you sample any flavor before ordering a full portion. Great place!

They have great flavors always changing.

They are nice to our little one, and have the standard assortment of flavors and toppings.

This is how you run a business. The staff is attentive and friendly. They overfill portions, so you feel you’re getting everything you pay for, plus some. This location is pristine and orderly. The staff is more than willing to answer questions about calories and nutritional information. It’s worth the extra drive to get treated as a valued customer at THIS location.

definitely NOT stingy with toppings OR yogurt! the staff was very nice, as well! a tad bit difficult to find as you can’t see it from CV, but worth looking for it (in the Ralph’s section of the shopping center).
