First time here I got a BLTA sandwich on sourdough bread and it was amazing and stacked with crispy bacon and fresh avocado

Great place for a breakfast sandwich, donuts or a deli sandwich. Close to my house and the staff is always friendly and service is quick and easy. I always grab something to go but they do have quite a few tables if you’d like to eat in. The croissant with sausage egg and cheese is my favorite and you can’t go wrong with a bagel breakfast sandwich either. Prices are good and it’s a clean quiet environment.

After checking out a few donut shops in the area, my vote is for Donut Star! I wanted to try a cronut after reading all of the reviews about them. Now I’m hooked! This place also has the best french crullers. Service is friendly and there is a decent selection even in late afternoon. Prices are about the same as most other shops around. I’ve already been back a few times. I definitely recommend it.

Not impressed! Save your time and money. The girls behind the counter are beyond unfriendly. Super rude. The donuts are nothing to write about. My husband got a breakfast panini and there was nothing special to it. We are going to stick with our other donut place Mission Donuts on Crownvalley and Golden Lantern from now on.

Fresh tasting donuts, but they’re a little more expensive than I think they should be.

I waited in the car while my boyfriend ran into Donut Star this morning to grab us a chocolate bar. He was greeted by a very rude young Mexican lady who took one look at my handsome man and blurted out«WHATHAPPENEDTOYOURFACE?» He has a port wine stain birthmark so he’s been asked this his entire life. He responded with«what happened? Well, 29 years ago I was… born. It’s a birthmark.» Now, when normal people realize that they’ve just insulted a person by asking what happened to his face they immediately appear embarrassed and quickly apologize. NOTTHEGIRLATTHECOUNTERATDONUTSTAR. She responded with«oh, it’s just looks like you got punched in the face.» No apology. Completely rude and insulting. The donut was decent, the service was horrendous. I’m just glad I wasn’t there with him because I would have punched HER in the face.

Ok since the first time I was there they seem to have a game plan. Much more organized and my favorite is the apple fritter warm out of the oven… THEBOMB!

This place is great! The donuts are tasty and often times they give away freebies with your order.

Totally disappointed. This is twice now that we’ve gone on a Sunday to get donuts and they taste stale. I’ve come other days during the week and they’re fresh. But Sunday’s, I think they sell day old donuts. If they want to sell day old, then they should keep them in a separate case & label«day old donuts». Spending $ 7 for 6 donuts is not worth it. Blah!

Had a breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño bagel with chive cream cheese– amazing! The donuts always look amazing– it’s a great little treat every time I go there. It takes a great amount of restraint not to buy a dozen donuts when I walk in and those glorious sweet smells pleasantly invade my nostrils– but I am a pillar of will power I’m sure my control will wane one of these days if they keep baking those delicious treats!

Glaze Donut: Big, fluffy, and well glazed. It doesn’t taste as good as the other glaze donuts. It is too sweet for my taste buds. My son had a sprinkle donut. I don’t think they put enough sprinkles for him. He ate it. I will assume it taste good. The was overall pretty clean. Each donut $ 1.00. The size of my glaze donut was larger than normal. The twist donuts were pretty big too. Came here after visiting Dana Point for a quick sweet snack.

I love coming here but what disappointed me was that I couldn’t buy a sandwich because the girl that«makes» them was on her break and she would be back in 30 min. Like really?! But then she turns around and makes a sandwich for someone else! Are you kidding me? I love this place, I come often-ish! Lol. Point is I’ll drive here over other places!

Trust me when I say, I reallllly wanted to love this place. It’s new, local, and they have a great selection of items on there menu. BUT, when you’re excited for chocolate donuts, and find a partial blue berry muffin inside, 1) It’s not what I was expecting 2) It’s not a pleasant taste 3) Makes me wonder how lazy the employees are while making muffins, donuts, etc… or cleaning the pans, pots, etc for that matter. and if #3 isn’t the issue, than 4) Maybe you should advertise to the person that you’re selling the item too that there is BLUEBERRIES in it.(if you are not labeling your items) Because a chocolate icing, chocolate cake donut, looks like a chocolate icing, chocolate cake donut. Not a blueberry donut, or mix of a blueberry donut. Sorry for my hate of blueberries, but this seriously ruined my morning. I most likely won’t return, because the cleanliness will haunt me.

Environment: In a quiet little shopping plaza located in Laguna Niguel. No bathroom here! Food: I got the grilled chicken croissant sandwich and it was SO good. Avocado just ripe enough too. Next time I’m going to try the BLTA sammich. Price: I thought 7 $ was a little pricey for a donut shop sandwich but the portions were spot on. Overall: SO excited that I found this. I had almost given up all hope in this plaza and boom! this appears. I will definitely be coming back again.
