We purchased a pair of blue high top vans for my daughter 2 months ago. Within a week or two the fabric on the right shoe became completely discolored and faded. The right shoe was fine. We took the shoe in on 04−13−15 and showed proof of purchase. I explained to the manager, an Asian male with black skinny jeans, that we just wanted the defective shoes replaced. He was surprised when I showed him proof of purchase from the online store so he asked if we still had the box, I told him we didn’t keep the box because I didn’t anticipate the shoe being defective. He then asked what my daughter did to make it fade and I told him she didn’t do anything to make one shoe fade, while maintaining the or one in perfect condition. He looked at the soles of the shoes which were in perfect condition so he had nothing to say there. It was obvious that he did not want to exchange my shoes and was desperately looking for a reason to send me on my way. After a few more questions he went to the back of the store and came back with a new pair in the box. He took the new pair out of the box, put my defective pair inside and said, «I will only do this one time.» No eye contact and obviously pissed off he walked to the back of the store with the box of old shoes, leaving my wife and I on the showroom floor by ourselves. Sweet customer service bro, are you kidding me? My wife thanked me for being there and said had I not been she would have probably been intimidated into leaving without the exchange. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the exchange was done, albeit it under poor customer service circumstances. Nickel’s worth of free advice to the manager, when you put out an awesome product like Vans shoes does no one expects all of your products to come out perfect. So when one stinking shoe has an obvious defect, man up and take responsibility for it. It’s the right thing to do.

I had simply pulled off of the freeway to find a place to use the bathroom. Well I found a McDonalds that happened to be located right next to this Vans store. As a kid growing up in South Africa I became a fan of both Chuck Taylors & Vans the two sets of shoes I still wear to this day. I have recently busted through the bottom of soles of my beloved blue Vans. This was probably caused from years and years of foot breaking when taking on a hill or two=) I figured what were the chances that off all the places I would have stopped that a Vans store would be located within eye shot. I took this is a sign and decided to walk in and take a look around. How could you go wrong purchasing a pair of shoes that Jeff Spicoli wears in one of the greatest movies of all time? Those who know me know I live by one rule ‘WWSD’(What would Spicoli do). This Vans store is located within a small little strip mall right off of the 5 freeway. So if you are traveling North or South on the 5 this location is easily accessible. I found the store itself to be the right size. The staff working was extremely helpful and no matter the shoes and sizing the right fit the staff working during my visit was more than helpful and assisted my every need. I found the right pair of shoes within minutes and was out the door with a smile on my face heading toward my final destination. I am super stoked with my purchase; Vans have never and will never let me down. I did forget to pick up a couple of Vans stickers for an art project but I make so many trips to San Diego that chances are I will stop by here again soon. If you happen to be in the area of this location and looking for a new pair of shoes do not give it a second thought pull off the freeway and visit this location today, you will glad you did.

Went in this location looking for a specific shoe for my daughter and although they did not have it(older style), every one of the employees gave me options to find it. Great customer service. I ended up finding it in Orange thanks to them.

Nothing against the employees here, the 2 stars is based purely on the poor quality of these shoes. Simple fact is they fall apart much faster than other brands. Your kids want to be stylish which is fine but be forewarned you will get a month out of Vans shoes so be ready to fork over good money for shoes that fall apart.

Haiku employee review: Vans master Kiefer // Hattori Hanzo of shoes // Helped find perfect fit This hidden shop has a way better experience than what you would find in a mall. Really chill employees who know a lot about their products. Kiefer respected my budget and helped me find some cool shoes based on the general styles I described to him.

First time at this place. Nice people. The sales woman was very helpful. I ended up getting the skateboard style shoe because of the comfort. Great shoes. I was going to go the classic style because I love it but this style looks good too. So I would come back here in a minute to buy another pair or socks, etc.
