Quite the gem! I feel that in this industry it is difficult to come across a workshop like this. I feel there are many workshops out there that charge a high price and aren’t even run by people who have worked as actors. The Actors Workshop is the exception. RJ and Rob are both very experienced actors that understand the industry and prepare you for work. Along with this knowledge comes technique. We learn to communicate and listen through concentration on the other actor which allows us to behave naturally. This workshop has broken down all mental walls I’ve had as an actor. The confidence and understanding I have gained from this workshop are essential to me. On top of all this, it’s crazy how affordable it is. For twice a week, three hours each class(participating, absorbing through watching others work and asking any questions that come to mind) it’s only a couple hundred. PERMONTH. NOTTOMENTION, FREE workshops that well-renowned casting directors and agents come to watch. Honestly, this doesn’t happen anywhere else, I’ve looked. I look forward to each class, I feel comfortable there, and I know that I can go to RJ and Rob for any advice or questions. I am so fortunate to have come across this workshop. You won’t be disappointed!

R.J. and Rob Adams has changed my entire view on what«acting» is really about, for the better. I recommend The Actors Workshop to anyone who wants to better their craft! The technique is only reinforced by some of the best actors out there talking the same language. There is also a location in North Hollywood which is great if the Laguna Hills workshop is too much of a drive.

Love this class… I can’t watch a movie or TV show anymore without watching for if someone is doing the techniques they teach us in class. The great actors are doing it; the mediocre/bad ones are not. And it’s simple stuff, too, for instance, the eyes! I get a recording of my scenes I do, which is nice b/c that way I can watch it at home to see what the camera sees so I know what areas need improvement. The critiques in class are good, not a bunch of, «Oh, you were just wonderful,» when you really were awful. On the other hand, they’re not too harsh either. They tell it like it is but do it in such a way as if to make you want to improve.
