My husband and I have eaten here five or six times. The restaurant is always clean, it’s very close to the freeway, and the customer service is excellent. My usual order is the bowl, with chicken, jalapeño hummus, rice, spinach and red onion salad, and tabouleh. I’ve never had a bad meal! The reason I’m writing my review today and something happened yesterday at the restaurant when we had dinner that merits a special review. My husband arrived approximately 30 minutes before the rest of us for dinner and worked at a table outside. After ordering our food we all came outside and ate together. Approximately four hours later(11PM) we realized that he left his briefcase with his laptop on the outside patio! We were a little stressed about it. This morning, I went to the store at about 9:00 — they didn’t open until 10:30 but I figured it was worth a try. There was a man in the store and I explained what happened. He didn’t speak English so I did what anyone in my position would do — I Googled it! I used Google Translate to say what had happened and then played the translation for him. He got a huge smile on his face and nodded«yes» that he knew what I was asking about. He ran to get the manager. The manager escorted me to the register area and explained that he didn’t usually work at this location but that he’d try to assist me. Imagine my total surprise when the briefcase was safely tucked behind the register! So HUGE props to Pita Pita for not only having awesome food but for having honest and kind staff members who did the right thing!

Angel was so helpful in explaining the menu to my grandmother with Alzheimer’s. It can be frustrating sometimes but he was very patient. Also the food was delicious! Thank you!!!

I love this place. It’s the first time I’ve been there and they were so helpful and super polite. The food was fresh and outstanding. The only bad part was the rail in front of the register that almost ripped my pants. Please take it out. It’s a liability to the restaurant and a danger to child that would hit there heads on it. Other than that… outstanding and I will be coming back.

Walked in and thought I was at Chipotle… Same set up only for Mediterranean food. I met a buddy here for lunch and I had the gyro combo. You get a ton of fries and they are huge. Very filling. The gyro meat was ok. I like to include some feta in my gyro but I don’t think that was offered. At $ 10 for the meal with a drink it wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t the best Med food I’ve eaten. As the 3 stars would indicate, it was just A-Ok.

Moderately healthy food if you choose your bowls correctly. I was out in Laguna Hills for a class and stumbled upon this business casual lunchery, they offered Chipotle-style bowls and pockets. The multitude of options available was pretty overwhelming at first(so many different types of hummus, salads, rices, etc.) but I took a chance with the Greek Salad/Tabbouleh/red pepper hummus/lentil and chicken bowl and it didn’t turn out too bad. Had I not ordered the hummus, the bowl would have been pretty dry, and feta wasn’t really an option because they charged more for that(boo). Overall it was a guilt-free meal and my fiancée enjoyed his Gyro/Fries/Drink meal for $ 10. I’d probably visit this place again if I was in the area, but nothing to really crave for.

Omg I absolutely love the new salads they have. The potatoes with light lemon dressing is amazing. !!! Affordable, fulfilling, delicious. Can’t wait to get my hands on the chicken bowl with lentil rice and salad. Yummm. Highly recommend the fries and the cilantro hummus.

My favorite place to go to for lunch. You order through a glass partition similar to Subways/Chipotle so you know exactly what you’re getting. The portion is fairly large so I usually just get the pita sandwich with a side of rice pudding for dessert. I recommend coming here for you Mediterranean food lover.

Amazing lamb kabob. I had it with two sides of hummus on a spinach salad instead of rice, so good light and healthy. My son 10yo ordered Italian Flatbread and ate most of it. We will be back.

The falafel was one of the worst I’ve had sadly. The pita was freshly baked, but also very tough and hard. I like pitas that are fluffy and soft. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

All I can say is the food had a ton of flavor. We all ordered the kafta kabob plate. Both had Greek salad and spinich salad as sides. Excellent.

WORSEEXPERIENCEEVER! Number 1 they served me the rice very cold! Number 2 when I went up to the Cashier, the Owner/Manager came and he was hearing me talking about how the rice was very cold and he got really upset, he started telling me how they served me «too much meat» Then I say, I didn’t know what the portion supposed to be, Then I say can I just have a pita wrap, he got even more upset! And then with a really dirty look he took my receipt and said I’m gonna have to charge you extra, because I asked getting fries instead of the«two sides» that came with the bowl originally, the Manager/owner, he got worse and worse, had a pretty bad attitude and I felt like this was my fault instead of getting a solution I was getting pressure to pay extra to get my food right! And to top it off they had charges me $ 4 extra for 2pieces of pita bread which I had never asked in the first place and they weren’t clear if it came or not with my original order. OVERALL, this has been my worse experience ever! For a place like this and charging the prices they have, I would expect them to be more kind and be whiling to fix any concerns for their customers! Be aware! They don’t make any exceptions!!! However the guys that serve the food, they were extremely nice! Too bad the owner it’s a total JERK!

Price is a bit high at times but I enjoy the specials that they have from time to time. Usually a basic pita with fries and a drink. Makes for a quick lunch. Worth the chill and quick service to go an little before lunch rush.

The food was excellent. Way better than the Garbanzo(across the street that closed down) and others. Veggie pita was awesome and my husband first thought the falafel was a bit dry, but it got better further down — maybe they should include a little sauce to go with it. Delicious on the whole — would definitely recommend. They could keep the place a little cleaner, I thought, especially since there were not that many customers.

When we came to pita barf oh sorry pita pita we waited in line and we had to wait for the gyro to refill. The man helping us was rude. My son got his pita and they was barley any gyro in it. The worker then accused us of lying to him. Savage. Not coming back this place is horrible. This place needs Jesus

I enjoy Mediterranean food of all all types. Saw that this place opened in Laguna HIlls by one of my favorite donut places and decided to check it out. This fairly large, casual restaurant is an order at the counter and sit down and get your food kinda place. While perusing the overhead menu boards, I started to take pictures of the menu and dining and area and proceeded to get yelled at Soup Nazi style by one of the staff members behind the counter. He said to me that it was against company policy to have pictures taken in the restaurant. OK. I am a Unilocaler who takes a million pictures when out eating. Even fellow Unilocal friends tell me I take a lot of pictures of stuff when they are out with me ;) I was taken aback and because it was kinda yelled at me, I asked him, well can I take pictures of my food I order? He said, yes. Well, anyway, I ordered and sat down a bit bewildered. I ordered the Falafel Pita Combo. This came with two sides. I chose Greek Salad and Jalapeño Hummus with this. This was good but the falafel was a little on the dry side. The Greek Salad and Jalapeño Hummus with the accompanying pita bread was good. My fiancé ordered the Gyro Pita Combo with Greek Salad and Red Pepper Hummus. He got pita chips with his meal. The pita chips were a little on the burnt side. I liked the red pepper hummus on this plate better than my jalapeño hummus. His gyro pita was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Prices for the combos were ordered were a bit on the high side for the quality and amount of food on these plates. It is ironic, because basically a week after I visited this restaurant, I saw Pita Pita post on Facebook, please post your pictures of our restaurant to our social media sites. I responded to them about the chastising I received about taking pictures when I first arrived in the restaurant and they said that was old company policy and that was incorrect for the staff member to tel me that and to take as many pictures as I wanted and post away. Well, it would have been nice if the employees would have been informed of this. I wasn’t going to originally post said pictures I was told I couldn’t take but as I got the green light here, they are now posted. We arrived early for dinner here and there were not that many patrons in the restaurant but the server that first attended to us was not very friendly. This place was just so-so for me for many reasons. With the many great Mediterranean food options available to me in South Orange County, I am not sure I will be back unless food value and quality becomes a bit better here and service is amped up a bit.

This place is pretty good, I just had the gyro salad and I really enjoyed it. I like the many diet drink options it goes well with my eating demands. The line was long so there are quite a few that like it as much as I do. Definitely try this place out you will not be disappointed.

This place is sssoooooo yummy and the price is not bad for what you get… I gave it five stars because they are all so nice and the food is bomb, but only one of the guys working here seems to know what is going on… It takes a long ass time to get your order if there are more than 2 people in line. I really do like the food and all the staff is nice but i hope they will be better organized at some point so it does not take so long just to get through the line. I recommend trying it!!!

5 Stars for sure, but the price is a little bit high. The food here is killer and the staff is great. The new locations looks amazing and whats even better is I live 2 minutes away! The pita bread is fresh out of the oven and the hummus is the bomb. If you get a full pita with 2 sides of hummus, 1 jalapeño and 1 red peper. It’s a ton of food and its really amazing!

I come here for a quick lunch/dinner to go. I love the lamb pita and get it as a combo so I can get more pita with tzaziki. I also like the mint lemonade(which remind me a mint julep :)). I’ve always had good service and it’s nice that the pitas are freshly made. My only complaint is that they«stack» the ingredients into the pita, so there isn’t an even distribution of food in each bite. It’s definitely better than other places like daphne’s.

Disappointed. I’ve been coming to this location since it open & been very satisfied until today. 1.) The gyro was super super dry but normally it wasn’t, had to drink lots of water to get it down. All my onions were at the bottom of my sandwich & didn’t realize it until i took a big bite of just onions, yuck! So there was no thought into creating my sandwich as normally they would have. 2.) The staff seemed disorganized & unfriendly under pressure. There was only 1 person infront of me &1 person behind me. Seems like there needs to be a lead. 3.) The new menu signs are a bit plain & boring, I like the feel of the old menu signs & logo. *Dear owner I want to see your business succeed, so please take my complaints as a way to better your business. Now that you open a location in Aliso Viejo please don’t forget about the Laguna Hills location. Thank you!

Slightly obsessed and it’s only my first time here ! You have the option of ½ or whole pita stuffed with your choice of meat, lentil rice or white rice and toppings. I opted for the«chipotle style» bowl and had chicken, lentil rice, bhabaganoush(grilled eggplant), greek salad, onions, red pepper hummus and feta in a square bowl. It is not only visably appealing — it was fucking delicious. I think the chicken would be better if it was grilled, with actual char or a little lemon pepper flavor to keep with the Mediteranean theme but still very tasty ! Customer service was excellent and they were smiling(which is rare during a lunch rush) and since it was my first time, they were ok with my 100 questions. I went about 1pm and there really wasnt a crowd. I will most definitley be back and have some pita — which I think should come with the meal.

I come here if I’m craving mediterranean food during lunch. I’ve only tried the bowls here. It’s chipotle-style mediterranean food. You get a choice of rice or lentils. Getting half of each was an option. I really like the lentils, but I havent had it anywhere else before so I can’t compare it. Gyro bowl — gyro was so salty… I could not enjoy it. :(minus one star. Chicken bowl — Chicken was good and tasty. I think they have four different types of hummus, regular, spicy, cilantro, and red pepper. All pretty good. Overall I think the food is pretty fresh and tasty.

LOVE the new location in Aliso Viejo — near the theaters and Barnes & Noble. Beautifully decorated and well set up for the customer. Be sure to sit on the patio and enjoy the wood tables and overhead twinkling lights. I’ve been a few times and each time I find something fantastic. My favorites are the spinach salad — light lemon and olive oil dressing — perfect amount. Jalapeño hummus with pita chips or straight pita is great — side is enough for 2. Gyros pita is the best I have ever had — I like to add the spicy pickle too and the mint lemonade is cravable.

Decent gyro but I’ve had better. I came in here for lunch and the place was hopping. When there’s a crowd I suggest eating out side as this place was designed inside to be loud which I’m cool with. So the place is new and hip. But I was expecting to be wowed by food and that didn’t happen. I guess I’d come back if I was in the area, hungry and craving Mediterranean food.

I really like the chicken pita sandwich, but I wish they had more consistency. Each employee seems to make the chicken pita sandwich differently. They never make it the same way. Sometimes they give you the slice of bread they cut off the top, sometimes they don’t(I’m always disappointed when they don’t). Sometimes they do 2 layers of lettuce and tomatoes, sometimes only 1. Sometimes it’s jammed packed with chicken and I’m stuffed afterwards, and other times it’s a baby pita sandwich with barely anything in it. Also, I wish they mixed all of the fixings better together. In the pita bread, they layer chicken, sauce, tomato, pickles, and lettuce, then chicken. Because it’s layered, and not tossed together, you mostly have bites that are solely chicken, or mostly just sauce, and none of the other ingredients. I want each bite to have a little bit of each fixing. The restaurant is packed at lunch time, and empty at dinner time. I wish they listed the ingredients on their menu… like what comes in the Steak Bowl? What comes on the Lamb Pita Plate? What’s on the Meat Pizza? They should at least have the descriptions listed on the paper menus or their website… I don’t want to have to ask an employee about every single menu option, and I’m sure the employees are sick of answering these questions too.

OOOH I am so glad I tried this place. Came here for a quick lunch and got their pita with chicken. I LOOOVE their garlic sauce and cilantro hummus. Next time I am coming back to try their jalapeño hummus! Yumm! One thing I noticed though, their side salads are waaaay too salty. Omg. I took a bite of their spinach salad and it was beyond salty. the other salad wasn’t as salty with the tomatoes and stuff but it was still salty imo. I would definitely come back again to try their other items. Tip: + Half size is big + Full size is HUGE + you can ask for samples of their hummus

P-ita bread is baked in a wood stone oven just minutes before your order is assembled. This is Pita Pita’s signature and selling point — pita prepared much more fresh than chain California-Greek eateries. I-ncludes vegetarian and vegan-friendly options on the menu. The veggie pita is filled with carefully grilled vegetables which are slightly on the oily side, but equally as savory as the non-vegetarian varieties. T-he falafel is baked instead of fried, which is more wholesome but does not produce a crispy outer shell that makes eating these bite-size balls a treat. A-dvertised boldly as «seriously fresh» but seriously, falafels and meats for the pitas are cooked in advanced and are served from a steam table. «Fresh» at Pita Pita is defined as «not-frozen». The sides taste like they were made on the same day though. P-robably will not be returning very often as $ 10+ for a light fast-food lunch is out of my budget. Wish Pita Pita could include affordable lunch combos on the menu. I-nattentive servers burned my manakeesh before, must not be a popular item as they forgot about it in the oven for over 20 minutes. I did receive a replacement but not after my dining companions had already finished their lunch. T-abbouleh was dry, but tastes refreshing and has a unique sour-citrus-mint profile. Possibly Pita Pita’s most bold tasting cold side. A-ttracts a very large and diverse lunch crowd since there are very few health-oriented or decent food options within a mile radius. Expect a 15 to 20 minute queue during lunch hours on Fridays.
