Mountain Mike’s Pizza

We had a group of 10 meeting for dinner. We’ve gone before & grabbed the private room in the back because it’s already set up for large parties. We’ve never had to make a reservation for that room & were able to grab a big table as long as it was available.
The last time we went (a Tuesday in Sept), we grabbed the party room table as usual. After we received our food, we were told a private party was arriving in an hour & we couldn’t stay in that room. Because we already had our food & some of us started eating already, we asked if we could stay & we would clean up & leave as soon as the party arrived. The man in charge said we had to move tables. We could’ve finished our dinner within that hour but he asked us to move anyways. Why bring the food & then inconvenience the guests by making them move their food to other tables? Because the dining room tables are booths, we had to sit across from each other & conduct our meeting with some challenges talking across the aisle. Our meeting lasted longer than usual, and upon leaving, the group that was going in the room never showed up. We’re pretty sure the man just didn’t want us in there because we didn’t reserve it. Reservations for that party room is a first come first serve basis so it didn’t make sense to kick us out. Now there are 10 of us who have decided to take our business elsewhere because the man was so rude.

Worst customer service I have ever received! Apparently there has been new ownership at this location and the menu for the breadsticks had changed from the typical poppyseed and cheese to garlic chunks and cheese. I am allergic to garlic and cannot eat chunks of garlic. I was unaware on my Togo phone order that the menu item had changed. Upon arriving I saw that the item was different and explained I couldn’t eat it. Because I was passing through from San Diego I asked for a refund because I could not eat the product and had to leave for my meetings which wouldn’t allow me time to eat anything else. I was denied any sort of refund and yelled at by the so called owner David. The poor blonde girl at the front desk was trying her best to be polite and accommodating while her boss just yelled at me repeating «well if it’s only $ 9 why does it matter, what am I suppose to do throw this away?» I will never stop here again. This has been my passing through food for six years and it ends today. You lost a customer over $ 9, I will gladly take my business elsewhere and make sure I never refer anyone to eat at this location. There is a Mountain Mikes up the road in Lake Forest, I suggest you go to that one instead!

Well, I did not have the unfortunate run-​in with the manager, so I give 5 stars for great pizza and service! Yummy pizza and wings, and great service! We went on a weeknight, and they had a $ 10 one-​topping large pizza special, plus 2 wings for $ 1.00… and they brought Ranch and Veggies on the side for free:)

I placed an order for take out for 2 pizzas and a large wedge. It was my first time here. The wedge was pretty big and was only $ 4.99 very good, but the pizza was pricey. It was good pizza, and it was ready In 20 mins which is quick since they seemed busy because it was Friday. I would probably only come back if I had another coupon. Lol

Good pizza. I like the veggie pizza — it has artichokes on it. Yum! They have a party room in the back that is perfect for team parties. There is even some cute padded outdoor seating.

Yummy pizza! Fun environment and very friendly staff that kept checking up on us. We had a fantastic half pepperoni & sausage and half pineapple/​ham pizza!

First time eating here in about sixth months and I gotta ask, what happened? Their pizza was always pricey but also pretty tasty. However the pizza we got tonight was terrible. The crust was so thick and dense and bready it was inedible. If this is how their pizza tastes now, I’m never going back.

The manager is a complete jerk. He screwed up our order and we had to wait 20 minutes for them to redo it and they wouldn’t even let us have a slice of the one he screwed up. We were starving and needed to eat but he told us the best he could do was make us pay for both. I feel like he was going to throw the pizza away anyway so why couldn’t we have like a slice so we aren’t as hungry?! Another thing is the pizza is way overpriced. $ 15 for a small pizza? Ridiculous.

I called twice to make an order for delivery and they did not answer and I’m 100% sure they are open on a Thursday night at 6 pm. Very bad service.

I’m pretty sure the only word that the people who work here know is the word «no». I have never had this bad customer service anywhere.

I guess David is the name of the owner. He hung up on me and is the biggest asshole! Their pizza is overpriced.

It’s pizza, of course it’s tasty. Pepperoni is especially good. Thicker and smaller than I’ve had elsewhere.
Employees have always been kind to me. Where they lose me is the owner. This guy is a real jerk! No idea why, as I was polite and patient with him. Seriously dude, be nice or prepare to lose customers!

Just ordered for delivery today. Got the chicken tenders which were good, but got the large Feldy pizza and it’s amazing!!! Used to go to papa johns and now I’ll begin taking my money here instead!

Family friendly, decent pizza, clean and friendly staff. Not sure why its so hard to find a decent place to sit down and have a pizza but here is a place worth trying. Chicken wings were a bit less done than I prefer.

I really liked this Mountain Mikes. They have unique deals everyday of the week and Sunday you can pick from any of Mon-​Sat deals. The pizza looks and tastes fresh and flavorful. I got an Everest classic combination. They have several specialty pizzas and of course, CYO. The kiddos got cheese. Hey, more of the good one for me. There is a small salad bar with most of my favorites. Roundtable is better, though.
The place is clean inside. There are several TVs so you have a view regardless of where you sit unless you are in the party room. They have a small arcade and some prize arcade games which seem to have decent odds as while we sat there at least 3 people won from the wheel of fortune and one from the Claw game. I see there are some bad reviews including for rude employees but the guy who helped us couldn’t have been nicer. Food came out in 10 minutes. There was a decent crowd.
The pizza was great, but not perfect. The sausage looked really good and homemade, but didn’t have the Italian sausage flavor I like and am used to. Maybe it is fresh made with good ingredients and i’m used to the more processed kind.
Prices are high, but there are the deals, coupons in the mail and online if you sign up.
This store is by the new Dunkin Donuts and that’s where we headed next.

We waited over five minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us and the pizza was soggy and disgustingly greasy. It had potential but I just couldn’t get over the «dampness» and the grease!

My wife and I were in the area, and decided to try Mountain Mikes. We always drive by the Lake Forest location, but have never stopped in. With an appointment close to the Laguna Hills location, it was merely 100 ft away! Perfect! We got to the door at 11:00am, and as the sign stated «opens at 11:00am». We waited for a few minutes and still no open door, the heaters were still on «lockdown» inside the restaurant with no employees in sight. We waited till 11:10 and called off the «want» to try Mountain Mikes. Well, that was your chance… lost a customer and we never even got to step inside!
Wow! After reading some of the reviews, I’m glad we didn’t get let in! Robert Irvine, Where are you??? Mt Mikes in Laguna hills needs you bad!!!

I have eaten in several MM’s Pizza Restaurants and would easily rate them all 4 – 5 stars except for Laguna Hills, which I rate a 2 star experience.
I have been to this location ocasionally for the lunch buffet and the service here has never been on par with the rest of the chain. I have never experienced or even seen rudeness by staff, but they appear understaffed due to the lack of presence at the cash register. This leads to long wait times to pay and start lunch.
The pizza selection usually lacks (or is outright non-​existent), but once they put out a pizza you like it is usually very good as you would expect from this chain. I don’t expect anything fancy, I usually just want a simple pepperoni pizza like the one on all of their buffet advertising. They eventually get one made, but again the wait can be long.
I knew many months ago that something had drastically changed for the worse when the napkin dispensers disappeared. They switched to only giving you ONE napkin with your plate with the buffet. Really???
I went back a few weeks ago only to find that they no longer even offer a buffet, which is another bad sign. Too bad because the chain is great, but I suspect this location may not be here much longer. Well there is always Lake Forest (which is awesome BTW).

Mountain Mike’s in Laguna Hills is great little pizza parlor with a fantastic ambiance, real friendly service, and some awesomely tasty pizza.
Stopped in to pick up a medium pepperoni pie and it was ready within 10 minutes… Pipping hot, crispy crust and not too greasy, really good quality pepperoni and at an affordable price… A must try!
They do have take-​out or delivery, and if you’re in the area be sure to stop by and sit in the dining room to catch a game or let the kids play in the arcade… Fun times!
Pros: The pepperoni they use is top quality and delicious.
Cons: Location is sort of cramped and hard to get to. Constantly under construction.
Mountain Mike’s is a great replacement to the Shakey’s that was once located in the complex and a great family friendly stop or call for pizza in Laguna Hills. Give it a go!

DO NOT GO THERE!!! I REPEAT… DO NOT GO THERE!!! BAD FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE, AND ON TOP OF THAT VERY RUDE EMPLOYEES.
We ordered two specialty pizzas, and we specifically asked the cashier to remove some of the ingredients. After 20 minutes or so, the pizza shows up with everything on it. We could work around one by removing the unwanted ingredients, but not the other.
When I went back to talk to the cashier, he claimed that we never said anything about special requests (One of the requests was no pepperoni. You can’t forget to make such a request if you don’t eat pork). After a very uncomfortable back and fourth, he agreed to give us store credit since we didn’t have time to wait for another pizza. However, he wanted me to start at the end of the line to get the credit. Mind you, the line at that point was very long, because a girls soccer team walked in with the parents. You get the picture.
We obviously couldn’t wait and didn’t get the store credit. Will never go back.
I wish I could give them no stars.
