My husband and I came in the other day to look for a dining table and found the perfect style we had been searching for. A very knowledgeable salesperson helped us that day and spent the better part of the afternoon educating us about the differences in brands, styles and craftsmanship. It made me realize how much work goes into making furniture and how much I admire the fact that the designer was willing to take the time to not only share this with me but also come out to my house for FREE to look at our room and measure! The manager was also very helpful and told us a lot about one of their Italian dining tables that they import from Northern Italy and the level the Italians go to making the table look like an antique. It was amazing information that made us fall in love with our table even more so. He even was kind enough to help us with some heavy lamps that we needed wrapped and loaded into our car because their warehouse person had left early. Another great reason for us to shop at von Hemerts was that it was in stock and we could have it in our home by Christmas! We were so excited about our overall experience that we told our friends about von Hemerts and now they’re buying their art and rugs from there. It was a very positive experience and we are so excited about our new purchase. We will keep coming back

We were initially attracted to von Hemert Interiors’ Laguna Beach location because of the quality of furniture, the way the displays were curated and the courteous and knowledgeable staff. That was four years ago. Since then, we have learned that there is so much more. We purchased a large home in the Hollywood Hills and the scale was daunting in terms of interior design. We could just not seem to get it right ourselves. Luckily, we worked with a von Hemert design team lead by Sharon Konek to bring sophisticated, yet livable, solutions to our problem. Sharon is an atypical interior designer. Frankly consultant is a better description. We never felt as if she was imposing her vision on our home. It was quite the opposite. She would listen to our ideas and concerns and use them as the foundation for her recommendations. The end result was a design that maintained all of our sensibilities, but incorporated Sharon’s vast knowledge of various products, scale, color, texture and placement. She took us to a place that we could not have gotten to without her. That is the mark of a true design professional! Now the more mundane: nothing is more annoying than a fragmented project where different professionals are required to get the job completed. Sharon took care of everything from paint color, wall paper and custom design sub-​projects and made sure they were all installed and coordinated. Having a point person like Sharon was critical. If there were snags in any process, Sharon addressed it and got it fixed. Besides being friendly and easy to work with, Sharon has a respect for a budget. That is why we have asked her to work with us on more than one project and will continue to do so. We feel that we have a quality product for a good value. Sharon knows how to spend a budget wisely by balancing higher and lower priced pieces into a design concept that never feels or looks compromised. We keep trying, but we have never given Sharon a problem she has been unable to solve. Coming home is such a joy.
