Fresh Produce

This place is lacking in customer service. Walked in on Sunday around noon. Two Sales associates were at the register chatting away. Neither said hi to me, offered to help me, or even said bye when I left.

I give them a 4 for the clothing selection and reasonable prices on most of the pieces. But a 0-​Zero for customer service. The owner was rushing around the store telling the staff what needed to be done and not once acknowledged any of the customers in the store. None of the staff did either. I was there for 20 minutes looking and picking up clothes to try on. Surely one of the ladies working there would eventually ask how I was doing or if I needed help. Nope.
The staff were too busy gossiping and stocking to help any customers and I even helped myself to a changing room. I guess if you know what you want and don’t need a lick of customer service go here.

The clothes here are perfect for Southern California and reasonably priced for the quality. The review below regarding the color washing out on other clothes is because they are dyed after the garment is assembled. These clothes need to be washed separately if they are bright or dark colors, same as with any clothes that are cotton. The colors are vibrant and that is what makes them so beautiful.
Bought a sundress here and I love it. 100% cotton and so comfortable. Bought another online I liked it so much. Well constructed and will last for years.

Went in on Christmas Eve to shop at Fresh Produce. and check out Laguna, after it’s flood. Shops on Forest were busy with happy and relieved patrons. Restaurants busy, most shops back up and running.
Ok, back to my time here, this is what I wear basically, any kind of long cotton drawstring yoga pants, t-​shirts, long sleeve tops. I’m a casual kind of girl. I think they are coming down on their prices quite a bit. Got a knee length sleep wear kinda gown, very cute in Tangerine Was $ 75.00– marked down to $ 38.00, asked if I could pay $ 30.00 and she said Yes! Of course, we looove that!

My wife, a very careful shopper — elegant but budget conscious — stopped here to buy a couple of items while we were vacationing in Laguna Beach. The owner is VERY nice, helpful, and friendly. The clothing is reasonably priced and perfect for the casual atmosphere of Laguna Beach.

Fresh Produce is great for beach season, or when you go to Hawaii. Now that I don’t live in Hawaii anymore, I don’t have much use for this style of clothing, but it’s still really comfortable to have to lounge around the house in.
I used to buy Fresh Produce at Nordstrom’s before they had their own independent stores. Nowadays, Fresh Produce has its own stores in some exclusive areas and Laguna Beach is one of them. I went into the store today and noticed how the styles have changed to more stylish fashions, although the traditional beach wear styles are still around.
It’s all so pricey now so not sure if I’ll pick up another Fresh Produce items anytime soon, but they last a long time. I still have about 4 pieces and have had them for years. The colors last through hundreds of washes too. 100% cotton!
