He does good work, and hes a great guy. He’s been my dentist since I was a kid… but now that i’m older I see as with any business, its all about money. I went in to get a cavity refilled whose filling had fallen out. This is a huge hole in my molar, horrible how it accumulates food in there. you have to brush actually into the cavity to get everything out. I call them saying«i need to get a cavity refilled.» I go in, am talked into a teeth cleaning and x-ray. The x-ray showed that I had some other ‘trouble spots’… but none of these seemed as pressing or significant as the giant HOLE in my molar… though hey, i’m no dds. I specifically said I have to get this fixed, the only reason I came in was to get it fixed. Instead he did work on two different teeth, shaved them down, filled them up(my bite still feels off), and left the cavity untouched. 800 dollars later, all I can afford to eat is ramen and I still have a giant gaping hole in my molar. freakin whistles when I talk sometimes. i feel like a country bumpkin.

i’m pretty much anti-dentistry after two really poor experiences about 12 years ago, but my wife was on my case to go. she recommended dr. clark. dr. clark is a great general dentist. he’s personable and makes you feel very at ease. his work is meticulous, almost artistic(how appropriate for laguna beach) and he doesn’t try to up-sell you at all. he’ll give you honest advice and options about your teeth. the office staff is amazing, helpful and very friendly and the view of main beach will certainly take your mind off of sharp, pokey things in your mouth
