Doug and the whole staff at RHF was great. My loan closed on time, and it was a very easy process. Lots if paperwork, but I realize that’s just how it is.

I strongly recommend against working with Residential Home Funding when seeking a loan. My mortgage loan process has been drawn out for 5 months due to incompetence, unprofessionalism, and unresponsiveness on the part of Residential Home Funding. Both loan officers with whom I have had to work (the first one left the company mid-​process) have been sources of misinformation under the guise of inflated ego. After asking the same explicit question to our loan officer and getting no answer or vague responses, he finally replied with the incorrect information, which further delayed our process. So here’s what happened.
I had intended to sell a house I own to my parents. I was completely upfront about all the variables involved, including some negatives. Our agent indicated his understanding and said he would see what he could do.
Well good news, we’re approved to move forward, just sign here, pay this fee, get a lawyer, we’re good to go. Alright, everything’s in place we just need to wait to close.
And wait.
And wait.
Suddenly I can’t get a hold of anyone in the office. When I finally do they say something about how the bank backed away and wants to see a couple more months of financial history from my parents. He’ll talk to the bank and get back to us within 24 hours.
And we wait.
and wait.
and don’t get returns to our phone calls.

and don’t get returns to our emails.
and wait.
So I call and ask to speak to the manager. I get someone who wouldn’t identify himself, says he’ll look into the situation and call me back within 3 hours.
He never did.
2 weeks later we finally get a hold of someone who tells my mother in the most annoyed tone he could possibly muster that we had been turned down by the bank and there was nothing we could do about it, bye.
Now we’re out roughly $ 1200 with absolutely no recourse for recovering any losses due to a completely disingenuous company. I would strongly advise you avoid doing business with this company.
