Great for a slice!!! BBQ chicken slice is great and very filling, hard to finish 2 slices… Garlic knots are always fresh… They always have a few specialty pies available for slices, lasagna, various chicken slices, etc… Lots of Arlington students during lunch time on a weekday, but they operate quickly in there… Overall I would recommend this place for a quick bite…

Well it was a while since I stopped by. You can say goodbye to the huge slices that I used to get here which made it such a great value. So the best I can give this place now is an average review. Also they must have a new chef or something because the taste is somewhat different as well, not bad just a little more bland.

I went to this place, which is basically a pizza and Italian food take out with eat in option, because I saw they had shawarma on the menu I got in the mail. Shawarma is a middle eastern dish, and as far as I know, this is the only place in the greater Poughkeepsie area offering it(there used to be a middle eastern restaurant that had it but it burned down). Talking to the owner who prepared the food, he is from that part of the world and wanted to offer some different choices even though it is an Italian restaurant(how that came about I don’t know). In any case it was clear he cared about doing it right and was happy someone wanted this dish. In any event, I got the chicken shawarma(beef is also offered), and it was served as a wrap. The wrap was very well presented, and a very ample sandwich and held together very well for easy eating. And most importantly it was delicious. I’ve had this in other places and it was right up there with them(and far superior to what I had gotten at the place that burned down). For something different, I recommend that people in the area take this home some night for a different treat. I will be returning for the beef soon and also want to try some other things that look very appealing on the menu. It should be noted that they have a large menu and many interesting pizza offerings(probably you won’t see a falafel pizza anywhere else), as well as the usual selection of Italian entrees, paninis, and sandwiches. So it’s not fancy, but worth a visit.
