Always great breakfast tacos and fast service and after only a few visits your welcomed by name, even if its been a couple months between visits.

My first time to eat at Dee Dee’s and both the food and the service was amazing! I had the jalapeño burger and my friend had tacos.

Wow!!! Tried to call to make it to go order twice with no answer? So I decided to drive to see about maybe their phone be off the hook. When I get there there’s three people in the restaurant. One girl says I’ll be right with you so I waited about two minutes. Then she says are you here for to go order or or to make an order? I said I need to order something to go and she says well it’ll be 20 minutesbefore we can get yours! I guess they had large orders ahead of me and saying that was only going to order one thing I guess it was too much! Wow is all I can say wow! I used to live here in Lago Vista and just came to visit family. Next time I come I will not attempt to eat here so sad!

This place is adorable. Locally owned, service w a smile. Dee Dee herself made my breakfast tacos and they were awesome. I would go back for dinner just to try their handmade tortillas.

LOVE IT! Fluffy fresh home made flour tortillas, very tasty refried beans (made from scratch NOT from a can). Thick bacon, best bang for your buck AND best hangover breakfast.

We dine at Dee Dee’s every chance we get. If you’re looking for great food, especially breakfast… this is the place. I especially love their homemade tortilla’s! Everything is made to order, is fresh and delicious!

I’ve been eating here for over 5 years when I’m in Lago Vista and it’s usually ok, apparently not anymore. We went in and ordered nachos, a burger and a quesadilla. After spending 15 minutes watching the girl «cook» while talking on the phone and taking her time the nachos came out. They were cold, the cheese wasn’t melted and didn’t have the guacamole or tomatoes like the picture. After asking for guac she brings a tiny little container and says that’s all that they have and there will be none for the quesadilla. We wait 10 more minutes watching the girl in the back still on her phone the burger comes out, it wasn’t bad besides it took over 25 minutes. We then see that they are both on their phones in the back and nobody is cooking or waiting tables. We ask and she informs us she hasn’t even started the quesadilla yet bc she was busy, so one of us didn’t even get to eat because we wasted our entire lunch break watching them talk on the phone. After saying cancel the order besides the burger and drinks they offer 50% the non eaten plate of nachos and got an attitude and asked why I didn’t want to pay for them and then snatched my card out of my hand. I’ve been to Dee Dee’s several times over the past few years and let me tell you, the only thing they have going for them is that they’re one of the ONLY breakfast places in the area and, as far as I know, the ONLY Mexican restaurant.
My first a bad experience was a few years ago when the owner rudely told me to «make a decision» when there is no line and no other customers in the place.
However, after this past Saturday, I will never go back to this restaurant, if you want to call a place with terrible service and disgusting, bland food a «restaurant.»
We came in Saturday with 8 people to grab a few breakfast tacos after a very late night. The server had a ridiculously hard time comprehending our breakfast taco orders. We’d each say what we wanted and she’d somehow repeat it incorrectly. When the food came out, 3 of the 8 orders were wrong. Literally, all we ordered was breakfast tacos. And fixing these orders, which should have been simple, took at least 5 minutes each. The worst part of it was that she literally could not comprehend that the refried beans in one taco were not chorizo. How do you work at a Mexican restaurant and not know the difference between refried beans and chorizo? After explaining to both our server and the «chefs» 3 times that our friend had ordered beans, eggs, potato, and CHORIZO tacos, they compromised by giving her «extra chorizo»… How can you give someone EXTRA chorizo if there was never any there to begin with? I’ll note that the server was nice enough and kept apologizing, but it was just beyond simple mistakes. She was the only one out of the four employees there that seemed to even be working.
Overall, my food was disgusting and bland. As I’ve said, I’ve been here many times, but I couldn’t even finish my food this time and later, I was sick from it.
If you want a breakfast taco, go to the donut shop across the street. You will definitely regret wasting your money and harming your taste buds at Dee Dees.
