Agreed with other reviews here. My mother-in-law died a few years ago. We contacted Sinai and we family went for a visit. Things were done smoothly and professionally from there. We were quite happy with them. Their price was quite competitive also.(I think the price has since gone up, but still good value.)

Reviewing a mortuary seems morbid. When you are Jewish, there are certain protocols/timeframes/etc. that have to be adhered to and truthfully, when I was dealing with the fact that my beloved Grandmother was dying, I knew who I needed to contact and why. Not having a ton of experience in this realm it is also hard to give a place a rating though I do feel it is important to know that there are places like this who know what to do when you need it done. Tomorrow will be two months since my Gram passed away and this Sinai was on call(she had been on Hospice for several days prior to her passing) as I was the one in charge of dealing with my Gram’s affairs. They were able to help me with every aspect of coordinating having her body picked up, taken care of(it was a Jewish Holiday), dealing with expediting her death certificate in order to have her body shipped to Arizona(where she was buried next to my Grandfather) and working with the Sinai Mortuary in Arizona(not affiliated but all of the Jewish mortuaries are affiliated in some ways). Things are still a bit of a blur and somedays the grief is overwhelming. I am very lucky that my Gram’s wishes were well documented and that I was able to carry them out to the best of my ability. I am very grateful that Sinai in Lafayette was able to handle everything for me with a few phone calls, with care and dignity and without me having to schlep anywhere to deal with paperwork after they had come to pick up her body. Additionally, they offer grief counseling and support services as needed. Thank you Sinai.

I was with my best friend when she met with a very nice young man at this funeral home. He was young but mature with tremendous compassion. The arrangements were simple to make and I felt that the staff genuinely wanted to make this as easy as possible. We all will face a day when we bury a loved one. To know a place like Sinai cares and honors the deceased and family so well convinced me to call them when the time comes.
