I pass through Lafayette at least once a week and always stop by Martha’s for lunch. Appearances are deceiving! The food here is REALLYGOOD and $‘d right. My new favorite is Polo Asado plate. Tender and delicious with usual rich & creamy Refried beans, great rice and tortillas. Don’t forget a large glass of Horchata to wash it down. Also, always interesting to listen in on the vineyard gossip as a lot of local msgagers seem to frequent Martha’s at lunch time.

The food didn’t blow my mind but it’s a dive Mexican place so my expectations weren’t high. It was cheap, tasty enough, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Great place to grab a quick bite.

The establishment could use a lot of TLC, wasn’t very clean or welcoming. Food was alright. They are skimpy and expensive when it comes to extra guacamole or sour cream. Husband loved the tamales. My chicken was dry and the rice was dried out as well. Will try them again and see if it was just an off day for them.

I’ve lived in Yamhill County since 1998 and I’m so sad I haven’t tried Martha’s in those 15+ years! Boy was I missing out! The corn tortillas are fluffy, soft and to die for. Chicken and shredded beef tacos were amazing with salsa and diced green onions. Chilli rellenos were home made and very tasty with an excellent sauce. They were all sold out of their pork tamales, but that is what I’ll try next time I go. Simple and clean interior with friendly staff. Highly recommend their food over the typical stuff you get at every Mexican restaurant in McMinnville. YUM!

We love this place. Chimichangas are baked, not deep-fried… awesome! Tamales are wonderful… I always buy a dozen to freeze at home. Burritos are huge and delicious. Service is quick and really friendly. Again, we love this place!

The refried beans are like velvet of flavor in your mouth. My husband and I detour on our way to the beach. We are never disappointed.

So admittedly, when I come to Martha’s Tacos it is for the giant burritos. While the rest of the menu looks great, my friends and I have a belief that happiness is proportional to the number of burritos you’ve eaten and Martha’s is one of the best stops in the valley. The choice of fresh, homemade ingredients are stellar and if you manage to eat the entire burrito, you wont need dinner for a very long time. This is a great place is you are on the go, and I often do a take-out order to eat while I am out working in a vineyard. Often times you can see we with a expensive pinot in one hand and a thick monster burrito in the other.

Just tried the nachos and boy, are they delicous. We had chicken and it came with beens, white cheese, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. I could probably eat them every day if I had the opportunity! The staff was great about taking our large to-go order over the phone to have ready when I got there, but there was a little mix up. Thankfully one of the employees realized it before I even got the food so that was nice. If you want decently priced authentic-ish Mexican food, this is the place.

I’ve been living in the Southwest US for 40 years and visiting various parts of Mexico regularly during that time. I’m something of a Mexican food snob… from street tacos to huitlacoche crepes. This is great stuff. My wife’s carnitas were some of the best we’ve had, and my adobado tacos the same. We’re making Martha’s a regular stops on our frequent trips through the area.

My dad and sister love this place. It’s their go-to place in Lafayette. At Martha’s, you know you will get fresh food and that it will be tasty. I have a bit higher standards. I don’t pick a taco joint because it’s three minutes away. I pick a place based on how much I love the food. The food here is good, it’s just not great. If you want some truly delicious Mexican food in Yamhill County, there are some great places in Mac and a stellar one in Dundee. Don’t sell yourself short. Eat your burrito calories in a place with truly phenomenal food.

Standard Mexican street taco on a soft corn tortilla, your choice of meat chunks, with onions and cilantro. Very tasty! $ 1.75 is a good deal when you consider other«Mexican» joints sell crispy Gringo tacos with ground beef, and lots of lettuce for several dollars. Chili relleno was very nicely done, and the wet burrito was huge. All in all, one of the better Mexican restaurants I’ve tried in Oregon, at very reasonable prices.

Great food and fast service at reasonable prices. The tortillas tasted like they were homemade and the fillings were all terrific. I think the lag between ordering and inhaling our food was maybe two minutes. This is what all fast food should be like.

Martha’s food is excellent. It’s a great way to fuel up before and after tasting wine at one of the many wineries nearby. The ladies who work there are also very nice.

I eat regularly at Martha’s. The food is good, plain, Mexican fare, and the room is nothing to write home about. Nice folks — stop for a quick lunch during crush and hear all of the winemaking gossip for the area.

Martha’s Tacos and More sits in a parking lot right off the main drag in Lafayette. The restaurant itself is housed in a nondescript building that you’d probably drive right by if there wasn’t a sign on the street. The interior of Martha’s Tacos is not much either but it is clean. What Martha’s lacks in décor it more than makes up for in food quality. The staff is friendly, humorous, and very accommodating. Tacos go for $ 1.75 and you have your choice of meats. Interestingly, ground beef was not one of the taco meat selections. Complete meals including rice and beans cost $ 7.95. Seafood selections go for $ 8.95. The tortillas at Martha’s are handmade, doughy, and absolutely delicious. Martha’s tomato salsa is outstanding. One interesting concept at Martha’s Tacos is the«Wet Burrito» and the«Wet Tamale.» This is a burrito or a tamale swimming in a delicious enchilada type of sauce. You sop up your burrito or tamale in the sauce. It makes for a wonderful meal and it only costs around $ 4. The old saying«you can’t judge a book by it’s cover» certainly applies to Martha’s Tacos & More. In Martha’s case the cover doesn’t look that great but the contents are so delicious and inexpensive.

We were undecided as to what to have for lunch and figured whatever looked good as we drove down 99W would work. As we approached Lafayette, this amazing aroma filled the air and by the time we were in front of Martha’s we knew we had to stop. I had the carnitas plate which was not only delicious, but generous in portion. My husband had the tostada which he reported was good, but his only complaint was that the shell tasted like it was fried in rancid oil. He was a bit scared for the hour following the meal, but he never was sick from it. The service was very friendly and very quick. Despite my husband’s complaint about the tostada shell, we will go back to Martha’s whenever we find ourselves back in Lafayette.

Martha’s Tacos serves up exceptionally tasty, remarkably affordable fare. They offer sopas, tostadas and a variety of other Mexican food not necessarily found at a typical taqueria. A definite bonus, if you have time to sit and enjoy it, is the wet burrito(any of their burrito offerings smothered in a well-spiced and subtle enchilada sauce)! If you’re in Lafayette and hungry, you can’t go wrong at Martha’s!
