I smile every time I look at the wonderful painting on my living room wall, the first piece of professional original art I have ever owned. Jennifer was incredible at helping find a piece of artwork that was meaningful for me.

Had a fun and introspective art class with Jennifer Perlmutter tonight! There were 8 of us in the class. Focused on mixed media collage and color! So cool to see everyone’s unique designs. Most of the class were art virgins. Can’t wait to go back! She’s doing the classes twice a month.

Fresh creative explosions happening here in the burbs. A sophisticated urban experience with lively openings and interesting artist talks. This little gallery has so much to offer and all we had to do is show up. What a joy to have such prolific and brave artists in our midst!

I was thrilled to find out a gallery was opening in Lafayette. We don’t have many galleries in the area so it was a niche that needed filling. The owner, Jennifer Perlmutter, is friendly and energized. She loves talking about the art, the artists and upcoming events. Her energy is contagious. Hubby and I went to the reception last Thursday and she showcased an artist who created art from books in a 3-d platform… plus there were other artists who expressed themselves through intensely bright colors fusing the space with vibrancy. The gallery itself has bright white walls which makes the art stand out. I loved the pieces in the window — they are eye-catching and certainly draw you in. The gallery also offers workshops and last summer there were special events for budding young artists. I will be back of course and strongly encourage others to stop by. Additionally, if you are considering adding large pieces of art to your space and are looking for a statement piece, Jennifer’s mixed media works are excellent suggestions.

Lovely little independently-owned art gallery that just opened one month ago in the East Bay. The owner and artist, Jennifer Perlmutter, is friendly and open about her art; she paints and creates in her studio in the back room! According to her, she wanted to create an open space to make art accessible to the community. To that end, there are events happening regularly: art camp for kids, color workshops, and creating with nature. Apparently the private opening reception filled the small space to the brim with people! There is an upcoming reception with a poetry reading and photography: You’ll find me there that evening :) The artist’s pieces on display are mixed media, oil, and water. The blues, reds, and a few soft pastels make me think of floating calmly on the water or in the clouds :) There is small bench and two adorable poofy blue stools where you can sit down to enjoy the art. The newly remodeled interior is crisp, clean, and bright with excellent lighting to view the artwork. Open Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
