Tons of books in this place and a great selection. A little pricey for used but still better than paying full price at B&N.

This is my husbands’s absolute favorite used book store. We don’t have anything that compares in Denver, Colorado(where we live). It is really large and has a lot of selection in every section you can think of! He collects particular series and he often finds stuff for his collection. The store associates are helpful and not too intrusive — they let you look and help when you need it! It is a great shop if you love looking through the stacks. It seems a little off the beaten path and kind of in a weird shopping plaza, but what do I know I am not from here! :)

Earl Plaza Books is a hidden gem. They’ve got a massive and well organized selection of used books and great prices on everything from books to comics and collectables. Definitely worth a visit.

Earl Plaza books may be a great place to buy books, but DONOT sell them there. Unfortunately, they are a business and they need to make money, so when you sell your books, do not expect to get back enough money to even buy a new book. I took several boxes of books and came out with enough money to buy lunch at a fast food place. I’m not saying they did anything wrong, they were just doing there job, but they should have let me know up front that I would be getting pennies for my books. The first time I sold books to them I was told that if I set up a «book trade» account I would get half off of the books I purchased with this credit. I took this to mean that with my $ 40 in store credit I would get $ 80 in books. In fact, this meant that I would get $ 80 worth of books by using the $ 40 in my account and $ 40 cash. To me, this is not getting half off, this is milking my money and not giving me what I am due. Maybe someone explained the«book trade» to me wrong, but this does not make sense. When I think of a used book store, I think of a place where you can constantly sell and buy books for pretty reasonable rates, yet their books seem to be priced pretty high($ 8 for a paperback), considering they were used. I was not at all happy with my service. I dropped off my books and was told I would be mailed a check, yet I called two weeks later and there was no check ever written. I had to drive over and pick up my $ 15, which, frankly, was a slap in the face. Maybe other people have had a decent experience in this store, but I have not in the three times I have been there. Just a forewarning, do not sell your books and expect money back, it won’t happen.

This has to be one of the largest used book stores I’ve ever been to. When I was a teenager I could spend hours wandering thru here looking for new books to read. They literally have everything. Now that I’ve been gone for 10 years or so I still make an effort to go visit when I’m back in town. I can still spend a good hour in here wandering around. Definitely one of the best bookstores!
