Great coffee shop and bar with a unique vibe. The place was spacious and cozy with all kinds of curious art to look at. If you’re in Lafayette and want to unwind, this is a great option.

This place rocks best coffee in town go there it rocks ass. Best food too alligator balls and wings is awesome I’ve been going there at least 20 years with my whole family it’s my favorite place

Honestly, the best dive bar and coffee café expedience in one place. Bar is divey, music is great, café side has great coffee. Tasty burgers, but the best thing to grub on is the alligator étouffée balls. Love this place.

Would have been a 4 or 5 star experience easy, but…
there was this old, banged up bar-​fly duder who was really drunk, brushing up on, talking to everyone, smokin’, drinkin’, singing along AND LOUDLY to the music. Guy was clearly on his own program.
When he would wander off or go outside it was a very enjoyable experience. when he would come back, it made me want to leave.
I was hoping the bartender would notice his behavior and either give him some coaching or have him go elsewhere.

Some of the best drink specials during the week. Big screen TVs for games, movies, and Buzztime trivia. One gripe: they have a non smoking side which stays nearly empty while you can rarely find seating on the smoking side. Oh, and there is no wall, seal, barrier, or other deterrent keeping smoke on the smoking side… what’s the point you ask? Maybe it’s more economically feasible to cater to the person that comes in one time and leaves a Unilocal review complaining about smoke than it is to cater to the loyal patrons that come in twice a week or more then leave because they have to keep getting up to cross an imaginary boundary to have a cigarette. But then again I’m no mathematician… I mean there HAS to be some logical reason behind it, right?!

This place is really cool. There aren’t many places that are cafes by day and bars by night. The customers seem pretty cool and friendly. The music is also pretty good. The reason I am giving it three stars though is because the service is terrible. This has to be the slowest place I’ve ever been to. The bar might be almost completely empty and yet it takes 20 minutes to order something. If they improve their service I would definitely add at least one star.

Should be smoke free

This is a great bar by night and café by day. The staff is super friendly with good taste in music. Kandice was especially awesome and was very willing and good at creating drinks for my undecided sister who likes to request «surprise me», food is decent and the atmosphere is nice and chill.
This place is now on my default list of spots to go to when I visit home.

Caffe’ Cottage is one of my favorite places in town. The staff and locals are very friendly, there’s a great beer selection, the music is great, and the food is decent. Not to mention I can get all of my buzztime trivia needs taken care of as well. This is actually the only bar I’ll go to by myself if I’m bored. I’ll also stop by for coffee and wireless internet in the mornings if I happen to be in the area. Pets are also welcome.
