Algae Busters

I would not recommend Algae Busters to anyone who needs to have a public pool serviced. I am sure they do a decent job on residential pools but they do not have the skills, professionalism or expertise for servicing community pools. Our service was mediocre and the maintenance/​repair aspect of their business is severely wanting. But I can say we didn’t have algae in the pool in the summer.

We have used Algea Busters for over 10 years. They clean our pool every week and it is always immaculate. Repairs are done quickly and they are ready to assist when needed.

We’ve used Algae Busters for years, and we’ve had nothing but superior service. The technicians have all been knowledgeable, reliable, and hard-​working. It’s an excellent family-​owned business (more than 30 years in business), and the owners and employees are committed to top-​level work. There is little turnover with their employees which says something about the business. We’ve had the same guy cleaning our pool for a long time.
Also, they take pride in doing more than the run-​of-​the-​mill pool cleaning. We were forced into using another pool service when we first bought our house due to a contract the builder had in place. There was no comparison with Algae Busters. We changed to A.B. as soon as we were able. In addition to cleaning, Algae Busters has done a great job proactively keeping an eye out for issues with our pool. Their reputation is on the line, and they take their customer service seriously.

I used them for about one year. I guess they did an ok job of weekly service but I can not really tell if they do acually show up every week to do the work. What really annoyed me was my experience with them regarding some repair works of my pool and the spa. They charged me top dollars for certain fixes of the pool but it never rearlly worked properly, I had to call them and left message for them to show up for services, only to be found later that the thing was not fixed propely. This went on for 5 – 6 times and I finally had to urge them to be more responsible and put an end to the nighmare. Instead of being appologetic (whcih they should do), they would unilaterally terminate the service agreement, unbelievable!
Would never use them again.
