I am a huge fan of Greek soulvocki. Beef & chicken. I changed restaurants because my former hangout didn’t cook thier chicken fresh to order.(Dry & old). I tried Apollo and their soulvocki is absolutely outstanding! Big portions but more importantly FRESH. Maybe the best I ever tasted.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years, needless to say the consistency of this place holds up. Great Greek breakfasts and an awesome fish fry as well. Bring cash as they do not take cards.

Best Potato Pancakes in town, Fish Fry was huge and so were the sides. Excellent service, Jessica was awesome, super friendly. Can’t beat their Open Chicken Souvlaki either. This place is just perfect.

I give it 4 stars. It’s clean, friendly, service is always great and prices are very good. The portion sizes are on the larger size. You can split the food and go home full. You can choose something really cheap and 2 people can get out of there paying far less than 20 including tip. Yes, you have to pay cash, but I don’t mind, they have an ATM. It’s a little greek restaurant with a huge following!

We usually come here on Fridays for fish. I’ve had their fish fry before and the fish itself is very good. I just don’t like that you get all of these sides that are so heavy and mayo based. I really like their salads, especially the chicken souvlaki and the cranberry chicken.

Came here with a friend for breakfast a few times. The waitresses have both times been very friendly. The first time I got a Philly steak omelette that came with home fries, and toast for $ 7.99. It came with green peppers which I don’t like so they were nice enough to substitute banana peppers instead. My friend didn’t want the home fries so they offered her sliced tomatoes. The second time I got one of their morning breakfast specials of 2 eggs, home fries, 2 meat(bacon, sausage, or ham), and toast for $ 4.59. I chose the ham which was good. The only advice I can give is that when ordering toast ask for it lightly toasted if you don’t like it dark because both visits the toast was borderline burnt. They also serve lunch and dinner which I have yet to try. This is a CASHONLY restaurant.

It is very comfortable here with the atmosphere and roomy booths. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I ordered the open chicken souvlaki with grilled pita and a side of tzatziki. The chicken was grilled just right and very flavorful. They do pita the right way here. I love their thin grilled pita with a light crispiness to it. I was happy too that their tzatziki was delicious. Even my fresh brewed ice tea with lemon was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant. They have a full menu of Greek and American dishes.

They don’t take credit cards??? Is this the 80s? They remodel to make it not look so run down but even after a complete rehaul they don’t take cards? The amount of traffic in and out is ridiculous and the amenity they offer is an ATM outside to pay a fee to get cash to pay for meal. Meals were tons of food for cheap but are slowly increasing and lack of change in their menu slowly became tiring.

I went on a Friday evening for a fish fry. It was packed and the service was less than stellar. The fish itself has a strange metallic/burnt taste to it. I had to send it back. The fries were lukewarm and a bit soggy. The macaroni salad was also lukewarm instead of cold. I ended up getting an open soulvaki. The beef itself was tender and cooked well. The iceberg lettuce that accompanied the soulvaki was wilted and many pieces were brown along the edges. It wasn’t very good. I won’t be returning.

The food is really good, I had a bite of the open souvlaki lamb and shrimp and both are incredible and I had myself the Mediterranean burger which was indeed deliciousness

I’ve been coming here for at least 20 years, before it was called Apollo. The food comes out super fast, the breakfast is always on point and the servers keep your drinks filled. What more can you ask from a diner? Make sure you have cash on you otherwise you’ll have to use the ATM just inside the front door. You can eat like a king for $ 8 and breakfast is served all day. My favorite diner. Probably deserves 3 stars but I eat here more often than I do in my house.

Not outstanding, like any other Greek restaurant. Good food, reasonable prices, large portions, and a friendly staff.

Best open Souvlaki I’ve had since Victoria Station. Friendly, clean(bathrooms too) and very inexpensive. Service was great and the place was redone. Try it!

Sometimes even the greatest of wallets only has six bucks in it. Sometimes that happens, and your kitchen ain’t prepared to do anything kooky like cook in it. When those times overlap, places like the Apollo shine. Never venture into a little greek diner expecting haute cuisine. The disappointment that will follow will be entirely on you. But for comfort food, where they listen to how you want your home fries and they will show up in that condition is a good thing. Ventured into Apollo and was sent home full and happy after blowing the grand total of $ 5.00 and change. Eggs, bacon hash browns, toast and generous coffee refills, all done with diner style and panache, what’s not to love about that. I’d go back(in fact I already did)

Apollo; the son of Zeus and Leto, the twin brother of Artemis, the huntress. The god of light and the sun, of truth and healing, of plague and prophecy, and all things artistic. So the Apollo restaurant is none of these things… but it is a decent Greek style restaurant. Typical of many in the area, their menu is diverse, reasonably priced, the food is good, the portions hearty and the service is decent. Our waitress yesterday morning didn’t seem to be the friendliest person ever, but everyone has a bad day and I know what it is like to be grumpy in the morning. Noted, forgiven and hey, I hope her day got better after she got out of work. But her service was still quick, accurate and attentive. Not everyone needs to be the ray of sunshine that was Apollo!

Your average run of the mill Greek restaurant. Good food, reasonable prices, hearty portions, decent menu selections, and a friendly staff. If your looking for a quality meal on the cheap, Apollo is a good choice.

My dining partner seems to have a fascination with Greek restaurants, I have never quite been able to understand this but I do allow for her proclivities. Perhaps, being of German descent, she is of the belief that she has a duty do her part for the Euro-zone and help the Greeks be profitable. I don’t know. If you have been to any of the other local Greek restaurants, you know what you will get here… some decent food served a bit on the greasy side at a very affordable price. Now, unlike a lot of the Greek restaurants in the area, this one is old school. No fancy décor, just your traditional lunch counter and booths. Enjoy!
